Thanks for another 5 star review. We take the recommendations of our guests seriously and one thing they appreciate is a clean cabin for their stay. The cabin you stayed in is actually finished off inside with Spruce harvested from the woods right behind the and the custom walnut island in the kitchen, as well as the cedar table and benches in the downstairs guest room are all from local Mennonite craftsman. Many guests love the custom cedar railings that separate the loft bedroom from the grand living room with its picturesque chandelier. We hope to host you again! Gary and Dawn

Many thanks for taking the time to leave a detailed review of your stay. We apologize for the crumbs left in the frig, as well as the dish drainer and dishes being dirty. This has never been an issue up until now. We will have to address this with our cleaning staff to make sure this doesn't occur again. Not sure about the issues with the bugs. We do get our cabins sprayed and treated every year; however keep in mind the cabins are located in rural country fields. We try our best to control the bug problem. We are so sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay. As host we go out of our way to provide a great experience for our guest and at half the cost of some of our competitors. Many things are under our control but the weather and the local town maintenance crew are not. The yard wasn't mowed because we had an extremely wet spring and mowing when the yard is saturated creates ugly ruts and turn the yard into a motocross track. We do not like a shabby yard ourselves but we can't stop the rain nor dry the ground any quicker. We agree, it would have been nice to have the yard mowed and trimmed the same day. Secondly, these heavy rains created terrible pot holes on the road, we do agree but in a correspondence from us, you were notified that the cabin was located on a gravel road, 2 miles off the main asphalt road. In the same correspondence we indicated this is a rural area and that there are seasonal roads in the area that are only maintained for a portion of the year. The road to this cabin is maintained year round but ironically, as soon as you left, the local road crew repaired the road and it is very smooth at this point in time. So to state you were not aware of the gravel road or possible conditions is an untrue statement. We are sorry you received a flat tire but we fail to see how this is our fault and why we are being penalized for this. We have a 9.8/10 rating from many happy guest at this property. Under the prior grading system, we had over 500 five (5) star reviews since 2019. In this system that would mean 500 10/10 reviews. We believe you have given us the lowest score ever on this property. We don't mind our guest calling us out if we did something to make your stay not enjoyable but to give us 6/10 for two items out of our control isn't right. To all potential gusts, please read all of the positive reviews along with this one and determine for yourself if we are a good fit for your next vacation. Gary and Dawn
