The house is older but beautiful furniture. More of a classic home style than a beach house. Comfortable beds and great kitchen. Pool is excellent! Bathrooms updated. There is a public access cut through in the cul de sac that makes beach walk easy!

Although pet-friendly, dogs are not allowed in the pool but you don’t learn this until after you make the reservation. We did end up bringing one dog because he is handicapped and can’t get in the pool. He is also a service dog for my friend who has a heart condition yet we still had to pay the 250 pet deposit which I was told isn’t chargeable for service animals.House was clean, convenient to the activities we had planned. The upstairs a/c unit was not very cooling but luckily the one on the first floor worked perfectly.

Dirty, extremely outdated, not prepared for our stay, and some type of bug activity in the walls. Not satisfied with home and the company does nothing to accommodate their guests nor make yhe situation better. :(

needs some items fixed. All storm doors have broken latches. Doors slam during windy times. Hand rails on porch steps are broken. Swing on front entrance showed that it fallen prior to my visit . The right side of swing had part of the ceiling removed and was not painted. Fell while my two granddaughters were swinging. No one was hurt but scared. Air vent cover in the bedroom down stairs was hanging over one of the chairs when we checked in. That night the vent fell into the seat of the chair. Thankfully, no one was in the chair when it fell.

Picturesque locationand exterior. The owners need to step up in keeping this house up to standards, or take it off the rental market. The photos that are in the ad are very old- much of what attracted me to rent it was not there when we arrived. Case in point- the pool was a major part of what drew me to want to stay there; yet the structure or cabana that was pictured poolside was not there. Many things inside the house were busted or broken.

Terrific Week of a day at the beach and relaxing evening at the pool

This was our first time to IOP and renting a private home. We loved the home and everything about it. We were close enough to the beach to walk in about 5-10 minutes. We usually rode in the golf cart. The beach path was super convenient with only one busy street to cross. The beach was never crowded at the 4th street access, although our weather was perfect. The home felt secluded with the private fenced in yard. There was some close by construction noise during the day, but it never bothered us. The home was beautiful. It had some of the original charm of an older home but was updated where needed. We really loved the enclosed area downstairs by the pool with the fridge and outdoor shower. I also took a couple extra showers in the rain head shower. It was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked. This was one of our favorite vacations and we hope to return soon! It is hard to please a teen, preteen, and grandparents but I believe we managed!

Great pool!

The home was located in a quiet neighborhood, easy walk to a nice and family friendly beach. Did have to cross a busier road (no crosswalk) to get to beach, very few drivers were courteous of pedestrian traffic. Manager was very attentive and addressed our questions and concerns. The porch swing fell the second evening and two bedroom doors didn’t latch. They came right away to repair. Plenty of fridge space! The kitchen was not set up for a large group. The oven is small and lower dishwasher did not work well. Beds were comfortable but one king is two full-size beds together. No dresser space. The closets had shelves, but some were pretty dirty. Nice outside space. Plenty of outdoor seating on decks and front porch. The pool was great and we appreciated the grill. The deck had loose rails and pineapple decorations, which were unsafe for the small children.

Mediocre

Not the best VRBO experience for us. There were some pros: location is good; plenty of space; nice kitchen fully stocked; upstairs and downstairs fridges was nice. Now the cons: *Got there after four and code to open the door would not work and there was a bag of dirty linens in the middle of the driveway. Eventually Chad (maintenance man) showed up and let us in). *Part of the main description of house (a lift) was inoperative and falling apart and was a safety hazard. The lift had been one of our selling points because of my surgically-repaired knees that struggle with step. *The hot water in the large, garden tub upstairs with master suite did not work. We reported in on Sunday. One man came to look at it on Monday but was clueless. Chad finally came on Wednesday night (5 days into our trip) at 6:00 pm and replaced the water heater, working in the back yard right in the midst of where we were attempting to entertain guests. Basically, our daughter, son-in-law, and grandaughter only got to use one of the main features on the house for 2 days of our entire week. *TV's were functional, but incredibly difficult to figure out how to use, and there were no instructions anywhere. *In several of the photos of the property, a large awning was shown covering one end of the pool deck. Drawn to that because of our infant grandchild. It was no longer up, but instead was laying in front of the house, in a heap of junk, waiting to be picked up by garbage service.

Hi Gary - I'm so sorry to hear that you were not pleased with the home. The owners do occupy the home for the majority of the year, and it is only rented in the summer. The lock was working when our inspector checked the home but unfortunately the batteries had to be replaced as it had died in the few hours before your arrival. We have removed advertisement of the chair lift because the owner does not wish to have it in the listing, so while there, it is not operational. There are two hot water heaters for the home and we did have to replace the one for that bathroom during your stay. We do apologize it wasn't caught before but the previous guests had not mentioned it whatsoever. The gazebo was damaged in a storm so we did have to disassemble and remove it from the backyard prior to your arrival. We do apologize for these inconveniences you experienced during your stay.

We really enjoyed having a private pool and being so close to the beach. House is as expected in the pictures, however, kitchen could use a deep clean. Half of the buttons on the microwave did not work, had to hit add 30 seconds to get to desired time. The freezer drawer would get stuck and you had to lift it each time to put it back in place to be able to close it. House needs some general maintenance around the property. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms were clean. Nothing majorly wrong to not stay at the property again. House is about 25 minutes from The Shipyard baseball fields, we were in town for a tournament. Having an outdoor shower was amazing to rinse off coming from the beach and the extra fridge downstairs was nice to have cold drinks by the pool.
