Wonderful Getaway!

We had a wonderful getaway to Belize and enjoyed our stay at Villa Amber. The villa was clean, spacious, and exactly what we needed for our stay. The beachfront sunrises were breathtaking and the beautiful blue water was a spectacular view anytime of day. The hospitality provided by Michaela and other staff was excellent, always quick to respond and assist as needed. We truly enjoyed being away from the busyness of town and did not mind the golf cart ride the few times we did venture in. We took advantage of nearby restaurants like Sun Deck, Portofino, Moon Bar and Sweet Water - there are so many great options to choose from that are a very short distance from La Perla. We cannot wait to visit again!

Incredible Villa!

We were totally impressed by the entire unit and staff of La Perla. The unit was perfect for my husband, in-laws and myself. It was impeccably clean with high end appliances and everything you could possibly need for a fantastic get away. We loved being right on the water and at the end of the property so we didn’t have as much foot traffic past our unit. It felt so luxurious and the perfect way to spend our beach vacation. Michaela and her staff took excellent care of us - I can’t recommend this unit enough!! Thank you!

Fantastic stay, Fantastic Place, Fantastic service

First time in Belize and it could not have gone better. The home is beautiful and was perfect for my wife and 2 daughters. Michaela the property manager was amazing and super helpful before and during the trip. She helped us coordinated transportation, excursions, and a golf cart rental. I even screwed up an issue with the rental and she was able to quickly help me fix it, even though it was my mistake. We loved the location which is far enough away to feel some solitude but not so far away as to feel isolated. There are a couple of good restaurants within walking distance but we were glad we had the golf cart; it opened up many more option. We had a great time and cant recommend this place enough. When we come back it will be here.

The home is absolutely perfect - from the relaxing hammock in the screen porches to the incredible views. The kitchen is well equipped with a blender, the outdoor seating area is perfect for card playing, the deck area lounge chairs are comfy and the pool is well kept and nearby. The manager Michaela did everything possible beforehand and during our stay to make our vacation perfect in every way. Transportation. Golf cart rental. Booking our wonderful snorkeling experience (the highlight of our trip) with Brio. Five stars plus!

Villa Amber's location at the water front is even better than the photos! Truly paradise!

We super enjoyed the spacious villa with our 3 boys. We cooked breakfast each day and prepared one dinner in the kitchen. Some kitchen items could use a replacement like the cookie sheet, but overall well stocked. There is a blender, juicer, and fantastic coffee maker! I highly encourage using the grocery delivery recommendation and not just for the convenience. Many of the food items are homemade, fresh and of superb quality. Despite a couple of rainy days, we enjoyed playing cards and periodic games of corn hole in the back. The location is fairly convenient to Secret Beach and many excursions will pick you up at the La Perla dock. Several restaurants are within walking distance and outstanding. The Villa had all of the conveniences of home but located in paradise. Note that this particular villa is very private due to its location and shrubs. We enjoyed coffee on the porch while still in PJs.

It was not crowded and the service was impeccable -- Michaela and Roberto were particularly attentive and it was an added bonus for us to spend time with the property manager as well. Although not close to town, the golf cart ride into San Pedro was fun as there were lots of things to see along the way. There are a few places to eat near the resort and a spot to buy essential groceries (for a hefty price!) The villa was large and well-equipped, and we loved being able to leave for excursions or the airport right from our pier. There are villas of various sizes and interior decorating styles available -- Villa Amber was 2 bedrooms, right on the beach. We loved it and hope to return.

Loved Villa Amber; tucked to the side of the resort so no one walking in front of the unit. Amazing deck- spent lots of time gazing into the sea. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Simple, tasteful decor. Everything we needed. Michaela and staff were in touch regularly to see how things were and responsive to any questions and requests. We had two incredible days on the water with Action Divers. Loved the Portofino and Sundeck, both v. close for meals. Would recommend renting a golf cart. Went to town about once a day. Pool was lovely too. We hope to return. It is lovely, well-maintained resort.

La Perla Homes -Amber and Pearl

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just returned from our stay at LaPerla and had rented two of the the homes because we had 15 people in our group. The homes were very nice and the service was incredible. Makhala was so helpful in helping us schedule activities, massages and Chef Maria who came three times to cook amazing dinners for us. I would highly recommend using her as that was the best food that we ate on the island. The beach was kept very clean and I would definitely go back to LaPerla. The only downside is it is about 30 minutes to downtown SanPedro by golf cart but we did not mind being on the North end of the Island seeing as it is much quieter and more beautiful. Roberto was awesome and took our group out fishing and snorkeling and picked us up on our dock. It was a great place to stay and I would highly recommend LaPerla.

