Hyggelig hytte mindre end en blok fra søen med adgang til fælles molen. Et perfekt sted for pooch som det har en indhegnet baghave (med picnic bord) og bakker op til Blackwood Canyon og hundredvis af hektar National Forest lander! Stor fordækket med afslappende peak-of-the-søen i sommer, gas og kul grill.
Dette hjem er et niveau, landindretning, åbent køkken / stueetage med store panoramavinduer og udsigt over søen fra det smukke nye forreste dæk. Spisebord til 8, afrundet L sofa, brændeovn med brændeovn, CD / Cassette-afspiller, nyt HDTV !! VHS / DVD, og ​​dør ud af ryggen fra vaskerum ud for køkkenet.

Loved This Cabin!

We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. It was very comfortable and cozy. Kitchen was well equipped and loved the wood stove with glass front. Perfect for our family. Would really enjoy staying here again.

The home was adequate. The bathrooms were nicely remodeled but the home has a musty smell. Two of the deck chairs were broken and unusable. The home was hot and does not have air conditioning. The outside deck area had trash from the previous tenant—water bottles, tissues, etc.

Hello Nancy, Thank you for taking time to provide your feedback. We discovered that the musty smell was due to a leak in the water supply line to the washing machine. That's been repaired and the affected area professionally cleaned and dried so the musty smell is gone. We sincerely apologize for the housekeeper's oversight in checking the outdoor area before your arrival. That definitely should have been done, and we're so sorry the space wasn't up to par for your stay. As noted in many places, including the online property description and the rental agreement that you signed, none of our properties have air conditioning. However, fans are available in every room.

The house was roomy with 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. The bedding was warm and comfortable. Kitchen had everything you could need and the house was clean. Love that house was dog friendly with a big fenced in backyard. Was a great spot for a family stay. Beautiful view of Lake Tahoe from the living room window. Relaxing setting.

Snow Play

Holland House is a darling, well stocked Tahoe cabin. We were snowed in for a day and a half and didn’t mind. Lots of games to play a cozy fire and tv. We were able to get to our snow covered street and play with our dog and meet other neighbors! Considered sledding down the street, but the snowplow got there first! What more could you want! Thanks

Cute place, could be great with a few small tweaks

We enjoyed our stay, and the location was nice. The pros were how large the kitchen area was, the dining room table was nice and big, and the place was decorated in a cute cabin/tahoe style. The downside of this location is that there are few drapes/curtains and all of the doors are off, so you can't really close them/they all stick very badly. My Mother in law thought she was trapped in the bathroom and had to yell to get someone to help her open it. We had to leave the doors partially open moving forward, which worked, but felt odd. As for curtains, the bedrooms had blinds, but other than that only the large amount of snow provided us privacy, which was a bummer.

Hello Jen, Thank you for your feedback regarding the Holland cabin. We're very sorry about the sticking doors - this happened due to the heavy snow load on the roof of the home. We have had this issue with quite a few homes during this big snowfall winter, and have been getting roof snow removal completed as quickly as we can. The issue with the sticking doors has now been resolved. We'll let the homeowner know about the window coverings in the living area. I'm sure they'll be open to getting some installed. Cozy but lacking in basic services and rental agreement was burdensome.

The rental was outdated but overall cozy and the kitchen was well-equipped. The internet and cable did not work when we arrived and we promptly notified property management. The issue was never resolved by the time we checked out and no apology or credit was even offered. The rental agreement was over the top. This property allows pets but you are not allowed to leave the dog unattended in the property. How are we supposed to enjoy Tahoe as a family if someone always has to stay back with the pet??? If the agreement accepts well behaved dogs and we pay extra to bring the pet, leaving it the rental alone should be a given. There are also tons of additional fees like extra for late check out, extra cleaning or if you lose the key and need to be let in so be sure to read and understand the rental agreement. This property also has a bear electric fence that will need to be turned off/on upon your arrival/departure which I was not a fan of. For the price, there are far better and more accommodating rentals in the area.

We're glad that you found the house generally to your liking. We apologize for the internet/cable issue and that we couldn't get it resolved during your 2 night stay. Due to recent heavy storms, the wires were ripped from the access line at the street and a cable company tech wasn't available to repair it until after you left. We don't believe that what we ask of renters is "over the top." When you make a reservation, we send a rental agreement for you to review and sign before we charge your credit card. If you felt that our policies and procedures were not to your liking, you had the opportunity to cancel the booking with no charges to your card. Lake Tahoe is bear country and electric fencing is common at many homes here. We apologize if this safety feature was an inconvenience to you.

Great Tahoe West Shore Family Cabin

We had a great three-week stay at the Holland house. Skyland is quiet and secluded yet walking distance to the pier, the lakeshore path, as well as hiking trails up to Chris Crag or south to Blackwood Creek and Eagle Rock. The cabin is older but comfortable with nice views out to the lake from the living room, two of the bedrooms and from the large deck. Beds were comfortable and the recently remodeled bathrooms had nice make-up mirrors and ample storage. The kitchen had everything you need for a sit down dinner for 8 or a deck party for 30: two coffee makers, a blender, coffee grinder, small mixer, plenty of bowls, gadgets and utensils, baking pans, cookie sheets, two stock pots, cast iron skillets, covered skillets and saucepans and a large gas grill. The washer and dryer were large capacity. The place was very clean but there were also some cleaning supplies, brooms and a good vacuum cleaner for our use. We did not have our grandchildren with us, but we would have been comfortable letting them out on their own to play outside in the long driveway or back in the fenced backyard. This said, I did not see any highchairs, pack-n-plays, children’s books or games or extra towels for soggy kids or doggy paws. We found the Holland house through VRBO, but we were happy to see that it was managed by Hauserman. In Tahoe City for almost 60 years, they truly know the West Shore and have several other rentals in Skyland; you could line up several for an extended family reunion!

However, as I described to Matthew on the 2nd of July, the family room/kitchen are very close to being uninhabitable. All 5 of us experienced coughing, sneezing and an alergic reaction to extreme dust that we felt was coming from the very old, very dirty wall to wall carpeting. I would hope that this carpeting would be replaced prior to this cabin being rented again - by anyone - especially as the winter approaches.

The property is very comfortable, it is well stocked, it had everything we needed and everything in the house worked well. The driveway was cleared off during the snow, the walkway was cleared, and it was stocked with bags of sidewalk salt. At the same time, it is not too fancy so that we did not have to worry about anything and we felt at home. We will be looking for this property the next time we visit Lake Tahoe.
