Fantastic

House is so pretty. Only 1 "complaint" the shower is so tiny lol. House was clean and perfect location for us. Definitely will be staying again next year!

Very clean and nice house to stay in. Only thing I had a problem with is they have there is an outdoor space to hang out. … as someone. Who stays in a lot of air b&b. I was expecting a seating area in back for me and my friends to hang out ….but everything else was great ….:

Harbor Stay

The stay was about as accurate as the listing had said. My only complaint was the upstairs was so very hot and only one room had an AC in it. House was clean, close to some bars, and in a quiet area.

Great Stay

Our family, along with grandparents, stayed here and had an excellent stay. Bedroom on the first floor was helpful for our grandparents. The whole house is beautiful inside. We often stay at homes instead of hotels so we can prepare foods that accommodate our many dietary restrictions. The kitchen was adequately stocked with what we needed to fix meals. When we're in the area again, we will definitely book here!

Plenty of room for 4 fisherman

Clean place...no real place to relax outside, but inside had 4 nice sized bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Nice kithen/dining/living room space. 1/2 bath was unique as rear entrance came right into the bathroom. Parking is available behind the house.

The house was near and clean, with the exception of some spider/cobwebs in the doorways. It was advertised as a 2 bathroom, but it was actually only 1.5. The shower was upstairs, which makes it difficult for guests who have mobility issues. The door from which you entered the house went directly into the half-bath before entering the kitchen, which was very weird. There was confusion with the entry code to access the keys. The email we received was not the correct code. There were no instructions on how to work the key box either. The host had to come out to open the door for us. The only AC upstairs was in one bedroom, making the upstairs smell very musty. Luckily, we had some air freshener with us. Two of the three lightbulbs were out in the bathroom vanity, making it difficult to see.

Walleye trip

Reasonably priced, easy access to marina. Short walks to beach area and some food. Crow's nest was decent to eat.

Great place for a one nite stayover

My family and I came up to Ashtabula for a one nite stay over to do the wineries for my daughter’s 21st birthday. The house was great for what we needed it for. The host were very accommodating to us and was very quick on responding to questions that we had. I would stay here again if we plan on another trip to the area

Girls trip weekend!

Came for a girls weekend by Geneva on the lake. Everything was very clean (was a little stuffy upstairs) it was good for a few days wouldn’t stay for 3 days or longer. Unfortunately, a lot of the shops were closed.. It was great for wine tasting. Overall, 8/10 trip! Lots of memories made!

Nice accommodations

I had to travel to Ashtabula for an extended stay and feel lucky I was able to find this nice home for my trip. The place easily accommodated 5 adults and 3 small children. Everything on the description was as advertised. The owner was responsive and ensured we had what we needed. Thank you.

Too hot upstairs, strong odor, cigarette smoke

House was very clean to the eye, but as soon as we walked in, could tell that someone had been smoking cigarettes. House was listed as non smoking. Very strong cleaning products were used to cover up the smoke smell. Smell was so strong, it made us nauseous. Immediately alerted owner who asked if we’d still be staying or wanted to leave. Since there was no vacancy anywhere w/in 30 miles and we had just arrived that evening after an 8 hour drive, we felt stuck. Went to Walmart to buy fans to try to air out smell. Brought fans back and that’s when we realized none of the windows on the ground floor were able to be opened to air the house out. True fire hazard but it was close to 10pm at this point. Tried to open windows upstairs, but realized all windows were set at ground level (if you opened the window to let in air, you could literally walk off the 2nd floor and fall to the ground below - I had my son with me, so not safe). No AC in the upstairs (house was listed as having AC but it was on the first floor only) and we couldn’t open the windows due to issues listed plus no screens. Small plug in fans were offered in each upstairs bedroom, so owner clearly knew they had an upstairs AC issue. Left first thing the next morning bc my son’s asthma flared due to excessive heat, cleaning product chemical smell and smoke. Owner has the potential for a nice home but the overpowering chemical/smoke smell and excessive heat made the home impossible to stay at. VRBO was no help bc I left the property before contacting them (I didn’t know this rule - thought I was supposed to contact the owner first - lesson learned). Host charged me for first night plus fees but did refund my remaining two nights. Would not give me full refund bc they claimed they went to the house after we left and did not smell smoke (firmly disagree). This was after I had provided photo evidence of multiple cigarette butts that had been tossed in the outside trash can (which was located right by the screen door into the house). Very possible/likely that someone smoked outside before we got there and the cigarette smell permeated house through the screen door. Still no excuse for the chemical cover up. Wound up renting through another site but closest place I could find was over 1/2hr away.

Walnut Beach

Although the home is very close to other houses and there is not much of a yard, this property was very conveniently located a short block from the grocery store and laundry... the beach was a little too far to walk with the little ones, but a very short drive and free parking.

Great stay!

We had a great long weekend staying in this house! It was very very clean which I especially appreciate because we brought our month old baby with us! The rooms were beautiful and spacious! The property provided kitchen supplies, towels, and wash rags which was very helpful after a day at the beach. The property owner was very nice and responded to messages within very resonance time frames! We will definitely be back for another family trip!

Very cute, newly decorated home.

We had a great time. The house was very clean and had everything you needed. I didn't have to communicate much with the property manager as it was a smooth booking.

There are so many beautiful places to go and enjoy the natural beauties of the small town. My husband and I work and are raising a family. This is a beautiful old home that has been very well maintained. The property was recently updated while still keeping the home's character and original features. This home is spacious with four large rooms and 1 full bath and one half bath. We love this property because of its size, location and modern twist on a 100 year old home!

This property is located in a prime located of the Ashtabula Historical Harbor. Ashtabula is home to Lake Erie beaches and so many naturally beautiful places. Ashtabula has a lot of history being part of the underground railroad. The boating marina is located right down the road. The harbor has little shops, and restaurants with many excellent chefs! There are also water sport rentals by the marina that allows families to get out on the water without having a boat!
