The spot is amazing if you need a place to get away and relax I highly recommend this home. My wife and I will be back for sure. The house was clean and set up very nice waking up to the river in your window is not bad either.

Great property. Homeowners are responsive. Kitchen was well-stocked. Beds are comfy. Lots of hot water. The house is in a very nice subdivision and the drives to Murphy/Hayesville are really scenic. The river/trees/birds/deer all make the stay even better. Thank you!

We had a great time! The cottage was well away from traffic and noise. The sound of the river right outside was perfect for relaxing with a glass of good wine.We were shocked at the supplies, spices, first-aid kit , flashlights etc. I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality of kitchenware.One thing I cannot comment on is the TV….we never turned it on!Our host Corann was super helpful and easy to contact.Can’t wait to come back!M&J

I love to cook so I have things that when I come, I don’t have to go to the grocery store to get. I also like good pots and pans. I’m glad you enjoyed the Cottage and most people don’t turn on the TV. They love the peacefulness of the river. We look forward to your return

Perfect vacation home, right on the river.

Everything about this stay was perfect. My family and I enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Great location!

This house was in a perfect location and very clean! The back porch looking over the river was a perfect place to relax and have coffee!

Fabulous house!!

Rivers Edge Retreat was just perfect! We loved sitting on the back porch listening to the river and watching all the wildlife. I would 100% recommend staying here and the host is amazing!

Beautiful and peaceful setting

We had a wonderful time with the grandkids! The house had everything we needed, the river was perfect for the grandkids to play in, and the fishing was great. We will definitely love to come back.

This was our second fall stay at River’s Edge, and we plan to schedule another visit in 2026. We loved the comfort and location of the cabin the level of hospitality and cleanliness was A. We recommend the cabin and host to anyone looking for a premium experience for a few days getaway or a week of vacation in the mountains by a lovely stream with nearby points of interest and activities.

Stay at the River House

We loved the property, loved the river. We had a few little minor things that the owner promptly helped us with. The stay was great. We enjoyed the deer and humingbirds and especially the river and the porch

I absolutely loved this property! The drive into the bend was so beautiful! If you love nature, this is the place for you. As we drove in we were greeted by at least ten deer. As we got closer lots of grey squirrels. We walked in and felt like we were at grandma’s house. Cozy and comforting atmosphere. I was immediately attracted to the screened porch and deck. Outside were the hummingbirds. I’ve never had a hummingbird come so close. He was about a foot from my face. I got nervous because we were nose to nose. The sounds of the river was just what I needed to calm me. Peace found me and I couldn’t work at all. Only opened the laptop once. I needed this! The host is superb. Everything you need is provided! I particularly enjoyed the scenic guide written by the doctor. Very informative! They went the extra mile to make sure to welcome guests and it shows! We will return! It’s a favorite!

Perfect place for vacations

Such a beautiful property, it was definitely breathtaking. Our family would get in the river everyday and watch the sunsets. If you are looking for a place to vacation peacefully and connect with nature this is the home for you.

Great Vacation

My wife and kids met up with my inlaws and explored the Hayesville area. The house and yard provided a great opportunity for all of the kids to spend time together and play outside. The hosts were wonderful and quick with communication throughout the booking process and our stay.

Cozy Cottage

If you love relaxing by a cozy fire or rocking in a rocking chair on a deck overlooking a river, this is the place for you. The cottage is comfortable and well-stacked. The host is very responsive and helpful. Great place to get away and chill.

Blissful location & wonderful host

Peaceful location, attentive & communicative host. The cottage is very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. Loved sitting on the screened porch overlooking the river and throwing a line in to fish. Probably the best equipped kitchen of any vacation rental we’ve had with comfortable beds. The host truly anticipated and provided everything needed for a pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely Retreat

This was a wonderful home and great location. We had a great time with family fishing and just being together. The property was exactly as described in the listing. Beautiful place and wonderful memories made. Thank you for making it such a seamless check-in and check-out and for providing all the little extras to make sure we were well taken care of.

Peaceful and Cozy, Stargazing perfection

The property was very nice! The house had everything we needed!! The river was very beautiful, and the stars at night were amazing!! I spent hours on the back deck just staring straight up!! Will definitely return!

Slice of Heaven

This was a beautiful cottage in a simply amazing setting.If you want relaxation and tranquility, this is the spot. It was everything we hoped it would be and more! Property owner was terrific to work with. I do hope we can get back up there someday again.

A lovely weekend

The location could not be better for enjoying nature and just relaxing. There were multiple small towns very close by to peruse and enjoy shopping. Mostly I was here for relaxation so I did a lot of Porch Sitting and a little bit of road tripping. I will definitely try to come back.
