ON THE LAKE!! The home is a spacious newly renovated home with a dock. The home is a 4 bedroom 2 bath home with a large living room and kitchen to be able to relax. There is enough room for 10 people to sleep comfortably. The home is about 15 minutes from ACU and HSU. A place to bring your whole family for lovely get-a-way!

Family gatherings

Overall it was very nice. Depending on the water. Of the lake. We would come back. The house was very nice . I am going to communicate with the owner about a few improvements he could do. Three of us were over 70 yrs old. So safety bars should be in the showers.

Nice little lake vacation

We came to town for the annual rattlesnake round up in sweetwater it was a really neat bucket list experience! Wish the water level was higher like in the photos just should have done more research about the lake on our end would definitely stay again the house was nice overall they guys even caught a few fish was a memorable weekend for sure!

Wonderful home right on the lake!

This newly remodeled home was so comfortable! We enjoyed our stay. It was close enough to town, but far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed. The dock was enjoyable and relaxing! The owners were quick and responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again!

Christmas at the Lake

We rented the lake cabin to share with three of our children and their families at Christmas. Two of the families went home at night. We enjoyed fishing, hiking, playing, and Christmas blessings during the day. The cabin was well arranged and gave our big family plenty of room. We made amazing Christmas memories in 2023!

Cute home with lovely lake view

Cute home with wonderful mattresses and a lovely lake view. There was unfortunately a bit of a bug problem though it appears they are trying to address it. The floors and kitchen counter tops had not been cleaned recently. But that didn’t put much of a damper on the weekend. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the deck at sunset.

Great House and Great Owners!

We enjoyed staying here very much, the views are great and the property manager was very accommodating and responsive. This is a perfect lake house if you plan on visiting the nearby beach or if you have a boat and want to tie up to the dock.

Lake cabin at Ft Phantom

This is a very cute home on the lake in Abilene. Completely refinished. Furnished kitchen, very roomy. They owners are very nice and have great communication. Highly recommend staying here.

need better cleaners

There were spiderwebs in every corner of the house, the house was infested with pillbugs, I look in the closet and underneath the beds and there’s was over 10000 on the floor . Sitting in the couch in the living room there was the pillbugs crawling all over the walls . Four of us got stung by wasp…. There’s wasp inside and outside of the house. The beds are entirety way to small and very uncomfortable! The room with the bunk beds was so hot my daughters couldn’t even sleep in the room.

We loved the deck. The view was awesome. My family said they would like to go back. Lots of bugs was the only drawback. But would still go back.

Cozy Cottage Outpost

Absolutely Wonderful! As a family that travels often we have come to notice the little things that make some VRBO rentals better than others. The thoughtful details and practical amenities were just the beginning of what made this cottage home perfect. The owners were amazing to communicate with and they put so much love into this rental and it showed. I have been a professional interior designer for 20+ years and I truly appreciated the clean surface choices, calming color pallet, and the cottage vibes. . We had 7 adults, 1 preschooler, and 1 infant and had more than enough room. . There is a fun rustic metal walkway that leads to a deck near the lake. Our family spent a great deal of time down there fishing and hanging out. The grandkids loved seeing the turtles, and the sunsets were beautiful. (As with any lake area, there were spiders near the rails but we just carried the broom down.) . Can't say enough good things! . We have already decide this is where we will stay next year for the festival!

Weekend fishing getaway

The house was great. Had enough room for the 5 of us and then some. It was very clean and had everything, utensil wise in the kitchen. We planned on grilling out since we saw in the listing that it had a grill. The grill was hit or miss. The grill has not been cleaned in a while and the flames would not stay on. So if your planning on grilling, you may want to have a plan B ready. The dock was great and had plenty of room to fish with at least 4 of us. My boy and his friend had fun exploring and fishing below the dock and around the edge of the lake. Beautiful view from the dock. It sits a little higher above the water but not to bad. Overall the house, property, and fishing area was good. We made some good memories here this weekend. -M

Wow!!

We arrived and the wind was blowing everything away the stepped into a gorgeous house. The pictures of this place are way off the house is even better. Only one television in the house so we got lots of visiting in. Far enough away for peace and quiet but close enough to get to things we wanted to do. The dock and outdoor place was great. Fiahing not so hot due to the weather but we all hung out on the dock. Over all great place to stay and the host were wonderful. They answered all questions at any time (hope we were not a burden). The whole family wants to go back soon.

Lake side getaway

We rented this property for a weekend getaway to check out the area for a future potential move. The kids really enjoyed the dock and being at the lake. Overall the house was gorgeous, well kept and exactly as described. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Amazing home with little touches that make a big difference. Lotion, makeup wipes, shampoo, and soap. On top of all that, priceless sunsets! A lighted dock to enjoy them. Thank you Mr and Mrs Coots for your hospitality!

Family Thanksgiving

We enjoyed the property - Great size, great space for our family of 5! The hosts communicated wonderfully and they have put a ton of work into this cute house. We LOVE the deck space and wish the weather would have cooperated a little more for us to enjoy it. The sunrise and sunset over the lake were amazing.
