Welcome to a newly updated cottage located on a quiet cove on the main Lake of Toledo Bend Reservoir. Private boat launch and dock located on the property. Great place for swimming , fishing, and kayaking. Conveniently located less then 10 minutes from the new Wildwood Resort Water Park and 12 minutes from Toledo Town & Tackle. Sleeps up to 10 people. 20 mins from Cypress Bend Golf Course.

birthday trip

Enjoyed the fishing and kayak available. had all the things needed for cooking. Beds were comfortable. I loved the comforters. It was clean on the inside.

Great place to stay with the family

We had a good time staying here. We had a lot of smaller kids and they had a blast playing in the water and trying to fish they had a lot of room to sleep and play around

We love this Vrbo! Great dock to sit and relax on or let the kids fish for bluegill and great area to swim! Tucked away in the back of a cove the blocks most the wind. Very nice cabin with air conditioning and two window units so you can stay as cool as you want. If we stay mid lake in the future we will definitely stay here.

The home was super cute and spacious. Everything we could have needed was provided. We loved that they even had games for every age The property looks just as pictured. Would definitely stay again.

Was a wonderful place to spend a long weekend with all my grandchildren and my children. The only.

The only problem i saw was if there are sleeping for 10 people please accommodate with bedding.

This property was very clean! We walked in and it looked and smelled fantastic. The kitchen came well stocked with utensils, dishes and cooking vessels. Beds/pillows very comfortable Communication with owners was excellent. Quick responses. Zero issues while there. We will book again!

Family vacation

Nice and quiet. Great location. Plenty parking. Especially with boats. Private launch was convenient. Loved the pier. My grandson and I caught catfish and bream every cast. Although not very big, he enjoyed himself. As well as myself spending hours with him. Highly recommended this place.

Perfect place to stay at Toledo Bend!

The Woodland Cottage was the perfect place for our family fishing trip. Plenty of room for my husband and I, our three teens, and my parents. The cottage was very clean, and smelled great upon entering. Well stocked kitchen, and a nice supply of linens. All furnishings were updated and comfortable. The outdoor space was just as described in the post. Love the boat launch on the property. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. We had the best weekend, and will be back soon!

Best VRBO

This was our second time staying at Woodland Cottage and we could not have had a better experience either time. We brought my FIL and son this time and they also loved it! It’s clean, easy to communicate with the owners, and the perfect fishing location. The pier is well lit at night, they had plenty of your basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash). Only about 5 miles from Toledo Town and Tackle, 15 min drive to the town of Zwolle for the best tamales, and the house also smells amazing! You can’t go wrong booking your stay here and we cannot wait to go back.

Mini vacation

To begin with the directions received from Vrbo to the place are wrong and had us down the wrong road searching for the property. The checkin process was easy and quick, the place smelt great and seemed clean and neat! Ran into a spider problem inside killing more than two brown recluses. Majority of the ceiling fan lights in the single bed rooms did not work. Not an issue at all but just something too note. They had great WiFi and all channels you could think of on the tvs! Lots of pots and pans which worked out amazing for our bbq! The beds were extremely comfortable for everyone! With enough space for the 5 of us anything more would be tight. Now on the outside the porches where covered in spiderwebs which isn’t a huge deal but after killing brown recluses we weren’t exactly excited with them all over the back porch and dock! One of the charcoal fire pits was completely trashed and the floating dock definitely could use some attention. Overall it was a decent stay in a quiet cove not terribly far from Toledo town.

Perfectly relaxing

The property was a perfect fit for our plans. We were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of linens supplied. Sitting around the fire pit and down on the dock at night was so nice and relaxing.

Perfect Toledo Bend Wknd Away!

This home was wonderful. It had three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Also, washer & dryer. We had an issue with the a/c not coming on but AS SOON as I contacted homeowner he had someone out to fix it within 30 minutes. (amazing if you consider most places and their communication!!) The a/c man came back by 7:30am the next morning to finish up and make sure with us that it was working right. Very Nice of him to do. The dock was perfect to fish off of, we also had our own kayak we used around in the little cut. All around a great CLEAN and perfectly stocked place. All bedding was fresh, towels were fresh and all was stocked up nice and again CLEAN!!! The next time we need a place to stay up there we will for sure be contacting this one! I've always had my own camp but we recently sold it, so this place was great on making it feel as if it was your place.... not too many RULES posted everywhere. Just simple requests by the owners. PERFECT PLACE TO ESCAPE TO-DOCK DIRECTLY ON THE WATER AND BOAT LAUNCH IN ARMS DISTANCE! Thanks for making the trip enjoyable! -Coley

Perfect fishing home!

Everything is set up perfect! The house seriously has everything you would need to cook, watch TV, there are toys, and a deck to fish off of. Everything was very clean and pretty. Beautiful set up!! The GPS doesn't take you straight there but the neighbors are so nice and helped us find the house when they realized we were lost. Highly recommend!
