This completely renovated mid century cottage brings the best of Highland’s charm and natural surroundings. This pristine house was renovated, professionally designed and decorated in 2022 to create a modernized and comfortable getaway home in a serene and private environment with all the top comforts and amenities located within minutes to Highlands restaurants, shopping, gokf courses, hiking and many outdoor activities. Situated on half an acre nestled amongst trees on a slightly elevated lot, the house has large windows with unobstructed views of the beautiful natural environment of the charming and historical Rolling Acres neighborhood. Large windows in all rooms fill this comfortable house with natural light and serene views. Enjoy a stay in this cottage with a curated mix of modern and vintage furniture, custom designer window treatments, new kitchen, bathrooms, appliances, 4 Smart TV’s, sreened in porch and 2 outdoor decks with fire pit and propane grill. Living room with wood burning fireplace is open to kitchen with large vintage farmtable that seats 8. Relax in screened porch as an outdoor second living room with upholstered furniture and tv. Walk out the front door and enjoy serene walks in this beautiful neighborhood and with short drive to multiple local hikes and waterfalls around the Highlands community. Few minute drive into town for coffee, lunch, dinner and shopping. Beautiful 15 minute drive up Cashiers Rd to town of Cashiers for more restaurants, shopping and world class golf courses. This 2 bedroom cottage has all to offer for a wonderful stay in Highlands in a beautiful, new, clean and comfortable house in an ideal location close to everything…ideal for couples, families and friends alike!!

Weekend Mountain Getaway

We drove in for a quick wedding and oh my... this cabin is what one dreams of in the mountains. Quaint, cozy, and clean. For all future getaways, we will stay here!

We had a great NYE trip away! Very close to downtown while still giving the cozy mountain feel. Clean & had everything we needed. We loved the fireplace! Will def be back.

Cozy Highlands Cottage!

The house is so cozy, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, and well-stocked with everything you need! Location is perfect, quick drive into Highlands, and easy to get to Cashiers too! The screened porch, back deck, and front porch were all great spots to enjoy the weather! We loved our stay!

Perfect highlands getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Adorable home very close to downtown highlands. Beds were so comfortable (especially the front bedroom!) Communication with property manager/ owner was great. No complaints here! We hope to stay here again soon!

Lovely home and location

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was nice to be in a quiet neighborhood but a very short drive to restaurants. The property was well equipped, clean, and tasteful. We would definitely return. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Quiet cottage close to downtown Highlands

The cottage was a great getaway with all the amenities. We cooked at property and it had all you needed. It was nicely decorated and well appointed. It’s three minutes from downtown so while it feels so private, you are close to the town if needed. We loved having the fireplace and the screened porch - has such nice features. We will return!

House was very comfortable including bed. Nice supply of linens/towels. Location was close to town & very quiet neighborhood. Beautiful view of meadow from living room window. Would definitely rent property again. Birgitta was very responsive to all communication.

Fantastic spot in Highlands

Would love to stay here again! Very convenient to downtown highlands. Home is cozy and well decorated. Perfect place for myself, my husband, and our 8 month old baby. We loved the screen porch. Also, the kitchen sink is perfect to bathe a baby! Host was gracious and accommodating. 10/10!

Beautifully Decorated Bungalow

My family enjoyed our stay in this newly renovated home in a great neighborhood approximately 2 miles from town. There are 2 outdoor decks where we spent most of our time when at the house. The neighborhood is very quiet. A relaxing house close to town, hiking, swimming holes and golf. Highly recommended

Very comfortable and great location

The host was so helpful, and the home was just as pictured with easy access into Highlands. Many extras with comfortable beds, furniture and a stocked kitchen. We spent time shopping in Highlands and listening to some Bluegrass music. It rained most of the weekend, so we bought tickets for a play at the Highlands Playhouse, and it was excellent. A great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon. Due to the rain the carport was a plus for staying dry and loading the car! During an evening break in the rain, we were able to sit out on the porch and enjoy this quiet neighborhood in the mountains and even took a nice walk! Definitely would stay again!

Perfect Home Base

This house was the perfect home base for our time in Highlands. The home is cozy, comfortable, quiet and has modern conveniences and beautiful décor. Highlights for us: comfortable bed, strong Wi-Fi for phone and computer, beautiful kitchen and baths, loved the heater on the bathroom exhaust fan for warm exit from shower, nice deck with grill, great location/proximity to main street and easy communication with the owner. We will definitely stay again if we make our way back to Highlands. We loved the town and nature activities, but we really loved coming back to this house to relax at the end of the day. When deciding if we wanted to go out to dinner or eat in, we opted for relaxing dinners at the house. We would highly recommend.

Comfortable cottage

We rented this property for the months of August and September . It is a 2 queen bedroom with 1 1/2 baths . The bonus of this house is the covered screened porch complete with a couch, chairs and tv . We spent countless hours watching birds, chipmunks , squirrels and a few deer . No bears! The house is located in a quiet neighborhood which was nice for walking . Highlands is only 2 miles away. The town has many great shops and fabulous restaurants . On Friday nights there is music on town Square and on Saturday music in the park ! We would definitely stay here again Unfortunately Friday Sept 27 hurricane Helene hit North Carolina with much rain , damaged and fallen trees and closed roads . The town responded to the disaster and a road opened quickly . The town was welcoming visitors back in a week or so . Great place to visit or live. The host was very responsive to any questions or concerns . Highly recommend

Girl's Weekend

This was the perfect getaway for our girl's weekend. The house is so charming and the decor is amazing. Everything was so cozy and the house was stocked with everything you could need. It was the perfect location being in a quiet neighborhood but only minutes from downtown. We definitely hope to return to this lovely home. Thank you for making our celebration weekend perfect!
