This well appointed and beautifully decorated 4 bedroom cottage has great ocean views as well as a pool and a hot tub! Thoroughly equipped and nicely furnished, Sea Glass books up quickly every single year so do not wait to secure your week. High quality beds, furniture and electronics with high speed internet access, flat screen tv's in every bedroom and the living room. The spacious kitchen is modern, very well-equipped and labeled for your ease and convenience. The very best part? The beautiful ocean views from the main level living space/decks and the upstairs "primary" bedroom. The kids will have a ball in the private swimming pool or playing on the beach which is just steps away from your front door.
South Nags Head is arguably the best location on the Outer Banks for a family vacation. It is a totally residential area enveloped by the Cape Hatteras National Seashore yet is only minutes from a variety of retail and recreational outlets (Jennette's Pier, Tanger Outlet Mall, many restaurants). Families will find the quiet, low-traffic and non-commercial atmosphere relaxing yet appreciate how easy it is to drive to the grocery store, restaurants, the movie theater, or a putt-putt course. The large multi-use path that parallels Old Oregon Inlet Road for its 4.5 mile length and is great for running, biking, or walking. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is a full service marina with boat ramps and is just a couple of miles south of Sea Glass if you need a convenient location for offshore or inshore boating and fishing.

We rented during the off season as a last minute spring break. We were able to bring the dog which was perfect. Great beach access. Cozy beach cottage and we'd stay here again.

Property greatly- Management company so so

The house was at such a great location. Waking up to the roar of the ocean every morning was fabulous. Also felt the property owners had everything labeled so nicely. Realty company could have better customer service skills.

We are glad that this guest enjoyed the location and home but regret their comment regarding our customer service as we work very hard to provide excellent customer service to all of our guests. Every question and request from this guest was replied to promptly and professionally by our staff. We can only assume that this comment is in regards to a misunderstanding about the pool being available during their stay - the guest requested a partial refund because they thought the pool (not heated and therefore only open seasonally) would be available and we explained that we were not authorized to issue any refunds since the pool was never supposed to be open that week. As we said at the time, we are sincerely sorry for the misunderstanding.

We wanted to love it.

When we booked, we knew there was a possibility that more family might be coming to stay later and bringing their dogs. The realtor that we rented from was very accommodating with that. However, the house was filthy. It was just my husband and I the first three days. We used the upstairs master bedroom and the upstairs bathroom. The shower had black mildew coming out from under the edge of the shower wall when water hit it. The bed in the master had a mattress pad on it that had entire sections of padding missing and was dirty. We removed the matress cover to prevent a lumpy bed. The mattress was stained and dirty. There was no closet to hang clothes, just hooks on the wall. The windows and view in the master bedroom are beautiful.... until about 6AM when the sun rises and shines right on the pillow where your head lays. There is nothing covering the triangle shaped windows. We felt a little exposed at night when everyone can see right in. The furniture has yellow stains at about 8" off of the floor where obviously a small dog had marked the couch and chair and it was never cleaned. The kitchen is stocked very well. So well that there are no empty cabinets to put food. The bathroom rugs were incredibly dirty, so I had to wash them. That's when we discovered a water leak in the downstairs bathroom (the rug was soaking wet in an unused bathroom). I called and reported it. It was never addressed during our stay. It could be a very special house, but was so dirty and unmaintained

It is very unfortunate that this guest never reported any cleanliness concerns during their stay as we may have been able to address some of them at the time. Either way, it is absolutely untrue that this home is "filithy". It is cleaned by an extremely competent and experienced housekeeper and it is a wildly popular rental with many repeat guests who certainly would not be so eager to return if the home was as described by this guest. Stains are not necessarily an indication of uncleanliness, mattresses./furnishings/etc. can be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after an incident and still have a stain. The complaints about the oceanside bedroom windows and the overstocked kitchen are truly a first.. Most guests are thrilled about the beautiful views and kitchen supplies. Again, to say this home is "dirty and unmaintained" is absolutely untrue. It is one of the most popular homes we manage and is meticulously maintained by homeowners who visit multiple times per year. There is not a leak in the bathroom. We do not usually respond to reviews in this fashion but we are truly baffled by this belated and false review.
