Beautiful and Peaceful

The house was perfect for our quiet family getaway. Very clean, fully stocked with everything we needed. Lovely, secluded spot, but close to cute towns, and a short trip to the National Park. Host is very helpful and responsive.

Cool place!

This place was pretty cool! Definitely a nice remote getaway. Like other reviews say, definitely need an AWD vehicle, the road in has some terrain but nothing too major! Overall it was a great place.

Cute & secluded

Enjoyed our stay in this cute, secluded cabin. Hot tub had beautiful view of the mountains. Clean with modern amenities. Would stay again.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We stayed with a group of six, four adults and two children. The cabin is very nicely located at the end of a road, with zero through traffic, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Amenities like a jacuzzi and fire pit area make this very enjoyable. The house was very clean and kitchen and bathrooms have everything you need (including plenty of towels, helpful when you have a large group and jacuzzi). We had a great time.

Secluded place near Shenandoah River

We enjoyed our stay. Jaccuzzi and wildlife amidst Shenandoah forest- you can‘t beat that. All amenities you can wish for and a lovely view. Clean, spacious and modern design meets humming birds, deer, lizards and much more. Thanks for the experience.

Quiet Getaway

The views were amazing. It was very quiet and relaxing to sit out by the fire pit and in the hot tub. The house was clean, and the owner was responsive. We plan to come back.

Privacy and relaxation with a superb view

It’s cozy, has all the basics, cliff side jacuzzi, good tv, nice design, a good bottle of wine. A quaint little town, an idyllic drive to the rocky road that takes you to the last property on the hill. I can’t wait to see this place again when the plants grow in and hug the house, patio, and deck a little better.

Cute Cabin in the Mountains

The stay was great. The host was quick to respond and provided helpful information. The fireplace and hot tub were the highlights. The wifi and tv worked well and there was plenty to do outside. Further down there was a little river that was nice to visit and town is super cute. The beds were not extremely comfortable and there were no cleaning products to clean up after yourself (but a maid came post visit) other than that everything was perfect.

Wonderful weekend getaway!

Our family and a friend (6 adults) spent the weekend at this beautiful cabin - thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit area with the fairy lights! Beds were comfy and cabin was clean. We had lunch in historic Woodstock, which was close by. *NOTE* You will need a good sized car to get up the road - we had an SUV. My daughter parked in town and we picked her up because there's no way her little Honda Civic would have made it up that road.

A beautiful spot to get away!

Recently came to the cabin for a long weekend filled with much-needed relaxation. This view cannot be beaten! We sat for hours outside and in the hot tub, noticing the shadows shift on the mountains, listening to bird songs, and gazing at the stars. Very buggy—you’re in the woods and mountains—so be sure to bring bug spray. Also whoever said not to use Waze is DEFINITELY right—it will lead you dangerously astray! The road to get to the right spot when using Apple Maps or Google Maps was not *that* treacherous though having a high-seated car with good traction and big tires will make things much easier. The host was accommodating and responsive. Would stay again!

Lovely serene spot!

The two of us and our kitty really loved staying at the cabin. The setup was really geared for some serious couch potatoing! The bed/bedroom was comfortable, the place was spotless, and you can't beat the TOTAL silence. Good bye traffic noises or neighbors! :-) We had a situation where we had to reach out to Miguel for some assistance and he was really nice and helpful. Very responsive and took care of everything. Helpful note: If you plan on doing some cooking be aware the pots/pans are a little limited. So plan to bring specialty/larger items yourself. The nearby Filibuster Distillery is a great little visit. :-) Ask for Mike.

Great for long weekend getaway

We stayed for a long weekend following Christmas - needed to get away from the city for a bit. It's a beautiful house with a great view and good location. It was just 3 of us so the space was fine -- I am not sure I would recommend it for a larger group in winter, as you'd really be on top of each other. For the other three seasons, the deck, hot-tub, and firepit would all be great ways to spread out. Would definitely love to go back sometime in the future!

