MCRD Parris Island Grads & Families: Bungalow by the Bay in Beaufort Beaufort SC

Tastefully updated with comfortable furnishings, Fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer, living room with dining area to seat six, family room with Smart TV, main bedroom with Smart TV (there is NO cable for tvs), attached bathroom & closet, two additional bedrooms share a bathroom, carport, front porch, screened side porch, back deck, large back yard, fire pit, gas grill, fully fenced front and back yards. Smart systems in place including Smart door locks, Honeywell Smart thermostat, WiFi, and Simplisafe security system, Please note that the front porch does NOT have railings and is approx. 30" from the ground, the family room floor has a slight slope to it as it was once a back porch, bathtubs/showers do not have grab bars. There are 3 SimpliSafe exterior cameras, two Ring doorbells (Simplisafe & Ring record motion and sound), no cameras inside the house.

10-minute walk to Historic Downtown Beaufort and the Bay, Waterfront Park, The Point with antebellum mansions, museums, cemeteries, churches, art galleries, ice cream shops, restaurants, bars, antique stores, clothing shops, home decor stores, and beautiful Beaufort River views.

15 minute drive to Parris Island for MCRD graduations, 25 minute drive to Hunting Island (parking pass included) for beaches, historic lighthouse, visitor center, walks & nature. 5 minute walk to the Spanish Moss Trail for walking, biking and running, 10 minute drive to Cypress Wetlands for wildlife including gators, turtles and birds, 10 minute drive to Shell Beach for shark tooth hunting, 15 minute drive to Penn Center for Gulluh and African American History, one and a half hour drive to Charleston, one hour drive to Savannah and Hilton Head, 45 minute drive to Bluffton. So much to see and do!!!

We all enjoyed our stay visiting my great nephews graduation from the Marines. The house was beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. It was wonderful sitting in the backyard having the kids play in the backyard. The house was very beautiful, stylish and clean. Had no issues checking in or out. I would definitely stay there again if I’m in the area. We all had a great time. Thank you so much for a beautiful home.

If you are going to Parris Island this house is perfect. Just a few blocks from the main road to the base. This house is immaculately clean and the kitchen has everything you need to cook a Thanksgiving meal. The pass to the state park saved us a bunch and the beach was beautiful! The beach chairs were awesome to take to the base for visiting day and to the beach. Beautifully decorated and room for everyone. Three areas outside to relax including a screened in porch in the evening. Seriously this house is perfect!!!

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay! House was clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. I wish we would've allotted more time to spend in Beaufort. We spent most of our time in Charleston and Savannah, but it looked like there were places I would've liked to explore near the house. Cute downtown area and close to the water.

Sibling gathering for Mom’s 90 th Birthday

Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. 3 beautiful bedrooms and plenty of room, we enjoyed the backyard in the evening. Everything was supplied for our extended weekend stay. Super clean and comfortable

Bungalow by the Bay was a wonderful surprise. Lovely, comfortable and stocked with every amenity you could possibly need. Within walking distance of Bay Street and great restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

We loved the location , close to town. The yard was beautiful The house was perfect for our little group to enjoy each others company. The host left snacks and water that we really appreciated. Would stay there again and again.

A Hidden Gem

This home is so fun and relaxing. The minute you walk in you feel comfortable. It is an easy stroll to Bay Street and we found the neighborhood to be very quiet. We hope to go stay there again soon.

Charming and comfortable!!!

We had 6 of us there for 4 days and the house was so cute!! It was decorated for Halloween which was a nice touch! The house is located in a nice neighborhood on a very quiet street. It had everything you could need for a family to be able have a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well stocked with everything, even spices! Highly recommend!!

Perfect place

We needed a place to stay close to Parris Island for our Marine's graduation. This bungalow had rooms and beds for everyone, it was exactly what we needed! Luckily it was well stocked, we had forgotten some basic items but to my surprise the home had everything we needed and more. If I'm ever in the area for another graduation I will be booking this bungalow again!

Delightful ranch with a comfortable layout

The Bungalow by the bay was such a lovely place to enjoy our family time together. Our son graduated from the Marine corps and it was a very comfortable place to unwind from the ceremonies. The layout is cozy and allows enough space for everyone to relax and still be present. Kelsey was great with communication and the home was well appointed with everything you would need for a relaxing time away from home.

Beaufort is a nice vacation destination

The property is nice. The house is decorated so nicely, was very clean, and we had all that we needed for a week long stay. The neighborhood is quiet and there’s not much traffic on this side street. The backyard is pretty private. Over the course of a week, we never saw or heard any neighbors other than one day we saw the neighbor readying his boat. We loved our stay in Beaufort. A carriage ride in the residential area was fun and we learned a lot about local history. We explored Port Royal, Hilton Head, Hunting Island, and spent a day in Charleston. It was a perfect vacation and we chose a great VRBO property!

We live in Johnson City, Tennessee and we love the South, and the Lowcountry in particular. We like good food (who doesn’t?!) and trying all the restaurants in the area. Like you, we love to travel. So many places to see… so little vacation time! We always enjoy spending time in Beaufort SC and the Lowcountry and think you will too.

We chose Bungalow by the Bay because it’s comfortable and cozy and gave us a good feeling from the moment we stepped inside. We love that it has both a living room and a family room so everyone can spread out. We love the front porch, the screened side porch, the back deck, the fire pit, and the large fenced backyard for enjoying the nice weather. We have established Camellia trees, Azalea bushes and a wonderful-smelling Gardenia bush, among others, and we try to add some tropical foliage as often as we are there.
The neighborhood is very quiet as are the neighbors and we love that we can walk to the historic downtown area in 10-15 minutes.

The house is fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay: fully equipped kitchen, toiletries, beach towels, chairs and umbrellas, even Kleenex! A 10-15 minute walk takes you to the Historic Downtown area for all the great restaurants, shops, Waterfront Park, marina and bay, beautiful mansions, historic churches, and interesting cemeteries and graveyards. So much to see and do in Beaufort. Scenic 15 minute drive to Parris Island. We host lots of families who are coming in for their child's or relative's MCRD graduation.
