This place is bright, clean, cozy and perfectly functional. The host was quick to respond when I reached out with a question and the location was ideal for the kind of getaway we were looking for. I can easily see us returning here in the future.

The house was clean and comfortable. It was also well located near the store and close to the bay beach. Broadkill is quiet, quaint, and quality vacation spot.

Great Beach House!

My family visited for a long weekend and had a great visit. The house was clean and comfortable with quick access to the beach. Communication was excellent and check in was a breeze.

Great location

This property was extremely clean and check-in was a breeze. Literally across the street from the beach access trail so it really is a 1 minute walk to the beach as advertised. Near Milton and Lewes which two wonderful towns to visit or just relax and enjoy the peacefulness of Broadkill Beach. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay. The house was very clean, serene, and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, and the host communicated right away with a few questions we had. The walk to the beach was easy, and we appreciated the provided beach wagon and chairs. Our kids loved discovering all the toys in the house. We would stay here again.

Wonderful stay at Broadkill Beach house

The house was in a great location, proximity to the beach entrance was a big a plus. We were very impressed with all the amenities in the house and its cleanliness. We felt very at home! We'd be happy to stay there again. :)

Well kept, comfortable home with the supplies you need for your stay.Nicely decorated. Short walk to the beach. Quite but friendly neighborhood. We Didn't want to leave....

August Trip to Broadkill Beach

Very thoughtful layout and decor. Great location - 2 minutes away from beach on foot. Comfortable bed with wonderful view of the marshes. Spacious dining area with well-equipped kitchen. Helpful communication with our host. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrellas!

Great house, great location

Everything about this property was perfect. The location was a one-minute walk to the beach, making it super convenient to go over for the day and walk back to get snacks/lunch. We had a four-year-old with us, so easy access was important. The house also came with a beach wagon, chairs, umbrellas, which was awesome. Everything we needed for days at the beach. Friendly and helpful communication with the owner/manager throughout the process. Highly recommend, and our group would be happy to stay here again.

The property was lovely. We didn’t get to use the beach much because there were tons of jelly fish in the water but that was due to a coming storm. Nothing that the owners or anyone else could have done about that. We still had a nice time and enjoyed family time.

Such a lovely spot just around the bend from the ocean (such a short walk) - the entrance to the beach is almost immediately across the street. So convenient. My family stayed with our 3 young kids (ages 8, 5, nearly 3) and it worked well for our needs. The master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the wetlands, and the living room has a large balcony with seating facing the ocean. We stayed for the Fourth of July and were able to watch fireworks from the balcony! Also love the amount of light this place lets in. Such a refreshing place to be.The host was very communicative and helpful with any questions I had. Great to work with and provided a great value - thankful for the way she hosted us!Coming from the Midwest, we went looking for a spot on the coast that would specifically be quiet (space to spread out) the week of America’s 250th with less violent waves, thinking of our kids ages. The beach lived up to that criteria - horse flies were the only drawback when winds blew from the west, but my husband found an app that guides on horse fly activity and we learned how to protect ourselves. The selection of beach gear, from multiple umbrellas to beach chairs to beach toys, was a wonderful option to have! We had a great stay so far from home and it really felt like a home away from home.

The house is in a great location almost directly across the street from the beach access path. It was a very nice house and perfect for our needs. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for meals. The owner was very responsive answering our questions. There were beach chairs available for our use. The beach is very quiet and not crowded. This area is much more like the Outer Banks than the typical DE and MD beaches and we did not have any issues with flies or jellyfish that we had seen in reviews of Broadkill Beach. There are horseshoe crab shells all over but it was not hot the week we were there and a steady breeze off the water so they were easy to ignore. The one store has some basic grocery items and beach gear but be sure to stock up at home or at the large Food Lion on the way in Milton. Other than that store it’s 15-30 min to restaurants or other retail. This area is well suited to a quiet beach vacation to spend time hanging with your family without being in a packed, busy area.

Easy booking and check-in. House was very clean and very well stocked with cleaning and paper products (plus games, puzzles, kids' toys/books, life vests, beach wagon). Bring your own discs for the PS4. Kitchen had all the tools/appliances you would need to prepare family meals. I noticed some of the indoor and outdoor furniture had been nicely upgraded from the photos too (not that they needed to be). I liked the washer/dryer here more than I like my own! Host reached out to give us option of earlier check-in and made herself available to help if needed. She very kindly fulfilled a last minute ask on our part as well. The location exceeded expectations in terms of proximity to the beach and what appeared to be a safe and quiet neighborhood (i.e. families and not parties). All in all our experience was pretty excellent!
