The Space:

An amazing, peaceful refuge, SonRise Retreat offers a tranquil, secluded setting in picturesque Mountain Tops, just a few minutes to downtown Blue Ridge.



This luxury cabin’s name is a play off of “Sunrise Gap,” the unique view that the house overlooks. Every morning, the sun rises through a gap in the mountains, creating spectacular scenes as the fog lifts and the sunshine burns off the morning dew. The vistas are expansive, with trees displaying vibrant seasonal colors – witness budding trees in springtime, flowering plants in the summer, a blaze of colors in the fall, and an occasional white blanket of snow in the winter. Have a coffee on the sun deck overlooking the valley or enjoy a very large shaded screened porch which provides a cool, breezy place to lounge, have lunch or even take a nap.

Day or night, the spacious decks provide a great place to read or chat while enjoying the views. You’ll naturally be drawn to one of the cabin’s main features – the incredible handmade stone fire pit area overlooking Sunrise Gap.



The cabin’s upscale décor features a wildlife and Western theme, including charming touches like a horse saddles, cowhide rugs and canoe-shaped bookshelf. Each room gives off an exceptional warm glow from the glossy tongue-and-groove pine. The great room’s comfy sofa surrounds the real wood fireplace (Firewood not included) and makes for a perfect place to enjoy the fire or a movie.



Meals are easy here. There’s plenty of counter space in the roomy kitchen, whether you’re making waffles, using the sandwich maker or the baking stone for pizza or a giant cookie. Enjoy your meals in the spacious indoor dinner table or venture out to the screened in porch to the eight person picnic table. Then watch the sunset melt away on one of several gliders or take in the views while playing dominos, cards, or board games on the authentic wooden hand-made domino table.



Venture to the den and game room downstairs to play pool, foosball or just relax, watching a game. The gas fireplace creates a cozy welcome when finishing a dip in the hot tub just outside the door.



Each bedroom offers luxurious mattresses and extraordinary rustic furniture. The king master suite upstairs has its own secluded, screened-in porch with a hammock and two rocking chairs for a view with total privacy. There’s also a full-sized futon in the adjoining loft space. The main floor queen bedroom suite has a high, hickory canopy bed with step stool and matching décor. The lower level bedroom features a striking queen-size Aspen log bed with moose and elk-themed bedding and décor.

Guest Access:

Guest will receive a welcome letter a week prior to your arrival with check-in instructions. This will come via email from Vacation Rentals by Ashley.



The Neighborhood:

Sonrise Retreat is located in the Mountaintops community. It’s a lovely neighborhood, quite and peaceful. There’s cell service in the cabin and gps is accurate using Waze and most map apps.



Getting Around:

The cabin is 90 minutes north of Atlanta. There are all paved roads up the mountain. The drive is scenic and easy in any car. Downtown Blue Ridge is just a short drive away. In addition there’s several food markets and a 24 hour Walmart just 10 minutes from the cabin.



Other Things to Note:

Renter must be over 25 years old. No parties, no pets or fireworks permitted.
