The cabin was just as the pictures showed. Tons of turkey and deer were seen on the property. The fenced in yard was perfect for our pups!

Beautiful property, Close to town but private. Abundant wildlife to watch. Everything was well thought out. Pulled the cover off the grill and there was all the cooking utensils needed. Would definitely stay again.

Wasn’t sure what to expect but we REALLY enjoyed our stay at The South 40 Guest Cabin! So peaceful and private!Cute accommodations!If we find ourselves needing a place to stay new Lewistown again, we would definitely book with Steve and Ann!

This cabin is a jewel in the rough. Don't judge the finished product by the journey, once you turn off of Divide road. Because once you reach the destination you will be pleasantly surprised by this beautiful cabin and it's secluded location. Its a gem!

Beautiful cabin on 50 acres. We also enjoyed having a large enclosed yard. So the dogs could run free. Great stay !

The actual property is amazing, It's really beautiful and serene and the cabin is adorable. But be prepared getting there. We knew it was remote, but even then we were surprised by how remote and the condition of the road getting there. Don't bring your pinto! Also, while it sleeps 6, I wouldn't recommend using the upstairs twin beds for adults. The slanted roof makes it impossible to stand up fully if you're over about 5' and the stairs are very steep. My only other comment is that the only bathroom is off the master bedroom. Again, if there are more than 2 adults, you have to go through the master bedroom to get there which is a little awkward.

MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE CAN GO UP STEEP GRAVEL ROADS. DEER JUST IN FRONT OF YOU AS YOU HAVE YOUR MORNING COFFEE ON THE PORCH, NOTHING BEATS THAT. DON'T EXPECT ANY ELECTRONICS TO WORK, IT'S IN THE TOOLIES. NO TV, NO PHONES, BRING CARDS OR BOARD GAMES IF YOU HAVE KIDS. IT'S QUIET. AIR CONDITIONER WASN'T ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH THE MASSIVE HEAT, BUT THE COOL NIGHT BREEZE MADE UP FOR IT.

This was our 3rd time to this amazing property in Lewistown! Stephen is a great host! If you need anything he will get for you! We can bring our dogs and they romp around the yard! The chipmunks/ squirrels tease the dogs! We BBQ and have a fire in the evening! They provide the makings for s’more’s! We plan on going back soon!

It was as advertised, good little cabin out in the forest with no distractions. Beautiful and green and a nice little fenced yard to keep the dogs in. It was 15-20 mins from town. The beds were alright. Unfortunately we stayed when it was 95 degree days and 70 at night. The little AC worked ok for the bottom floor but the top floor was about 80-85 degrees through the night. And no screen on the upstairs window made it risky to leave it open. I think it would be fine if it was normally warm days. Worst part was the bathroom must have had a vent issue or something, the bathroom smelled like an outhouse most of the time, it was weird. Overall happy with it and great communication by the host.

clean, no nonsense cabin in a peaceful setting in the woods at the end of a fun drive up the mountainside with grazing livestock to greet you, gates to open and shut. A genuine Montana experience I'd happily repeat.

Perfect for a weekend of connecting with family. Great communication prior to arrival and although we didn’t partake, the host provided the cutest little s’more kits! What a great idea.
