This is an amazing location loving curated by the host. It is ideally situated for those looking for a restful getaway to the North Carolina mountains. A definite 11/10. We will stay here again.

The living space is cozy and the kitchen well-equipped. With tall windows, there was lots of sunlight. We would gladly stay here again.

The Historic Thomas Chapel House was well-appointed and featured lots of lovely finishes and details. We had a wonderful stay and especially enjoyed being close to the attractions of downtown Boone and the natural surrounds. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a unique, cozy retreat while exploring the mountains and university.

Had a great time and Daniel was a great / communicative host. Everything was clean and accessible. It is close to downtown but there are no sidewalks so you’ll need to take the bus (stop is just down the road) if headed downtown / App State. Loved the spot and would stay again

My wife and I enjoyed our four night stay at this unique Vrbo. The history of the church and the renovation work done by host Daniel was inspiring. The accommodations and amenities were great. We would stay again at the Thomas Chapel, which is very close to downtown Boone, NC.

The Chapel is one of my favorite VRBOs! It was so beautiful and cozy and close to downtown Boone. It was the perfect spot to stay and visit several surrounding towns and we found some awesome waterfalls close by. We will definitely come again! Daniel was awesome!

The chapel is absolutely wonderful. Daniel's restoration is amazing. Location is great - quiet (next to a creek that is great at night) and yet so close to downtown Boone. It had every amenity that we needed and incredibly clean. Communication with Daniel was very fast and great - wonderful host. We are already planning our next trip to stay here.

Honestly five star reviews are a dime a dozen these days it seems. This home and Daniel deserve the score. Everything inside the home is intentional and deliberate and it all works together. Rather than spend the same or more on a small hotel room we were able to come back to a spacious retreat at the end of the day. It added up to a most relaxing space and vacation. The location is great too - just about 1/2 mile from town. Daniel was very much on point with communication which kept everything simple. Very pleased and we hope to return again.

This house is perfectly curated and has a fascinating history! The location is absolutely ideal if you are planning your trip around Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, West Jefferson, or other nearby towns. Literally less than 1 mile from Downtown Boone. We couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations, location, amenities, and the host. We will definitely stay here again on another adventure to Boone! Thank you, Daniel, for taking such care with this property and service to your visitors. Cannot recommend more highly! *****

This house is absolutely gorgeous. It has everything you could need, is spotlessly clean, and is in a fantastic location close to everything. We stayed while moving our son into college and even though I tried to be sad, it was impossible because I was staying in such a beautiful home. Daniel is the sweetest angel of a host ever. I cannot wait to visit this beautiful chapel house again soon. It was a perfect stay!

Lovely, semi-secluded location close to town. Beautifully restored chapel building. Very well appointed and had all the amenities. Everything seemed new. Very clean. Host does ask that dirty dishes be put in dishwasher, linens removed from the bed and trash taken out to can. Host is very good and open to answering questions.

The Thomas Chapel is such a special place to stay. Such attention to detail! Comfortable bed, well stocked kitchen, linens provided, beautiful art work. The chapel is in a peaceful location. We saw twin fawns and enjoyed the trickle of the creek that flows by the chapel. We loved reading about the history and the seeing the love poured into the renovation by Daniel. Daniel was easy to communicate with. Definitely one of our favorite stays at a rental.

Had a great time in Boone but the chapel was the best experience. Love it! Thank you Daniel for sharing this beautiful place. You did an excellent job restoring it for sure! Hope to come back and stay again! Definitely need more time in those mountains!

The best B&B we have ever stayed in! We try and find unique places and up to now our favorite was a restored old school house in Waynesville. However this chapel was much more comfortable in every way! Very spacious for the 2 of us and plenty of room to relax, cook and sleep! The bathroom is nice and large and the bed is very comfortable! It’s decorated very tastefully and the remodel that Daniel did on his family chapel was stunning! The woodwork on the ceiling is amazing! We saw deer on 3 occasions and a ground hog that entertained us for an hour! We enjoyed the gas fireplace too! The only thing I would change is better lighting in the front entrance. Maybe some lights on the stairs. Hard to see at night and we are seniors so we had to be very careful on the steps at night. Not a complaint! Just a suggestion! We will be back!

Daniel took great care of us in this beautiful historic property that has been in his family for generations. Super easy access to downtown Boone, and a gateway to other areas such as Blowing Rock and Valle Cruces. More than enough room and amenities for a romantic getaway. Would definitely stay here again!

This was the most incredible stay. What a unique opportunity it is to stay in a renovated historic chapel. We enjoyed all the amenities and beautiful Mountain View’s nearby. We will be back soon!
