The communication & check in was good. The location is very nice, with Sunset Lake right in the backyard. The kayaks & paddle boat were in working condition & there were oars & lifejackets. The house needs major TLC. It looks clean but when you actually stay there for several nights, you realize how desperately it needs a deep clean. The tub was dirty with hair in it, the overhead fans have about 2 years worth of dust on the blades. Couch has a wire sticking out which scratched us. We had 3 kids under the age of 6 & it was not baby or kid proof. The "guest house" kitchenette had 1 solitary wine glass & it was dirty with liquid residue & had a bug in it. No plates, no other drinkware, only 1 fork & 1 spoon thrown haphazardly in a drawer. The top bunk is missing several slats which caused the mattress to fall thru. The beds were comfortable but one of them was made with a flat sheet instead of fitted so we woke up in a tangle of sheets. The air hockey table wobbles back & forth, the Foos Ball table blocks the entry way & there is not enough room for where they have the ping pong table to play a game. Adequate number of bath towels but no wash cloths & only 1 hand towel. No kitchen towels, not enough paper towels. When we got there, the outdoor trash cans had been pillaged by an animal. Cleaning crew should have cleaned it up prior to our arrival (we paid 79 for early check in). It has great potential but really needs better management & oversight.
