The home was clean and had everything we needed. The view of the ocean is perfect, and the balcony furniture is nice. We walked across the street to the beach. Walmart is walking distance. Would definitely recommend!

Great location and was a blast to stay in. Only comment we have was the floors were dirtier than one would expect. Understand its a beach condo but the floors were more than just sand.

Captain’s Cabana is such a cute place! My kids (ages 9, 11, and 12) and I had a blast exploring the large amount of DVDs and games in the room. We especially liked the sand and pool toys available for us to use! The complex itself was easy to navigate and check into. We also loved how most places were within walking distance. My family and I will definitely consider staying here again during our next trip to Galveston!

The balcony seating was comfortable and offered beautiful sunrise views over the ocean while overlooking one of the pools. Truly the best of both worlds! Every little detail in the decor was so charming and the hosts were wonderful to work with!!

One pool was very cold but the other one was nice .staff at counter wasn’t always well informed . Walked to three different buildings to get my laundry done only to find out that the washer in my building was actually working . Otherwise property is nice and our ci do was beautiful . Location was perfect within walking distance to Walmart .

Great view and great location for the beach. Only hassle is the checkin process where you have to pay additional fees to park. They are up front about this, but still a hassle. Overall a great experience.

We enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was clean, and very close to the beach. There were plenty of towels and dishes. Check in was easy. There was one heated pool and one regular. There was a hot tub just for adults. Walmart is right next door so that was convenient. We were able to sleep 3 adults and 3 kids because of the double futons. The only feature we found challenging was there was no full size refrigerator so it was hard to keep groceries for breakfast and lunch or even leftovers because the fridge was tiny. Otherwise we really enjoyed the stay!

We loved this condo. Perfect view, very close to the parking area so not a far walk at all. Even walking out the front door the view of the relaxing area of the hotel. While sitting on the balcony you had a view of the ocean and the pool We will most certainly be staying in the room more often when we come down. Even the decor was so cute and comfy. The thing I love the most with this is they also had beach things you could use, even a wagon. They had games inside to entertain yourself as well. We all around loved this stay and will be back! Thank you !

The location is excellent as it is close to the Ocean, Walmart, and restaurants nearby. The pool area looked clean. The view from the balcony was wonderful. The issue for me was the bathroom. I could not stay but I received a full refund. If there was a similar unit in the complex I will rent in the future for sure.

Came to Galveston with the family and ended up staying an extra night we had so much fun and enjoyed the escape. We’re a family of six, with four children from 7-16. And this location was exactly what I had hoped it would be. All the kids had a bed of their own. They spent hours in the heated pool and took many trips across the street to put our toes in the sand. There were games provided in the unit, beach toys and dvds. Overall we’ve had a great stay and look forward to visiting again. Our only complaints were that the property manager was a little hard to get ahold of, the tv in the bedroom doesn’t work, there are plugs hanging out of the wall in the bedroom and the kitchen drawers are a little janky. Nothing we couldn’t over look, but just for reference. Highly recommend!

Nice little condo

This condo was very clean & cozy on the inside, however facility is in need of a facelift. Overall the unit was great for me & my daughter. I would suggest the owners replace the sliding glass door bc it’s quite old & you can hear everyone around the pool when inside the unit. The view was very nice.

No refund

Was told a refund would be sent to my card, waited about 5 days with no refund. Messaged them to get status, they said it would take 7-10 business days for refund. Waited till the 10th day with no refund and messaged them again. They then sent a copy of "refund policy" and stated "which refund do you think should be due as a result of this cancelation". I wanted info as to why they made me wait for a "refund" for 10 days to not issue one and they never communicated back. They ignored me after my response. I never booked with VRBO before, this was a first and I can say it will be the last after the way they handled this. Absolutely furious and disgusted by their service. I will be filing fraud through my bank

We are certainly sorry that the cancelation policy did not appear clear to this guest prior to making the reservation - however it is in our stated policies. 8/11 reservation made for 8/31-9/2. Cancelation policy as stated in VRBO listing is "Guest receives 100.00% (less $100.00 taxable cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 30 days before arrival; Guest receives 50.00% (less $100.00 taxable cancellation fee) if cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival; No refunds within 14 days of arrival." The 2nd payment was not made - only the first 1/2 so we could not issue a refund but the 2nd payment was not made. 8/14/2024 guest stated they wished to cancel their reservation - the reservation was cancelled, but as stated - 50% is nonrefundable unless canceled at least 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. The reservation was made within that 30 day cancelation policy. No refund was due as it was not paid. Again - we are sorry that the cancelation was unclear to this guest - though it is stated on the VRBO listing.

Nice place

Easy check in, quiet place, good space for my family (5yo, 3yo, infant). The pool is great for kids with the graded entry. Beach access right across the street with rentable chairs/umbrella option. The do have some great beech toys and a wagon type carrier to borrow, which was super helpful. There's only a mini fridge with freezer, so plan accordingly.

Great Place

We enjoyed our stay very much. Loved the view and very happy with the 2 couches in the living area. Along with the 4 chairs at the table we could all comfortably hang out and eat together. The members of my group said they would stay at this exact same place again. That's a first for this group. Really liked the toaster/ oven combo also . The only complaint I have is with the faculty itself. Because of the fence around the property with a code needed to open the gate getting all the stuff and the kids to the beach was hard. Also though I understand why we all hated wearing the pool armbands everywhere for the duration of our stay.
