Make wonderful memories at The Blue Pelican! You'll love the unique Octagon design with a center skylight, and balconies all around to take in the peaceful panoramic views of the ocean. Inside is decorated in fun, beachy decor & features a large kitchen with granite island and stainless appliances for easy group meals. Walk a short .2 miles to the private beach. Beach gear available for your use.

The space
Walk in the entry and up the stairs to the main floor. The neighborhood is very quiet and there there are no homes behind this house.

The kitchen opens to the living room with windows all around for tons of natural light. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and is outfitted with all you need to prepare meals.

The living room is cozy and comfortable with a smart tv and access to the wrap around deck. The wrap around deck has plenty of places to sit and relax, including Adirondack gliders & chairs, and a dining table. The deck also has a fire pan for outdoor cooking.

A full bathroom and a laundry room are also on the main floor.

The second floor is open in the middle to the skylight and the main floor. It features four bedrooms spaced out around the outside of the octagon. Each bedroom has a king size bed, a smart tv, a closet and a walk-out balcony. The primary bedroom ensuite has a full bath and spacious closets. One of the guest bedrooms also includes a twin size trundle bed to accommodate two guests. There is a shared full bathroom.

The spacious backyard is fully fenced and landscaped.

The garage includes boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, beach carts.

I can't express how much we enjoyed this beach house! It had everything we needed and was perfectly able to accommodate not just the 3 adults, but also the 7 kids with us! It had exceptional views of the beach, and the walk down to it was short and sweet. 100% would recommend and would stay again in the future.

Blue Pelican was great!

We loved this beautiful home! It was walking distance to the private beach, had all the things we needed in the kitchen, beautifully decorated, nicely laid out. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. It was nice and neat and clean and very quiet. We had a wonderful family vacay!

Nice property - needs a little attention

Nice home and good location. Ample space for multiple vehicles in the very long driveway. Lots of provided items to get you going, or through the entire stay (toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent). Well stocked kitchen - pots, pans, utensils. Beds were very comfortable. Very nice to have a provided golf cart, although there is nowhere to park it when you get to the beach, so that was a little inconvenient. Beds were VERY comfortable and linens were nice and soft. There were a lot of “little” things that need attention though. List was provided to property manager, so hopefully it will be addressed. Biggest items were that only 2 eyes on the stovetop work and in a couple of the bedrooms you have to stand on the bed or a chair to work the light and/or fans. If you’re older, or shorter, this can be a pretty big problem. Guest bathroom had a pretty good leak at the sink hot water faucet so it had been turned off completely. We turned it back on and were able to deal with it for our stay. Property management was very responsive and easy to deal with.

There were dead roaches everywhere including in the bed. There were roach droppings everywhere. The house was not clean. The golf cart did not work.

Perfect Beach House

Beautiful home with easy access to a private beach! Christy was a wonderful host. Very quick to respond, friendly and accommodating! Friendly neighbors in a quiet neighborhood. Away from the noise of the other beaches, but a short drive to all the action. The golf cart and beach chairs/umbrella were a great bonus. We will definitely book again.

Ocean Views galore!

What a great stay. Ocean views all around, wrap around porch was perfect for fresh ocean air and catching sunsets, plenty of space for our family (with rooms to spare) and a large and charming fenced yard for our beach-loving pup. Was quiet and we walked to the beach everyday. Kids loved the golf cart, husband probably liked it most. Just a really great set up for a beach getaway. Definitely recommend!

Fabulous Stay

Property was clean, well-appointed, great yard, proxcimuty to beach was awesome, communication was easy and friendly and close to shopping and restaurants. Would certainly stay there again!

Comfortable House in a Perfect Location

This property was in a perfect location and very comfortable for my family of 10, during our visit to Galveston this July. In particular, all the beach amenities were a huge bonus, making it so much easier to travel a bit lighter. We would definitely stay here again.

