Great experience overall, very walkable neighborhood. Property was just as advertised, very clean, host is very responsive and courteous. Close to shops, restaurants, Richmond Convention Center. Also across the street from GWAR Bar a huge plus!

Despite an email exchange with the host prior to our stay, we walked in to find another family was clearly staying/living in the unit. We could not reach the ‘host’ by phone. VRBO was helpful, but insisted we photograph to prove the situation. In downtown Richmond. We could have been shot or had the police called. Our trip was ruined and our kids are freaked out. Never again. VRBO needs to rethink the photo requirement in that situation. And, there were covid rapid tests on the table and in the trash.

We had a great weekend stay. Check-in was super easy and parking was no problem. The house was comfortable and in a really cute neighborhood. Broad St, coffee shops and GWARbar right nearby!

This was okay. The main areas were for the most part clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fairly well supplied with basics to do simple food prep. We needed 10 beds, which at first weren't available (they had planned on people sharing twins - no way!), but they corrected this by sending an air mattress, which I appreciated. I would definitely not rely on parking here. Half the time, someone else was in the spot we were supposed to park, so then we didn't know what to do. We ended up with two parking tickets - SO frustrating!!! We are still hopeful the host will reimburse us for this, since we only followed the given instructions, but that remains to be seen.Warning... there is a spooky basement that is open to the kitchen (spiral stairs go down to it, and can't be blocked off) that you will just have to decide to be amused by, because otherwise it's very creepy! Dark, dirty, water on the cement ground, and a menacing crawl space that my kids were sure housed a murderer! We got used to it, but it was definitely unexpected. Further note...do not come here with very little ones, because this stairway would be very easy for a little one to fall through. We did love having lots of spaces to spread out in. We liked being walkable to the free Richmond bus to the airport. The fridge was spacious and nice.

This property was exactly what our family needed: four bedrooms each with "hanging out" and eating space. The home was beautifully decorated with plenty of cozy spaces and wonderful access to downtown Richmond restaurants and theaters and oarks.out

Nice house close to downtown.

Good proximity to downtown and parking was readily available. House was well supplied. We had one issue with the upstairs AC upon arrival but the hosts were responsive and got maintenance out the very next day. Hosts were accommodating. Very pleasant stay for our business/ pleasure trip. Our 6yo loved the “circle stairs”.

Wedding weekend

Enjoyed the home, it has a lot of character. The only thing not explained well is that the room with two twin beds is actually a twin bed with a pull out trundle bed, but the room is too small to pull the trundle all the way out. They did have wi-fi but it did not work upstairs in the bedroom with the king size bed. All in all we had a wonderful weekend.

Convenient Stay for Conferences

Our recent stay at this VRBO in Richmond was convenient and comfortable for our conference trip. The location's walking distance to the convention center was a major plus, and the property itself was spacious and clean. The host was exceptionally friendly and responsive, and parking was always available right out front. However, one bedroom lacked proper blinds and faced a neighboring house's window, impacting privacy. Additionally, while the area seemed safe, it lacked amenities and vibrancy, raising slight concerns about nighttime safety. Overall, it was a pleasant stay!

Ok stay

The place had lots of room for our group of 8 for 6 days.Wasn't stocked with toilet paper. Dead batteries in the remotes. One small bath towel per person. Not really a place in for soap or shampoo in showers which caused water on floors. Highly recommend staying at the place for a week to get a feel as a guess at your property.

The house was generally fairly clean, we had to handwash all the dishes before we used them. However, when we pulled out the trundle bed there was mouse poop on it. We were in town to run different races including the Richmond marathon. When we returned to the house after the races there was a stale smell and the basement was full of water. There was no hot water (the water heater broke). The host did not send someone that day so we had no hot water for over half of our stay. The host has not offered to make the situation right and even asked us to let the plumber in (by that time we had left because there was no hot water).

Great location to enjoy Richmond from

Home was spotless. Each of the three couples had their own bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen well equipped. Nice areas to hang out and eat meals. We were issued parking passes as promised however discovered they were expired after being ticketed. The property manager has already reimbursed us for this. Excellent care taken to correct this. Would recommend this for a conveniently located home in an unpretentious historical neighborhood.

This home has so much character and is so big. The upstairs rooms were generously sized, and having 4 bathrooms is amazing. The kitchen is adorable, and so is the dining area. The family room is also super cozy! Parking was not an issue, even with 3 cars! The cars with permits always found a place to park, and the other car always found a spot close by.Wish we could have stayed longer to really spend more time at the house!

We arrived to an 84 degree home in 98 degree Richmond heat to immediately have to get ready for a wedding in the sweltering conditions.It was still not cooled by the time we returned at 11pm so checked and changed the filters which were covered and clogged.The rest of the home cooled after that except the owner suite bathroom and closet which hovered around 82-86 degrees our entire stay. That room also had 3 fans including a giant box fan there upon arrival which indicated this was a known issue and we were not made aware prior to arrival. I did contact the host and a kind maintenance person was sent but the issue was not resolved and extreme heat continued w no air flow to master BR, bath closet. Additionally, the master bath sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain despite all efforts so unusable, mold covered shower curtain, and cobwebs in the sweltering closet we had to clean to hang formal dresses. The host was responsive through the end of our stay until I asked for a concession and gave 5 days to respond with a follow up and nothing.I do not like leaving this kind of review but due to our terribly unpleasant experience would not want others to have the same.Sincerely would have preferred and tried to resolve outside of leaving this review over a five day period with no response. Proceed with caution on this property

A wonderful home in Richmond for our thanksgiving family get together

The house was just as advertised. The 8 of us had a great time in the Richmond area. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and had all of the amenities to make this s wonderful stay. Would certainly stay at this home again and would recommend this home for family groups.

Well equipped property for a group stay

This property has everything we needed for a long weekend stay. Large and well equipped, our whole group was extremely happy and comfortable. Everything we could want from kitchen supplies to bath soap and shampoo is ready for you at the home. Centrally located in Richmond, it’s a short drive to just about anywhere you would need. Parking is along the street but we never struggled to find a space for either of the cars we had with us despite coming and going multiple times. Great property, would happily stay again!
