What an amazing house! We have been vacationing in Lake Lure since 2020 and this house has been the best yet. Excellent location near Rumbling Bald amenities (restaurant/golf/etc) and superb lake access. The flat yard to the lake made access for our group ranging from age 6 to 79 as easy as it gets. Plenty of outdoor space to find sun and shade. The house has everything you need including a chef's kitchen with double fridges and dishwashers, big screen tvs, indoor and outdoor games, bar at lake level to store drinks, and comfortable bedrooms. To top it off, Jose is an excellent host. Communication with Jose couldn't have been better which was the icing on the cake for our amazing stay.Highly recommend!!

This home was an ideal location for our out-of-town guests for our son’s wedding at Rumbling Bald. Everyone loved the amazing common areas in the home, especially the screened porch, patio and fire pit. They also loved the space between bedrooms that gave them privacy and space separate from the living areas.

I can’t say enough about this beautiful lakefront home. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views of the lake and mountains! There are several seating areas which provided ample room for our group of 11. The decor was cozy and elegant. We enjoyed morning coffee on the expansive decks and sunset views that were breathtaking. The amenities were nothing short of amazing…hot tub, pool table, shuffleboard, basketball, floats, kayaks, paddle boards , cornhole and we took advantage of them all. Never a dull moment. Great chef kitchen and the fire pit added a special touch for evening s’mores! The kids had a blast! Our host, Jose, was very welcoming and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Our stay was just plain WONDERFUL!

Excellent Host

I have stayed at this property twice and it is my favorite on the Lake. Less than a 5 minute walk to Legends on the Lake and Bald Mountain Golf Course or a 3 minute Kayak paddle. Beautiful views and a beautiful home! The lake is in the process of rebuilding (as of May 28,2025) but Jose and his family take care of their renters well and we had a great time!

July 4 vacation

The home is lovely! We enjoyed most the paddle boards, porch and front row view of the fireworks on July 4th. The kitchen was very well stocked and beds were comfortable. The new renovation was a great addition. Jose was readily available and easy to communicate with him.

Definitely enjoyed our stay! The house has wonderful lake views with a large dock. Multiple paddle boards, a canoe and a kayak are available to use. Kitchen was recently remodeled and looks amazing. The screened in porch overlooking the lake and pool table got lots of use. Thanks for the great vacation!

Like Lure getaway

Great stay at Lure-a-palooza. Stayed with two families of four and took pure enjoyment in the home, amenities, and direct lake access. Adjacency to the resort made carry-out dinners simple. Leveraged the sonos speaker box - think the owner has some fun surprises on their Spotify! Hope to return.

Amazing place

My family and I have rented this home on 4 separate occasions and enjoy it more with each visit. The house, yard, and view offer everything needed for a perfect Lake Lure experience. Our children (6, 9& 11) love the paddle boards and kayaks, the “s’more making” fire pit and shallow entry areas of the lake that allow everyone to relax, swim and play. Having stayed on busier areas of the lake, this quiet corner is far superior. We love the open kitchen and dining areas. Last year we had several families stay around the lake and all gathered at Buffalo Shoals to share meals and memories in the upstairs living area. Our family will definitely return.

Thank you!

We had a magnificent time at your beautiful lake house. College roommates from Miami University came together. Your home was the perfect place to celebrate 30+ years of friendship. The most magical backdrop of our favorite lake & mountains. We can't wait to come back. You have stocked the home with everything we needed & more. We too are VRBO owners so have high standards & this home went above & beyond our expectations!! Grateful!!

Property & Lake Lure is Magic

Everything regards property was great. Suggestion - paint outer wall of driveway darker color-very difficult to distinguish when turning car around. Local restrictions and regulations tough (lake restrictions). Have to hire outside venders to anything (no pulling people on anything).

Beautiful, spacious home with large yard and many accommodations! 10/10 recommend!

We could not have asked for a better place to rent for the weekend with family friends and 6 children! The house is beautifully updated with spacious living areas- even when it rained briefly, we were all comfortable inside. We loved the large lakefront yard, yard games, fire pit for s’mores, paddle boards and floating lily pad. The kitchen is well stocked with ample seating for everyone. Two dishwashers and two refrigerators in the main kitchen were such a perk so we could store all of our groceries easily. We also loved the proximity to Legends on the Lake and Rumbling Bald. Jose could not have been a more accommodating host and went out of his way to speak to my husband about where to rent a pontoon boat in advance. Highly recommend this beautiful and spacious home! We can’t wait to stay again!

PERFECT house!

