This home is nothing short of amazing! Everything we were hoping for and more. So clean, well stocked, well decorated and so comfortable! Elsa was a fantastic communicator. We will definitely be making a trip back there in the fall and winter!

Fourth of July weekend

Our stay at Elsa's cabin was wonderful from beginning to end over the holiday weekend. Super clean and well-organized with all the needed amenities plus unexpected extras. The game room and other available activities were enjoyed by all our family. We are already thinking about the next time we can come to this property in the Coosawattee River Resort.

We were so overly pleased with this fabulous cabin!! SUCH detail and thought went into this place! Host was friendly and engaging .. Highly recommend!! And can't wait to visit again :)

Lovely place

Everything you need for a nice mountain retreat is right here at peaceful mountain cabin. It was clean, it was quiet, it was cozy. The game room was a lot of fun and the deer were an added bonus

Beautiful Home

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and great communication with the owners are they are so accommodating. The game room is amazing and was one of the favorite spots in the house enjoyed by everyone. We would definitely stay here again.

Great girls' trip in North Georgia

We had a wonderful time at Elsa's cabin in Ellijay! The cabin had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable! Lots of deer to watch from the windows. Note: It's a gated community and the guard was less than pleasant when arriving to the neighborhood. Thankfully, Elsa was available via phone to assist us. :-)

Best VRBO

I was looking forward to leaving a review as this is probably one of the best vrbo’s we’ve stayed in. The owners pretty much have thought of everything including the most awesome Christmas decorations. The home was super clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The game room and huge tv were a big hit with not just the adults but we had 3 teen boys that spent hours playing and keeping busy. The area is amazing for long walks, but definitely lots of hills and plenty of deer to watch for. I hope we have the opportunity to stay again. Thank you.

Great mountain escape!

“They thought of everything!” That was repeated by nearly everyone over and over! We took full advantage of the grill, kitchen, fire pit, game room, hot tub, etc! Being greeted by whitetail deer every morning and evening was awesome!!! The Apple Festival was FANTASTIC! But this cabin MADE the trip!! We hope to visit again! HIGHLY recommend!

Excellent Family Vacation

We stayed at this home for 6 nights and enjoyed every minute. The home is clean, fully stocked with all your starter necessities plus extras that you wouldn't even think about. The host Elsa is very easy to get in touch with and is very accommodating. The best part of our family vacation was the deer feeder right out front, my children loved being able to sit on the front porch and watch the deer. Highly recommend this home and are already planning our next visit back.

Nothing Short of Amazing

Exactly as listed and as the Christmas pictures showed! Spacious. Perfect for two families coming together and spending a week in the mountains at Christmastime. It was well stocked with necessities! Two King Beds upstairs. Downstairs game room and bunk bedrooms had plenty of space for our 4 girls (tweens/teen). We had a fabulous time playing games, watching movies, hiking the mountain around the cabin, watching deer, having campfires, and making sweet memories. It was one of our favorite Cabins that we've stayed in. and we do hope to be back! Thank you for offering up you cabin so we could enjoy it! Many Blessings.

Wonderful holiday stay! Will come back!

Our stay was an absolutely amazing experience. The home was comfortable, wonderfully decorated for Christmas (such a bonus!), the amenities were plentiful, and the views were gorgeous. There is pretty much everything you need there. I was really impressed with how stocked the kitchenware was. I'm sure if you need it, they'll have it.. Just ask just in case. The host is very responsive. The game room and jacuzzi was a hit. I loved that the cabin had enough space for our large group. My personal favorite was the frequent visits by a family of deer. We left the property to go to Walmart (about 15 minutes away) and when driving through the property, you would see deer roaming freely. It was such a nice surprise. The owner's communication from start to finish was top notch. You had all of the information you needed to prepare for your trip and the host was accommodating throughout our stay. My husband forgot something very important at the cabin and our host reached out to us right away. This is a beautiful home located in a peaceful and serene area. We all want to come back again next year for the holidays but will stay longer!

Absolutely Amazing!!

From the beginning to the end, this vacation has been amazing. This property is hands down the most well stocked cabin we have stayed in. Elsa and Willie were so nice and decorated it for our family for Christmas and it was beyond perfect with small touches like Santa hats, Elf on the Shelf, etc. The game room had all type of things to do and our kids never got the option to be bored! We will definitely be returning! Thank you for making our Christmas vacation memorable!

Awesome stay at Great Escape Mountain Lodge!

Needed a place to unwind for a few days and this home was absolutely perfect! Set in the back of a private community, nice and secluded. The home was decorated for the holidays and was just stunning! The host had snacks and water upon arrival and also a hot chocolate bar!! The downstairs game room was incredible! Having 2 teenage boys, we had a blast using the pool table, foosball table, darts and corn hole outside! The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. Charging ports in the bedroom, baskets in bathroom for used towels and lots of blankets to cozy up with on the couch! Elsa was fantastic with communicating check in/out information and checking on us during our stay! Can't say enough about this place. Thank you for an amazing getaway for our family...we will definitely be back!!

Perfect location for a family fall vacation!

This is a fantastic property for a family get together in the area. The house is in a private community but secluded. It is easy to get to from a mostly paved road and not too far from activities, shopping and restaurants. Communication before during and after the visit was perfect and check in and out was easy. Home info and suggestions were in an easy to read binder and they left water and snacks for us on arrival. The kitchen is well stocked. The beds were comfortable and plenty of bathrooms. An extra treat was the game room downstairs with pool, foosball, game tables, darts and a separate television. The porch was a wonderful way to enjoy morning coffee or reading a good book and spending the day relaxing out of doors. We loved the place. It felt immediately like home, and we will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you.

Perfect family home in quiet mountain neighborhood

This home met all our expectations and beyond! They literally thought of every small convenience for the guests! The detail of even where the hooks are placed for towels, USB charging stations mounted on nightables, every needed small kitchen appliance and dish. The surroundings make you feel like you’re in the treetops and it is sooo quiet and peaceful. We saw deer every day strolling through the yards. Stores for groceries are a short zip down the hill. And speaking of hills - this driveway is superb! Easily accessible without 4WD. All linens and furniture were fresh and new! We Loved everything about this home! We’re looking at our family’s busy calendars to coordinate booking again.

Home away from Home

This place was very nice! Clean, organized, everything you would need at home, they had already there! The downstairs game room was excellent for our teenagers and adults!! Had no issues having something to keep us occupied while it was raining outside! It was in the mountains in a huge neighborhood but secluded, had deer everywhere in the neighborhood, had several come in the yard. Communication was great for checking in and getting all information we needed before and during our stay! Love that it was pet friendly also!