Close to the beach

This was a good location overall to the beach. Just a short walk. The house was not as big as it appeared on the website, but roomy enough for the 4 families. There were a few maintenance issues, but overall a comfortable place to stay. Be sure to bring everything you need for cooking except for pots and pans. Plenty of dishes, but no oil, condiments, ect. Dollar General is directly across the street. Neighbor to the right is very friendly and helpful, the neighbor to the left, not so much. The police were called on us for having more than 4 cars in the driveway, which no one including the neighbor or the host, Christy, said they knew nothing about any ordinance or agreement.

Family vacation

The house was a perfect location for us. Private beach was so nice and the golf cart was a fantastic asset to have use of. Beds were comfortable. We only cooked breakfast while there but kitchen is very nice and well stocked with whatever you would need. There were beach chairs and sand toys in the garage. An outdoor shower to use before entering the house. Lots of seating around the deck of the house. We were pleased with our stay. There is a Dollar Tree right across from the entrance of the addition for any supplies you might need. It’s about 15 minutes to the Seawall which isn’t far and allows your stay to be away from the hustle all the time. The house is 4 bedrooms upstairs and 2 full bathrooms upstairs and one full bathroom downstairs

Great house, awesome location

The entire family enjoyed staying at the Blue Pelican. If you want some peace and quiet, the us is the place 15-20 minute drive to Galveston, but you are away from all the noise. The beach is a convenient 5 minute walk and the property has everything you could need for the beach. The house has all the amenities. So relaxing sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and watching the waves. Rooms are spacious, kitchen is well equipped with cookware and refrigerators upstairs and downstairs allow plenty of room for whatever you need to keep cold. The golf cart is a really nice added touch Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend with the family!!!

Spring vacation on the beach

Just a little bit of issues with the house when we got there. Needs a little maintenance to make a better. Had to do a little cleaning and pick up. The house is really neat being an octagon. It kinda felt like I was going in circle going to floor, to floor, LOL. Beautiful view and being on the deck was nice. A/C, wash machine works great. Beds was cozy, rooms are nice, missing remote on one TV. Plenty of dishes for everyone. Host got back to me very quickly but didn't answer all my question. Wish they had curtains in all the bedrooms so I could sleep longer in the morning. Golf cart, chairs, and beach stuff came in handy to go to the beach. Didn't had to travel very far to get into the town. Quiet neighborhood. Family enjoyed staying at the house and wanted to stay longer. Came back home with 6 inches of snow :-(

Great house!

Despite the cold weather we had a wonderful family vacation at The Blue Pelican! Great setup for large family gatherings. The proximity to the beach and views from the house were awesome. We had everything we needed and will return in the future.

Blue Pelican

Staying at the Blue Pelican was perfect. Once a year I come to Galveston to visit my son. I have stayed at a different VRBO each time searching for the perfect combination of location plus coziness of house. The Blue Pelican sits on the top of my list. Host is very responsive as well.

Great House

We really enjoyed staying at this house. We loved the location and the golf cart was great to get all the gear to and from the beach. The house was clean and everything worked well. Beds are comfortable. Christy is really easy to talk with if yiu have any concerns. We had such a great time we were going to book again over Thanksgiving if it wasn't already booked.

So beautiful and comfortable

This property was amazing. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture with seating for everyone. 3 full bathrooms and 4 very large bedrooms. The beds were king size and very comfortable. There is also a twin bed in one of the bedrooms along with the king size bed. There is lots of outdoor seating on the main deck off of the living room area. There is seating for 10 at the dining table and kitchen bar combined. The golf cart was a great added bonus and there were lots of beach chairs to take back and forth to the beach. This property is perfect for a family reunion or girls/boys/couples trip. It would be great as well for well behaved children. The owner returns texts almost immediately and was very easy to communicate with. Would absolutely stay here again! Thank you Christi for sharing your beautiful home.

As soon as I saw the pictures of this property, I fell in love. The neighborhood is one of the best on the island and the lot is so private with unobstructed views, and so close to the beach! The octagon shape and atrium/skylight makes it unique and fun. We are so happy to have this peaceful escape from busy life.

While it only takes 5 minutes to walk to the private beach, the golf cart comes in handy if anyone needs some extra assistance getting around. And the wrap around porch on two levels provide wonderful views of the ocean from each room and bedroom.
