Welcome to Lovely Day, a beautifully remodeled Sea Ranch retreat where mid-century style, original art, and sweeping moor and ocean views come together. Set in sunny Section 24, this thoughtfully designed home is just a 10-minute walk to Shell Beach and the Bluff Trail.

Relax in the sunlit living spaces, prepare meals in the custom chef s kitchen, or step onto one of three decks to take in the coastal scenery. With a private garden, hot tub, outdoor shower, and inviting spaces for gathering, Lovely Day makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the best of Sea Ranch.

Recreation Passes:
Per The Sea Ranch Association rules, we provide 2 recreation passes per rental. Each pass can accommodate up to 6 people when fully completed. If you need additional passes beyond the 2 provided, day passes are available for $5 per person, per day at the pool kiosk or the Sea Ranch Association office.

PLEASE NOTE: After your booking is confirmed, all guests are required to complete and sign the rental agreement before arrival. Additional information and instructions will be provided after booking.

Sea Ranch and Sonoma County Guidelines
Drones are strictly prohibited in The Sea Ranch.
Quiet hours must be observed between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM every day.
No outdoor amplified sound is allowed at any time, day or night.
Maximum of 3 vehicles are permitted at the home and must be parked in the driveway. No RVs are permitted.
Maximum occupancy is 6 guests for this home.

No hot water in the kitchen. Waited several minutes. One shower for four people. Beautiful views but no ocean breeze. Found someone’s sock in the master bedroom, an empty toilet roll and a hand print on one of the sliding glass doors.

We had a lovely stay at lovely day, and would absolutely return, it was the perfect size for our family of four. The only issue at all was that the front door can be tricky to open. This has apparently been an issue before (there were notes posted next to door) and should really be repaired, as we both struggled to enter and leave the house. Other than that, we had a great stay!

We loved soaking in the hot tub and taking daily walks to the seal rookery, we even saw whales slapping their tails a highlight for us. We enjoyed walks to the beach, Mass at St. Mary Star of the Sea, dining at the Thai Restaurant and St. Orres, and just relaxing with the marvelous weather. We did drive to Mendocino and had a great visit there. We were not able to use the barbecue. We did appreciate the grab bars and the many hooks for jackets.

The home, including all the furniture and art, is GORGEOUS and well equipped with everything you and your family may need. We enjoyed cooking big meals, walking along the coastline, lounging on the deck and by the fireplace, hot tub stargazing and so much more. Also, the beds are all so comfortable and the views are stunning. We were sad to leave and hope to be back soon!! 100% recommend!!

Comfortable seating areas and beds. Nice open kitchen/dining area. Loved the automated gas fireplace and the separate media room. Location of the house is close to Ohlson recreation center and Gualala. A downside was that it could have used more privacy blinds. We felt a bit exposed in the downstairs bathroom and upstairs master bedroom. The dishwasher also didn't work but we were credited for that during our stay. Overall, this house suited our small family well and we would rent here again.

Both Lovely Day and Beach Rentals are now at the top of our list. This house is a winner, particularly because it has two equally nice bedrooms - perfect for two couples, since there is no compromise needed. The kitchen is particularly good (even if some of the appliances are a bit complicated to use). Lovely Day has been recently upgraded and is in a great location.