This house is incredible. 6 stars if it were possible. The only house in Lake Lure that has a big grassy lawn and no stairs needed to get to the lake. The outdoor area is all on the same level -- which was perfect for those with mobility issues including our 80 year-old grandmother and our toddlers. Fully equipped with 4 SUPs, kayak, canoe, inner tubes, floats, umbrellas -- everything you need. Plus a floating "lily pad" that the kids played on for hours! The inside was immaculate. All bedrooms were modern, comfortable, and clean. The kitchen had everything our extended family needed, two fridges, two dishwashers (very helpful when cooking for 12!). Game room had shuffleboard, pool table, wet bar. It felt like we were staying in a mansion! The owner Jose was super responsive and helpful with everything -- the best VRBO host we've ever had. We've rented houses all over the world (including several in Lake Lure) and this was the best house we've ever stayed at!

5-Star Review: An Unforgettable Stay at Lake Lure

We celebrated my wife Jodi's 50th birthday at this incredible property, and it exceeded all expectations. The house is perfectly designed for large groups. We had four families, 12 guests in total, with room for three more kids. Despite the size of our group, the layout ensured plenty of space, and the house never felt crowded. The views from every angle—the screened-in patio, the large kitchen table, and the primary suite—are simply breathtaking, offering stunning panoramas of the lake, mountains, and marina. The outdoor area was a highlight for all ages. The property’s prime location attracted rental boats to float nearby, and the calm waters were perfect for swimming and relaxing off the dock. The flat grassy yard was ideal for yard games and lounging, providing a great space for the kids to play while the adults enjoyed the scenery. Jose is an outstanding host—responsive, attentive, and committed to ensuring a memorable stay. His care for the property is evident in every detail. If you're looking for a perfect place to gather with loved ones, this is it. Our weekend was truly epic, and we can't wait to return!

Great living space for group with the best views!

We loved our stay here. The upstairs living space is great for groups with two large tables to spread out for meals and games/puzzle. The couch is large and cozy and the gas fireplace was a huge bonus on the chilly mornings. The kitchen is so well equipped - best of all rentals I have stayed in! The appliances were all brand new. 2 fridges and 2 ovens came in handy! The large picture window at the seating table by the fridge was the best - lovely view of the lake and mountains! Fun to watch the boats come in and out of the marina as well as the people on the resort beach across the way. The master bedroom and bath upstairs is so spacious. Smaller rooms downstairs, and the two bathrooms are side by side in the hall. Only downside was one bedroom was further away from the bathrooms across the pool table room. Kids loved the basketball hoop outside, and they were able to play even with cars in the drive. The backyard firepit by the lake is lovely and the dock with lounge chairs was fabulous. Will have to come back in the Summer!

Amazing location, well-equipped modern home, great for groups

I stayed this beautiful Lake Lure home with a group of 12 women. It was difficult to find a home that can fit 12 at a table, but this dining room was perfect. Living room was comfortable for everyone to gather. Plenty of space around the house for everyone to sprawl and have some privacy. The bedding and bathroom situation is tight for 12 adults, but Jose helped by offering an air mattress (very comfortable) and futon in the master. House would be best suited for a large family or two. The location is unbeatable. It was so nice to take the kayak and canoe out for a short bit without having to drive to rent! Sunrise and sunset paddleboarding are both easy too. There's also an option to have a pontoon delivered and docked for longer stays. Driving distance to some local restaurants and a market, though we did our shopping on the drive from the airport. Kitchen has everything you could ask for, though the cabinets could use some labels. Appreciated having a ton of beach towels ready to go. I've rented many vacation homes, and Jose is easily the most responsive host I've communicated with, even at odd hours of the day. The only notable cons: one bed frame was broken, which we were notified about just before the stay - made for a few uncomfortable nights; getting garbage bins into their cage was a workout since the bins are a bit taller than the cage; dirt in downstairs sink; host messaged me about some stained sheets before the cleaners had even attempted to wash.

We took a family trip to this beautiful home and had the best week!! The house is immaculate and has a great set up for kids and adults. The kitchen is grand and stocked w/ all the equipment- fun to cook in and easy for a big group. The yard, lake and hot tub along with the paddle boards, canoes, games, pickleball and tennis right across the way kept everyone busy! The screened porch was popular and best w/ coffee or an afternoon nap or a drink after dinner. No one wanted to leave. We all want to go back! Very friendly community and low stress vacation! The best of both worlds b/t being active and plenty of time to relax in a gorgeous setting with beautiful views. It is hard to find a spot to keep all ages happy, but this home nailed it! We loved it and the owners are awesome! Told them I would not change one thing and we are grateful they share this spot with others! Can’t wait to go back!!
