The positive - the main floor was comfortable, the kitchen well stocked with a comfortable dining table. The screened in porch was nice for our afternoon happy hour. The property is in the woods, about a 10 minute drive to downtown Lake George. The bath towels they provide are very nice.Noted issues & improvements needed: While the door code to get in worked, the wifi site and code we were given was wrong, we found the correct one a guest had written in ink in the 'info book', which showed a printed date of 2022. There are steep stairs to the loft and the basement, so anyone with mobility issues would have a hard time. The second bathroom is in the basement. There were no screens on the windows in the loft, so while the nights were cool we didn't open them, making the loft warm. There is a broken window shade in one of the bedrooms. There was no dishwasher detergent. I contacted the owner - who was going to have a cleaning person bring some, then was going to order some, which his sister did, but they never came. So we had to wash dishes by hand. We didn't find any dish towels. While there is some very nice planting, some trimming and outdoor cleaning is needed. The little stream with a wooden 'bridge' does not have water and needs cleaning up. It was too hot & sunny to use the table on the deck. The air conditioner requires a code with no instructions given, so I had to contact the owner, who provided it via text (not sure why they don't provide that upfront).
