This was, by far, the worst home that we have ever rented! It was filthy, spiders and spider webs present, full cans of garbage near the front door that smelled. We were all very disappointed!

It is an older home but perfect for our large group. The host was great but the VRBO app is glitchy.

We had a great time, we had a lighting issue and they came right out to take care it.

The house was comfortable for our stay in Sandusky.

Do not stay here! This is an old house remodeled across from an industrial warehouse. It was dangerous for small kids with no door to unfinished basement and multiple floor levels. It had bugs (even a bug zapper in the house), window air conditioning in upstairs bedrooms that had no blinds (only curtains that covered air vents) and broken blinds in kids room, downstairs no vents in bedroom and the downstairs central air did not work correctly (80 degrees in high heat at night). The countertop had crumbs, table sticky, and floors turn out feet black. They were responsive and left coffee and snacks with kids water bottles.

Apparently, the kids broke the blinds, but we did replace them at no charge to the guest. Our property is by the water, and we advise people that properties by the water tend to have more spiders, although we do have regular pest control to keep them in check. However, if spiders are an issue, we recommend more inland properties.

Great Family Getaway

There were 9 of us that stayed for the weekend. We went to Cedar Point 3 days in a row and it was so nice to come back to a house that we could all relax at! In my opinion its the only way to travel with family!!! Thank you very much!

We really enjoyed our stay at Cedar Chalet. The house had everything we needed for a large group. It was clean and comfortable with modern upgrades in a charming farmhouse. It was really close to the entertainment of the area. Plenty of parking space. Check in and check out were very easy. We had great communication with the owner. I would recommend this house to anyone!

Family Vacation

House was as advertised, we had 9 adults and 6 kids, there was plenty of room for everyone. Kids were able to play outside. We was there for Ohio Bike Week, there was plenty of parking for our truck, trailer and 3 cars

DONT STAY HERE!! Unfortunately this turned out to be the worst short-term rental my family and I have ever stayed in. The house wasn't professionally clean and it showed. The house had been taken over by bugs and was covered in spider webs inside and outside, underwear from someone eles was on top on the air mattress in a closet and used towels on the floor in a closet, hole in walls. To make the best of our situation we cleaned up and stayed. Later those seem to be small issues because 10 hours into our stay the kids heard loud gargling coming from the 1st floor bathroom. When I opened the door the toilet had overflowed onto the floor and the tub was rising with mud water. So a house of 12 people including my 90 year old grandmother were forced to use 1 tiny bathroom on the 2nd fl 9 stairs up. This host has put lipstick on s moose. The host doordashed some bug spray and sent a women to spot clean the tub. Cleaning woman said it was a known and ongoing issue.

Unfortunately, this guest sabotaged our property and then posted their own pictures of it. After throwing all the paper towels and Cheerios in the toilet, they caused an awful mess, and we spent a lot of money sanitizing the home by a professional agency. We will not be having them back. Thank you to all the good guests who treat our home with respect and come back year after year.

During process, I cold not open any messages being sent in Vrbo mailbox. This was not a 5 star facility. However, it was very adequate to meet our needs of a family vacation and closeness to Cedar Point and the Islands in Lake Erie. All the amenities, cleanliness, and accomodations were very acceptable. It was never our intent to spend many hours in house. We needed sleeping and showering facilities only. Kitchen utensils were adequate for the few meals we needed to prepare. It is very desirable for its location.

Perfect Spot for Cedar Point

Part of our extended family got together for a fun day at Cedar Point. The house was in a perfect location to access the park, and it was also a super functional place for us to play cards, eat together, and visit. We would definitely stay again!
