Welcome to Mountain Retreat!

Be immersed with nature when you pull into the park-like descending driveway. The expansive mountain views will captivate you as nature should! Take a moment to just breathe it all in on the wooden outdoor deck with multiple newly furnished seating areas. You pick your spot where you want to slow down and relax.

The best part is waking up in the morning to the smell of freshly brewed coffee, sitting on the alfresco dining watching the sunrise do its beautiful magic. If that isn't enough, soak into the jacuzzi with your favorite glass of wine for the happiest hour of the day, watching the sunset horizon over the panoramic rolling hills view. After experiencing a true Santa Barbara canyon feel you won't want to leave! But if you do, you'll leave with the feeling of nature wrapping all around you. Enjoy these serene moments!

Close to shops and restaurants, this one-acre sanctuary offers privacy and transitions effortlessly with sliding glass doors from the kitchen to the impressive deck for an indoor-outdoor lifestyle. The newly updated kitchen has everything you need to cook a fantastic meal! With new countertops and appliances, it opens into the dining space with a table that can accommodate beautiful gatherings. This home has hardwood floors throughout and flows easily into the cozy light-filled living room with a massive flat-screen TV, a surround sound system, two chairs, a couch, and a warm fireplace to cuddle up to.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, a flat-screen TV, two end tables, an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a door out onto the deck for easy jacuzzi access!

The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms both have Queen beds, two end tables, plenty of closet space, and flat-screen TVs. There is a work desk in one room and these two rooms share a bathroom with dual sinks and a shower/tub combo.

One mile to State Street and all shops, bars, and restaurants! Perfect for a family getaway or couple's retreat. Quiet, peaceful, private with a mini putting green on the property. Whatever you desire, you will find it here at Mountain Retreat!

There is a washer and dryer in the garage and one camera in the driveway. Please be aware there is no fence around the deck or jacuzzi.

Perfect place to work and relax

We had to find a place to work and stay while on a construction project. This was the perfect house and location! Great hosts!

Outdoor area was pleasant. The property was clean, but with stark white walls and minimal furnishings, did nothing to evoke any type of comfort or interest let alone a Southern California experience. The home apparently was sold in late April 2022, so clearly there was a rush to get it on the rental market & it showed. The old folding closet doors were poorly aligned & the master bath door was missing the top horizontal wheel, so the door fell off the track onto the floor when attempting to close it. Tile in the master bath had noticeable gaps. The master bedroom tv is mounted to the wall on the side of the bed, which makes it very uncomfortable to view. One of the guests woke up to a lizard crawling up his arm while he was in bed. The description of the property on the website includes air conditioning , however after arriving in the late afternoon to a very hot house and no reference on how to use the programmable thermostat system, I called Casago & was informed there was no a/c. No explanation or assistance was offered. The only means of cooling in the house are fans (small table top for the 2 bedrooms & one ceiling in the master). Every afternoon & evening the house was in the mid to upper 80’s - there is no window covering on the sliding door off of the kitchen,/ dining so eating in the house was impossible unless you enjoy sweating. After a day spent at the beach or touring, it was impossible to return to the property to relax or cool off. Only late evening or early morning was pleasant - as you could be outside). I sent a response to the SBCasago & have asked twice for a reply/ explanation and have yet to be contacted. I have had the pleasure of vacationing in many beautiful locations & properties and this was by far the most disappointing.
