Great vacation property!

Our family of 5 (mom and dad, 2 adult kids and grandma) had a terrific experience at this property. Everything was very clean, and all of the amenities you could ever want. Location was perfect - right on the water with fantastic deck. It's about an hour south of Boston and 90 min- 2 hours from Cape Cod, which was perfect for us so we could do day trips to both locations.

Family vacation

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property! The house is perfect and exactly as described We have been visiting Scituate for a long time and have rented many houses - this was our favorite!! We had plenty of room(Beds very comfortable) and the house is very well stockedA big plus- paddle boards and kayaks which can be used right in front of the house! Beach is perfect!!! Can’t say enough- we will be back Thanks

Everything about the property was as advertised or better. The house was very clean and stocked with everything we could possibly need. There were kayaks, paddleboards, many chairs, and umbrellas. The host responded to my messages very quickly. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Can’t wait to go back!

The house was great! The location is perfect! Great amount of parking for up to 2 families. The house is fully equipped with towels, linens as well as the kitchen with supplies. It is walking distance to the harbor as well as beachfront. We can’t wait to book again for next year.!

Great house and experience

The house is well stocked, clean and as advertised. The location is great with an awesome view from the deck. We had two families with kids and the house is comfortable to share as a group. Love scituate and this property.

Miss the view!

We had a fabulous week at Karen's property. The house is very well supplied with many bath and beach towels and paper products. The layout is great and we really enjoyed the front balcony overlooking the water where we spent many hours. We also loved the paddle boards and kayaks, so easy and fun to use in the calm water. We would go back anytime! Plenty of parking and easy access to town. Plus walking to the light house. A great find!

Family reunion

We were very pleased with this house. The location was perfect for fishing and coastline explorations at high and low tides. The stairway off the deck to the beach is ideal. This beach house is beautifully accommodated with all the comforts of home with the added beauty of sunrises and sunsets. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, it was almost like our own home, everything is provided. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the third floor was ideal for our kids. The towels and beach towels are plentiful and the beach toys are great. Comfy blankets for the deck at sunrise and sunset are awesome! This is a beautiful beach home, we look forward to our return trip!

One in a Million

The view...the place...put a smile on our faces everyday for 7 days! The description of the house was accurate, but it is even more impressionable when you stay there. Falling asleep in the master bedroom on the king size bed, while listening to the waves from the Atlantic Ocean was priceless. The home is well, well equipped from the kitchen to the bathroom with all the basic needs and then some. The view was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING...beach, ocean, boats, skyline! The location of the house is located such that even during high tide, there was still some beach to enjoy. What a peaceful, beautiful home and location. Our family enjoyed every single moment! Communicating with the host was nice and easy.

Thank you so much Karen for a truly lovely and memorable stay!This is an amazing house - well located on the beach as pictured. We were 3 families and it was spacious enough for all of us. The beachfront location was a real plus, and we fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. The beach was amazing for most of the week, although there was some seaweed towards the tail end of our trip. We really appreciated and used the outdoor shower, which was equipped with shampoo and conditioner. Easy walking distance to town (20 mins), the lighthouse (10-15 min), safe area for jogging and biking.The house has everything - kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, 2 usable bikes. The kitchen truly has everything you need, and was the best equipped of any house we have ever stayed at. We really appreciated the plethora of beach towels. There was also a high chair and crib (which we did not use). The house was spotless on arrival.Karen was a wonderful host, easy to reach and accomodating. I highly recommend this house. Thank you for a restful and memorable vacation!

This is an amazing home in lovely Scituate. The home was spacious, comfortable, clean, very well stocked and kid friendly. There were many beach toys and supplies. The kitchen had an everything we needed for dishes. There were tons of towels (both beach and bath). The wrap around deck was amazing - we ate almost all meals outside with plenty of room! The outdoor shower was a nice added treat as well. The space under the deck was fun for kids to play in the sand as well and the chair swings and hammock were very relaxing. We had a four generation family vacation and it was perfect for everyone. Karen was an amazing host - we felt very welcomed and she quickly answered questions. There is a small convenience store across the road and bigger shopping one 10 minutes away. I would highly recommend this property!

There was a smoke odor in the master bedroom that was overwhelming (despite the air purifier) and noticeable elsewhere. It had seeped into the mattress and bedding and required us to wash all our clothing upon return. Communication with the owner was a problem. The dishwasher broke on our second day, but the process of attempting to fix and/or replace the dishwasher took seven days and disrupted our two week holiday. Early into our first phone conversation, the owner’s initial response was “I f___ hate unions.” Doors did not close properly, and evening or early morning bathroom trips woke others. The view is wonderful, right on the water and as described. The house sleeps 13 people and the kitchen is well outfitted. Still, we would not have booked this stay if we had known the conditions. When we raised concerns, the owner offered us a 4.5% refund, which we found insulting. We would not recommend staying here.

Our goal was to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, which unfortunately required multiple service visits over several days before a full replacement could be completed. We understand this disruption impacted your holiday. We offered a $750 refund as a gesture of goodwill for the appliance disruption, and we regret that it felt insufficient. We take property cleanliness seriously. While the master bedroom odor was mentioned during your stay, we did not realize the full extent of your discomfort until reading this review. In response to the smoking violation of a prior guest we had treated the room to ensure freshness. After your stay we repeated the treatment for future guests. We strive for professional communication and apologize if any part of our conversation felt dismissive. We appreciate your compliments on our waterfront views and well-equipped kitchen, and we will use your feedback to improve our guest experience.

Amazing house - perfect location!!

We were a bit reluctant to book this property since it was so new, and there were no reviews yet, but I'm so glad we did. The pictures online do not do the house justice - it is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are all well sized, the king room with the balcony is amazing, and the third floor room for the kids was perfect. The views are stunning and the large wrap around deck with all of the deck furniture is the perfect place to relax. There is nothing Karen hasn't thought of - from a high chair, to a crib, to toddler utensils and sippy cups, and the toys for the kids were great as well. My 16 month old niece, who wasn't a fan of the ocean, loved the little pool Karen provided. The older kids (and some of the adults) enjoyed the paddleboards and kayaks. There is such an abundance of towels, beach towels and linens, which aren't always included in rental properties. There is also a washer and dryer which helped us keep up with laundry throughout the week. The house is conveniently located across the street from a General Store with ice cream, alcohol, and necessities like milk, bread, etc. The kids in our family loved going over to the store daily to get a sweet treat. At night we enjoyed a nice bonfire while listening to the waves. I could go on and on about how great this house was! Karen was so responsive and helpful as well - a super host for sure!! We would return to this house in a heartbeat!!