From the moment we landed in San Pedro our service from LaPerla was amazing. Alexia met us at the airport, and our driver was waiting for us too.. The villa was so beautiful and just perfect for two couples. There were a couple of restaurants in walking distance that we took advantage of. Helmer, Ryan and Bol took great care of us throughout our stay. The grounds were so tastefully taken care of. We spent most of our time at LaPerla because you just can’t beat the seclusion and the view. Alexia set up anything we needed, from a golf cart rental, to dinner in our villa from local cooks, to massages under the dock palapa. We thank you all for your hospitality and We hope to return soon.

Remember it's someones home not a resort

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a stunning view and the property is in great condition. While we were there they had ongoing maintenance to keep it looking it tip top shape. However our experience was hot and cold. We had plenty of cookware and plates, but nothing to keep leftovers from the chef's visit or our fishing and lobster excursions. Normally you would use saran wrap but there was no foil, saran wrap, or plastic bags. So we had to constantly hand clean dishes to use a storage. When we mentioned that there wasn't any the response was "Oh yeah". We opted to cook more often then not because town was 45 mins away. Just a note the stores nearby had limited options. There are two restaurants/bars within walking distance otherwise it will take you 30 mins or longer via golf cart. There were cockroaches in the pots and in my folded clothes in the drawers.Upon arrival there was a dead one on the floor. I understand that it's a tropical environment and they are the local pest, I just hate them. This was not a big issue but seemed a little odd the master open floorplan had an open bathroom which was quite nice. But after taking a shower I noticed a gap in the floor boards that reveal the sand from under the elevated ground. So it was really hot there and cool next to the Air Con.The property manager facilitated the contacts for excursions, golf cart rental, and water/air travel. Just beware that those prices changed once there and were different than listed in the guest book. Kendra was amazing to help us get things in town like rice and onions. She also helped us get a blender.This is a great place to go with a group. We said hi to our neighbors but there wasn't the same sense of fun and comaraderie from a resort. I would have loved to see an onsite activities manager but that's when I need to remember this is someones home not a resort. Just like the posting in the kitchen and the guest book states.

The most amazing experience!

La Perla hosted us for our stay and wedding in September 2022. The property itself was absolutely stunning. The pictures do not do it justice. We stayed at Villa Amber but had family at Villa Sand and Villa Opal as well. Marj and Jennifer were amazing with booking our family for this wedding trip at their resort. Michaela, the onsite manager, handled every little details with such speed and attention to detail. She was our main contact for tour operators and any needs that might arise while on our trip. We could not have asked for better. We were so cared for from the moment we booked through the end of our stay. Their grounds are cared for daily by the staff. They also made sure that the grounds were perfect on our wedding day. INSIDER TIP: Make sure you ask for fresh coconuts. they cut them down from the trees on the property. Such a yummy treat! Overall, if you are planning a stay on Ambergris Caye, stay at La Perla!! You will not be disappointed!!

Absolute paradise!

Everything was perfect! The staff was helpful and friendly. The property was everything we imagined and I hope we can return again someday.

Service and Location

The villa is everything the photos make you hope for. The set up is oriented to the amazing view in every room. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils. I like to cook on vacation. The oven only had one rack and only had two eyes (the ones on the left) that got hot enough to boil water. But the eyes on the right could warm. It was a gas range top with a convection oven, so top notch in general. Both shower heads were dysfunctional, but it is a an island. You have to roll with the island things from time to time. The manager, Michaela, connected with us over Whatsapp, and took care of absolutely everything. Better service than I have ever received at any lodging under $2k per day. Roberto handled all of our excursions, and we got constant concierge attention at every turn. The beach and property is as good as it gets.

Amazing place to stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time staying in Villa Amber and it was as amazing as the first time. The beds were super comfortable and it was nice having two queen beds in the second room for our 16 and 19 year old. The AC worked great, and the kitchen has everything you need. I would recommend getting groceries delivered before you stay. It's a little pricey but worth it. Micheala is great and takes care of everything! Roberto is great in getting any excursions planned. The views are SPECTACULAR!!! Only downside, there isn't any restaurant on site, but Portifino's is a 5 minute walk and you can get food delivered. Every morning there was a guy outside our villa selling breakfast burritos and tamales. YUM! It is pretty far North of town so be prepared for a rough road heading to town. It's about a 30 minute drive(on a golf cart) to San Pedro but there are plenty of places to stop by on the way. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. You won't be dissapointed!