Incredible to say the least

The property and all the amenities described already made it look like a good place to book. When you arrive almost anything you would need is provided. This stay provided a get away for my friends and I from everything and allowed everybody to relax. The location is ideal as well for a bunch of different activities. Absolutely would recommend

Perfect Weekend Getaway - Very Uncomfortable Beds

My wife and I were looking for a more secluded spot to getaway from the business of life. This cottage provide the ideal location. It was cozy and we really enjoyed our time. Be advised the beds are incredibly uncomfortable... basically like sleeping on the floor. We stayed 3 nights and that was my max. Any more and I don't think I would have handled it. Other than that we had a great time, saw a bear, eagle, lots of deer, and lots of spiders (which you should expect when coming to the woods). There is another house on the property a little ways away, but lucky for us no one was there during our stay. We would consider coming back if they upgraded the beds!

Flexible, beautiful!!

First, the stay was absolutely beautiful!! Just an incredible cabin which went well beyond our expectations. We wish we had more time to just spend at the cabin itself because the view and atmosphere were incredible. Second, we had an unexpected change in plans and the property manager was very flexible with us which was incredibly appreciated!! 10/10!

Comfortable and clean home in the mountains

We enjoyed our stay as 4 adults getting away for the weekend. If you book this DO NOT USE WAZE to get to the address, use Google maps only! When we made it to the correct location, we had no problem getting up the hill with SUVs and a local wine tour was even able to pick us up with a minivan at the house for anyone worried. The home was clean, we enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub (bring your own wood and starter as a tip for best results), and the kitchen had a few basics that allowed you to cook a little. The host was quick to respond when we had a small issue with linens but towels and blankets were plentiful. We enjoyed our stay and especially the view in the fall- I would recommend it to anyone.

Weekend away

My husband and some friends of ours went away for a weekend and this property was beautiful! It was secluded but not too far of a drive to anywhere we wanted to go, clean, and overall a great time. The view was great as well! The only thing I suggest to future guests is to come in a vehicle with substantial clearance such as an SUV or truck. The driveway is rocky , as you would expect in this area, and low clearance cars may scrape in some areas. But it's a great property! The owner had great communication as well . Highly recommend!

Perfect! Book Now!

This place was everything we were hoping for for my Wife and oldest son’s birthdays! The cabin itself was cozy but rooms enough to not be stumbling over each other. It was very clean and well appointed with nearly everything you’d need for a weekend getaway. The best part of this rental is the VIEW! It’s so beautiful, especially from the clean hot tub! If it’s a clear night, make sure to stand on the hot tub’s deck with all the lights off in the house and look up! The Milky Way is clearly visible and the stars shine super bright! There’s also a great fire pit and sitting area on the property with a couple hammocks. The kids loved those! The front porch is perfect for morning coffee or a fire at night and the large back deck is perfect for outdoor meals and entertaining and has a large charcoal grill. We bought charcoal and fluid just in case but there was some left when we took the cover off the grill. Miguel was great and answered our questions promptly and was very personable. Don’t hesitate to reach out to him for questions. We were sad to leave but will definitely be back to either this cabin or the A-frame cabin on the same property. The property is very secluded and quiet and is perfect for getting away from the real world for a few days! The only thing that I’d suggest for guests is to make sure you have a good vehicle as the road up to the property is gravel and somewhat steep. Also, there is firewood but most are larger log pieces. I’d suggest bringing a bundle of smaller logs and/or a starter log. All in all, this place was amazing and we can’t wait to go back!

Luxury in the mountains

This house has a beautiful location in the woods, very private. Everything is brand new. The owner has made a lot of personal touches on this house: comfortable, soft sheets, warm throw blankets for the furniture( we used on a rainy day there while watching netflix on the flat screen tv) , brand new dishes and utensils, complimentary bottle of wine and info on surrounding area. The owner is very responsive to questions and you can tell he wants people to enjoy this house. The only suggestion we have for people booking this house is to be aware the driveway is gravel and a long way off the paved road but very doable. The view from the hill was beautiful! We loved staying there and would be willing to book again!

Charming house with privacy

Everything was new and worked very well! Water pressure in the shower was little weak but other than that everything was cozy, stylish and very clean. Nice sunset view from the outside hot tub.
