Our serene Chateau Solace offers an unparalleled experience with its complete seclusion and access to thousands of acres of wilderness, steps from this modern treetop gem. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature while enjoying modern comforts like a private hot tub, high speed internet and an interior-designed for ease and relaxation. Ten secluded acres serves the families looking to reconnect, writers looking for solace or best friends/wellness seekers looking for restoration.
Less than 90 minutes from Washington DC, only a short drive from Interstate 66 and 81 within minutes from the towns of Front Royal or Strasburg. Guests love Chateau Solace for its access to hiking trails, river and sky adventures, wineries and overall respite.
Walking into Chateau Solace is like stepping into a treetop castle where the high vaulted ceilings and endless natural light bring all things creativity, expansiveness and joy.
Each area has thoughtfully chosen decor to complement the window views or feel the room is going for:
- the dining room is surrounded by glass to enjoy the outdoors while sitting indoors… or take the meal out to the oversized patio table or enclosed screen area during the buggy months.
- the sitting area on the main floor by the fireplace is perfect to enjoy your morning cup of coffee from the Keurig or drip coffee, or read the news from the comfort of the L shaped couch nearby in the living room
- the primary bedroom has stargazing options and a chaise lounge to enjoy the night time sky scape
- the king sized lower bedroom is darker for those who like to sleep in and like the rest of selections, offers a cozy bed to do just that
- the queen sized lower bedroom is fun and whimsical and is set off of the lower den/living area for parents who want to sleep near the pack and play that is stowed in the nearby closet

We are so happy to share the beauty and serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains with you. Sisters Amanda and Lyndsey both grew up in this area and wanted to create a getaway for our family to connect in… and share it with you when we are in work mode ourselves. As a family, we often use it for yoga retreats, mountain biking getaways, and gathering extended family. We welcome your special memories, however you love to spend your time – with your favorite people or alone to enjoy the 10 acres of complete solitude. Completely surrounded by the George Washington Forest, Chateau Solace welcomes you and even your furry family. 🐾

A lot of love and updates have gone into this property and we hope you enjoy the choices we made to bring this dream to life. The location is approximately 25 minutes from town (Front Royal and nearby interstate 66), the property is at the back of our 10 acre plot of land, set off a gravel road, with no sounds of traffic or other humans! An easy 90 minute commute from Northern VA / DC and very close to beautiful vineyards, festivals and everything the Shenandoah Valley has to offer.
Great for anyone who loves to cook, write, read, relax…. Completely updated with mid century modern decor influences, the space is stocked with cozy blankets and thoughtful, well-appointed touches. Only 5 minutes to public boat landing on the Shenandoah River where you can kayak, canoe, SUP or tube float right down to Shenandoah River State Park! Treat yourself to the stargazing from every oversized window, scenic viewing level in this property. There are 65” or 55” TVs on each level.
Step outdoors in the landscaped patio and enjoy bird songs and zero automobile noise. Take in the tree top canopy from the brand new hot tub. Take advantage of the nearby wineries or caverns. Or explore the numerous hiking trails or even bike or hike the property itself. There’s flat and sloped topography for yard games or simply gathering in the beauty that is the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The nighttime stargazing cannot be matched with the position the house on the top of the ridge and the pano views from the top floor loft bedroom.
Beautiful shaded outdoor dining and lounge areas. Screened in areas for “buggy” months are also available.
You can lounge in complete solitude (no neighbors for miles) or walk straight off the property to link up to trails adjacent to the property.
The home is smart enabled and all electronics are loaded with latest apps.
Indoor fireplaces are on propane and available for use in the winter months.
Extra blankets are available in all bedrooms
Hairdryers are in each of the full bathrooms
Toys, telescopes and binoculars are available, as well as games and a fitness area in the left side garage.
A Bluetooth Harmon Kardon speaker is also available in the home
The birds or sun shine and sing brightly on this property. The downstairs bedrooms have something to offer for those who prefer not to rise with nature.
Last but not least, this property has hosted so many wonderful people. Yoga retreats, surprise engagements, writers finishing their best work to date. A lot of wonderful people and love have been attracted to this space and we are grateful to the goodness that keeps filling these walls.
