The Charleston of Milton Inn is located in the heart of Milton's Historic District. Within walking distance to all downtown shops, restaurants, Dogfish Head Brewery, Milton Theater, Library, Waterfront Parks, "etc.".
7 Miles to Broadkill Beach.

Our guest suits are located on the second floor. Each feature a King size bed, private EN suite bath, private porch, and kitchenette.

The King Charles Suite
Our very spacious accommodations provide individual climate controls, ceiling fans, kitchenette, breakfast / workspace. We have super high-speed Wi-Fi 400 Mbps as well as wired internet connection via an Ethernet cable at the breakfast / workspace. The smart TVs are equipped with 4K Dolby Vision, UHD, free Netflix, and Prime Video included. TVs are also hard wired to the internet (No Buffering)

The King Bed
Your restful sleep begins with the Westin Heavenly Bed Experience. Enjoy 10 layers of pure comfort on your custom pillow top mattress. Layered with 100 % Egyptian cotton pressed sheets, plush pillows, and imported blankets from Portugal, of seasonal weight. Finished with a King Charles Matelassé Coverlet. Linens and towels cleaned with Arm & Hammer Free and Clear / Sensitive Skin no dyes or perfume.

Special Requests Encouraged.

Guests have access to the main porch, foyer, the gardens, and their own guest Suite with private porches.
You will have your own kitchenette fully equipped with micro, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker.

Fantastic week in Milton DE

We have stayed in many places around the world - from highway motels to high end hotels and resorts. The Charleston of Milton Inn is possibly the nicest, most comfortable and well appointed place we have ever stayed. Beautiful rooms, gardens and art work to view while here. Also a quick walk to downtown Milton shops and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Luxurious accommodation

The King Charles Suite was very well appointed with every need. The sitting areas and deck were extremely welcoming and comfortable. The bathroom was super spacious. The kitchenette had everything we could ask for or use. The deck was absolutely relaxing and quiet. The owners/hosts knocked it out of the park with the decoration and furniture….it is classy and refined while absolutely comfortable.

Perfectly appointed Southern Charm

Attached to the owners' home, our suite was super comfortable, clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with antiques and the owner's artwork. Situated walking-distance to the charming downtown of Milton which offers dining, antiquing, live theater, hiking trails, etc. this home offered us a very satisfying getaway.

Immaculate home and attentive host!

We loved loved loved our stay in this stunning home. We stayed in the King Charles suite, which was equipped with everything we needed. The private balcony was the perfect spot to sip wine at the end of a long day. The sheets were so nice and comfortable. We look forward to staying here again!

The Charleston of Milton Inn

We were delighted to stay at The Charleston of Milton Inn. It is a beautifully appointed gem with close proximity to all the area offers. It was a pleasure meeting our host, Richard, who thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We could tell immediately that a lot of passion went into creating the inn and developing the incredible gardens, which we enjoyed each morning while sipping hot tea from our own balcony. It was a relaxing and refreshing trip. Just what we needed. Thank you, Richard, for an outstanding experience!

The home is beautiful. Richard had every accommodation you could think of. We felt very special and the design of the home was perfect for our getaway. Totally worth your time, money, and stay.

I don't even know where I can start but Richard does an awesome job for your stay. Everything that he list in the description for this listing is true. The inn has easy access to not 1 but 3 beaches all within 15 - 35 minutes of each other. There is a great grocery outlet just down the road from the inn where you can shop for anything you need while your on vacation. There are multiple food locations within walking distance like home made ice cream shops and places to get a great dinner at. Lots of things you can do while if your on vacation in Delaware and this inn is in such a great location from everything. Richard is very friendly man as he offers any sort of help to make your stay more enjoyable. The room was as clean as it can be with added additions like multiple stream platforms for the tv and a VERY CLEAN BATHROOM, which is always pleasing for visitors. Me and my girlfriend are considering going back to Delaware and would most definitely come back here. What more can I say, Richard does a great job as a host, the room is beautiful, and the location is even better. We had such a good time here and if your thinking about renting this room for a get away, do it! Totally worth your time, money, and stay! Thanks again, Edward

Extraordinary! Super Clean, Beautiful place!

This is an absolutely amazing place! My Husband and I rent quite often to get away for long weekends and vacations. We have see many places and have met many owners. This I must see, must stay place. The owners are top notch, very accommodating and ready to make your stay enjoyable. They recently built this home that is just so beautiful and full of Southern Charm, you will not be able to stop looking at the architecture of how every detail was so thought out and made perfect. It gives you a warm feeing of comfort to experience. The place is spotless, roomy and they supply you with everything you need for your stay. Big Tile Bathrooms, Big Comfortable Beds, Large Balconies and a Perfect Sized Kitchen that supplies you with everything you need to make you feel at home. They really have thought of everything, and I mean everything, for a relaxing unforgettable stay . Richard was an amazing host, very intelligent, funny and wants to make your stay perfect. He is super friendly and has a great personality and so much charm. ( He is an amazing artist as well, check out the paintings...this is such a great place). You almost feel like you have gone back in time, with the Deep South Mansion, the Beautiful Yard and Garden, and of course the Hospitaly.....so relaxing and genuine. You will be missing out if you don't stay here and enjoy this place and the owners. It is a one-of- a- kind experience!!! We will be back every time we go to this area! My Husband and I Love....Love....Love...this place! Enjoy it, you deserve it. Oh, and the little town is really cool too. the people are really friendly. only a few miles to Rehoboth Beach. The amount of care, thoughtfulness and cleanliness Richard has put into the Charleston Inn is exceptional. The whole inn smelled amazing, clean, and spacious. The added bonus is the kitchenette, laundry room, enjoyed our time sitting on the private bedroom porch hearing the birds chirping and enjoying the beautiful weather. The hosts gave us privacy but were also always available if you needed anything or had questions. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and only 20min away from the beaches. This is a must stay when visiting this area and would definitely be back again when visiting Delaware. The bathroom is so spacious and one of the best. Richard has put so much love into his inn and is friendly and definitely a pleasant host. He makes you feel at home.

There isn’t enough space here for me to write all of the wonderful things about this stay. Richard is fantastic! His attention to detail is unmatched! The size of the rooms, the comfort, bedding, linens, gardens, decor, kitchenette. I can’t say enough. Lovely accommodations

The suite was beautiful and on a quiet street. Everything you could need. Milton is a quaint little walkable town away from the noise and crowds. Perfect for a quiet stay yet only a quick drive to beaches and shopping. Richard, the host, is welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended.

Weekend getaway

My daughter and I were in Lewes for the weekend and Milton was an easy drive to Lewes and into Rehoboth away from all the traffic. You are welcomed into the foyer with soft music and an aromatic relaxing spa like feel. The King Suite was amazing with all the amenities we needed. Special care was taken to prepare our room for a luxury experience including quality bedding with ironed sheets. We had a fantastic porch overlooking the beautiful gardens.Richard welcomed us and gave us a tour of the property. We enjoyed all the personal touches and his artwork throughout the spaces. Communication was easy with VRBO and texts.Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.

Our Milton visit

We LOVE the Charleston of Milton Inn. It is beautiful and comfortable and Richard is a wonderful host! We have stayed here twice and both stays have been perfect! The suite is beautiful and the gardens are lovely. And Milton is a sweet little town with lots to do, and close to the beach.

Third time’s a charm!

This was our third year staying at the Charleston in Milton, and exactly like our previous two times, our stay was PERFECT! Accommodations are lovely and very clean. The private porch overlooking the beautiful garden is prefect for our morning coffee and evening cocktail. The short walk Into town to good dining is perfect after a long day at the beach.
