Built in 1942, Holly Hill Chalet blends historic mountain character with modern comforts, surrounded by towering Sequoias, Pines, Spruces, and centuries-old Oaks.

Your space is completely private. Your host lives in a separate section of the chalet behind locked connecting doors and maintains a low profile, giving guests privacy while remaining nearby if needed.

KITCHENETTE & OUTDOOR DINING

The kitchenette is designed for light food preparation, drinks, and leisurely morning coffee. Amenities include a Nespresso coffee maker with pods, SMEG electric kettle and toaster, microwave, mini-fridge, French press, cocktail shaker, and tea selection.

A BBQ grill is available on the private patio for relaxed outdoor dining with a view.

Anita goes above and beyond! Highly recommend this location for anyone looking to do a mini getaway. While it rain during my time, Anita still made it very nice and cozy. Looking forward to coming back some day!

Perfect Getaway

Anita was an amazing host. She provided accommodations for my girlfriend and I as it was our anniversary. It was a beautiful suite with a jaw dropping view. Most definitely would stay there again!

Friend wedding trip

Such a cute comfy space to stay in a beautiful setting. Everything was as pictured but was even better in person. Check in and check out process was smooth and easy. Watching the sunset, sunrise and clouds move through the valley from the garden was amazing!

Even better than advertised!

I thoroughly enjoyed my getaway to this cozy property with fantastic views. The owners were great and made things easy. Also had nice small touches like bathrobes and nice glassware. The place seems remote, but is actually close to many activities and stores - a great combination. Would love to go back!

Quick Getaway

Very tranquil spot, incredible views, property was as described, no issues. You could sit for hours with a glass of wine and just enjoy the views, Blue Jay's, Squirrels, etc. Close to everything in Crestline and just a 17 minute jaunt to Lake Arrowhead Village if you want something bigger. Anita is a great host, everything is taken care of. TY

Cozy Cabin in the Clouds

Holly Hill Chalet is even more inviting than the pics show. We were in the area looking at properties because we are planning to relocate to Crestline/Arrowhead. I wish we had more time to spend at the chalet instead of driving around because it's a perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of the surroundings. Weather permitting, I highly recommend spending time on the deck watching the wildlife and looking out at the view. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

Very romantic

The property sits on top of the world with a spectacular view of the valley. The room is spacious cozy and very well designed. Love the black and white industrial theme that is eclectic. Anita was superb in her communication and always keeping us updated on weather conditions. Will definitely come back.

Celebration of our engagement

My fiancé and I came up the mountain to celebrate our love in a quiet secluded place, and Holly Hill was beyond perfect for us. The suite is attached to the main house, and you would never know it once you're situated. The entire suite is surrounded by a very private deck that you share with blue jays and hummingbirds. The night views off the mountain down to the city below are awe-inspiring. The in-room amenities are very stylish and modern, and the bed is like sleeping on a cloud. Visitors have access to the entire 1+ acre of grounds that include unbeatable vistas and numerous secluded seating areas. Location is very easy to get to and from, and Lake Gregory and Arrowhead are so close by. Holly Hill is ideal for a romantic getaway when you and your love need one!

The property is beautiful. The view is absolutely spectacular. The room is lovely and comfortable with extras.Make sure to watch your step when you first walk in. And the black flooring from the area where the bed is to where the sitting area is has a step as well...hard to see. I had to keep reminding myself not to trip. I only found one outlet in the room, but it did have several units so we were able to plug in our two phones and my watch. But if you have a lot of other stuff, you may want to contact the host.The host was very accommodating and communicative. I love that there's a video she sends to give you info on what to expect when you get there. It was so helpful.The whole area is fenced in, but there was an open area near the carport where our dog was able to get out. Watch your dog. If you're not steady on your feet, be really careful on the walk down to the seating area near the cliff. A walking stick came in really handy. But once there, it's just incredible. We got to watch hang-gliders make their way through the sky.Make sure to use the host's handy-dandy jar of peanuts to feed the Blue Jays. That was a highlight of the morning. Watching them, the finches, the squirrels, and the quail was a beautiful part of our visit.The drive into town isn't long and it's so charming. If you haven't been to Crestline before, make sure to use your GPS. There are a lot of forks in the road, lots of turns, and it could be easy to get a bit lost.

It really is a special spot, especially with the wildlife and those peaceful moments out on the property. I also appreciate your feedback. As a mountainside home, there are a few natural level changes both inside and outside, and we always encourage guests to take their time when arriving and exploring. We’ll also look at ways to make the step areas more visible. For future guests, there are plenty of outlets throughout the suite, including on both sides of the bed, along the main wall, and in the bathroom. A hotel room on a mountain top

This is a nice hotel room in the mountains. We were there and experienced a chilly, misty and wet drissle stay. I was remise as not have read the fine print on no stove, oven or sink in the room! So, prepare for doing dishes in the bathroom sink or you can kindly ask the host to do your dishes. Ugh. We came with food to cook and prepare, but alas our options were a BBQ in the windy cold rain. You are miles away from a stop by town with nearly nothing to offer in the way of food or entertainment. What we did do that was very memorable was Lake Arrowhead. Had the best time, paddle boat ride and fabulous food and shopping!! We highly recommend that. I would only recommend this lovely room in the summer when you will likely see what is I am sure a spectacular view and a great BBQ dinner. We missed all the actually beautiful aspects of this booking. Sorry.

Dear Dana, It was such a pleasure to meet you both. So sorry Holly Hill Chalet didn't fit your needs or expectations. I wanted to set the record straight a little since you are giving us our first not so perfect review out of 200 5 star reviews. Every season is great in the mountains but unfortunately you happened to arrive when we were having a weather system come through. In winter we have some of the clearest views and of course snow on occasion, the property gets sun all day and you can enjoy the garden any season. We try to make our guests experience special by complimentary wine and welcome messages for them and their pets but one thing we can't control is the weather unfortunately. As it clearly states in the listing we have a kitchenette and it does state if you want to cook then this is probably not the best listing for you. Kitchens are a dime a dozen but the view is one in a million. Guests usually like to use the barbecue and I'm more than happy to do dishes for guests if they need it done like I did for you. A lot of guests order in or go out to the many restaurants in the area. Regarding miles away from a town and entertainment that simply is not true. We are 5 minutes away from top town in Crestline as well as 7minutes away from Lake Gregory where there is supermarket, bars and restaurants. I'm so glad you found Lake Arrowhead and had a good time there. Holly Hill Chalet is so much more than a hotel room in the mountains. We have a beautiful acre and patio which can be enjoyed as well as fire pit and so many sitting areas in the garden which is your own personal park to enjoy. Unfortunately you weren't able to enjoy all it had to offer due to the weather. My guests experience is very important to me so I'm very sorry you didn't read that there was no kitchen. I did offer to cook anything that needed to be done on a stove when you arrived. I do hope smokey had a good time though. :) Peace and love from Holly Hill Chalet

Kiwi living in the mountains... Originally from New Zealand but have traveled extensively both on the ocean and land, have lived in Australia, Japan, New York, and Hollywood with extended periods in France. Dog lover and happy to share my home.
When we are home, we will generally keep to ourselves either pottering in the garden or working inside. There is a private entrance for guests, any interaction will be unnecessary unless wanted. :)

This truly is a special unique place. The views and the wildlife are incredible. The view is ever changing and the pictures do not do the view justice. The garden is expansive and has a park like feeling. Often guests use the words awestruck or awe inspiring. It truly is a magical property.

Peace and tranquility and a very special ever changing view. The 400 year Oak tree stands watch over the property and keeps many birds and animals happy.
