Peaceful Living - Minutes from Blue Ridge, hot tub, pool table

A sunroom with a seasonal mountain view and the living room with a gas log fireplace welcome you as you enter our Blue Ridge cabin rental for up to 7 guests. A sleeper sofa, a TV with cable and a DVD/VCR hookup, plus an additional twin daybed in the sunroom are all located in the living area.

A 4-person dining table and all the amenities of home are included in the fully furnished kitchen. A full bathroom and a queen bed are both in the main-level bedroom, which also has a TV. Enjoy the wonderful mountain air by stepping outside onto the open decks! The second king suite is located upstairs and has a TV and a full bathroom with a jetted tub. You'll adore this primary suite's private balcony as well.

Go downstairs to the unfinished basement where there is a game room with a pool table and ping pong table. Additionally, a third finished bedroom with bunk beds and a full bathroom is located here. On the lower deck, step outside and relax in the 5-person hot tub. For those of you who enjoy a good steak or burger over the grill, we have also provided a charcoal BBQ here on the deck! Please remember to bring your charcoal. Internet access is available at Peaceful Living via Wi-Fi.

Amazing Stay in Blue Ridge!Great stay! The cabin was absolutely amazing. We spent 6 days there and had an incredible time from start to finish. The comfort of the cabin made it feel like a true home away from home, cozy beds, warm chimney, and everything we needed to relax.The location was perfect as well: peaceful, scenic, and close enough to town for anything we needed. Whether we were enjoying morning coffee on the deck, exploring the trails, or winding down by the chimney , every moment was memorable.We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Definitely secluded

Property was very clean however very dated and needs a facelift. King size bed was very hard. Very spacious. Hot tub was great!

Great Bachelor Weekend

Great cabin & get away for my son's Bachelor get-together before his wedding next month. Spent the weekend grilling great meals (lots of meat & seafood), playing poker & pool and reliving old memories of their growing up together. Nice relaxing place. The basement was a little low on lighting so they pretended not to see when I won at both pool & ping pong. Hot tub was great as well. Thanks for an enjoyable weekend with my sons & his groomsman!!!

Thanksgiving weekend

Only issues were the site stated a sleeper sofa but we didnt have one and the other issue was the leaves in the driveway, we had to sweep before we could make it down the steep driveway

Relaxing Magical Christmas vacation

Every year I rent a Cabin so I can build lifelong memories with my children and grandchildren. The Cabin was perfect. The only suggestion would be to swap the pool table to where the ping pong table is so you can actually shoot pool from all four sides. Also if they would add window covering that you can close at night in the sunroom for privacy. Outside of that we had an amazing time. Very close to many other places to explore. Plenty of places to shop and eat. If you want to get away I highly recommend.

Weekend birthday trip

We booked this cabin for my son's 14th bday and brought some of his friends, the pool table and ping pong table was perfect for them! The driveway is very steep, but the top gravel driveway made it alot easier for parking, it needs to be graded though. The house is pretty dated but clean! Kitchen is well stocked. The master bedroom bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The bunk room in the basement was ok but it got cold at night and the basement bathroom is a little sketchy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the house served us well.

Approach with Caution

This property once inside is great as a 2 bedroom 2 bath. The basement, third bedroom and bath should be excluded in the listing as well as the hot tub. The stairs to the basement were not to code, exposed raw lumber and steep. The third bath did not have enough water pressure to wash your hands. This made access to the pool table, third bedroom, ping pong and hot tub undesirable. After 2 days trying to get the hot tub to heat past 92, we gave up. Access to the property in general was a challenge. The steepness of the drive along with no access to the house once you got down the drive was unpleasant. The upper recommended parking was partially inaccessible, poorly maintained and should be listed as 4X4 access only. The photos posted implied smooth level access and it was not close to that. Gutters were not maintained so rain overflowing prevented the doors from being left opened due to splatter. My biggest frustration in these are all item noted by other guest over 2+ years and never addressed. I will not recommend this property and suggest avoiding Cotton Wood properties altogether.

Nice house and good location!

We enjoyed the stay! Nice house and good location. The house was convenient to the Apple Festival, Mercier Orchards, and other events! Good time!

Not enough communications

Love the cabin and location, close to near restaurants and grocery stores, had some issues with some plumbing leaks and couldn't use one of main bathrooms but enjoyed the stay anyway

Sleeping arrangements weren’t great.

The property was fine. We ended up making a pallet out in the sunroom area because it was really cold in the basement. There is no heat or carpet downstairs. It is kind of scary. The door that leads out back to the hot tub looked like someone had tried to break in. There are no curtains in the sunroom. We were only at the cabin at night so it was fine for us. But would have really liked to use downstairs space for sleeping as well.

Could Be Better

Overall the stay wasn't bad. The main dislikes was the basement door that leads outside looked like it had been kicked in and all that has been done to fix it is add a small lock to the door. (that could easily be opened) This door is right next to the kids beds, so I would not recommend staying if you are bringing children and want to feel safe. (since the master bedroom is on the second floor!) The driveway is also so steep it is basically unusable and I would not try going down it.

Not a good stay

Just okay

I don't think the price and security deposit this cabin requires is fair. Some big issues for me included: all of the mattresses were hard, rat poop in kitchen drawers, roaches found in the bathroom and couch, pet hair on the recliners (listed as no pets allowed) , hot tub did not get "hot" , no lights in the bedroom. There was a lamp in the bedroom and a closet light but it wasn't enough to see good. The unfinished basement was fun in regards to the ping pong table and pool table but the pool table was in a bad spot and there is no heat. My daughter was excited about the bunk beds pictured and wanted to sleep down in that room but she would have froze. The balconies were nice. I wish I had more good things to say about the property.

Family Christmas Vacation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Cabin had enough room and things to do: pool table, ping pong table and hot tub. Disliked the driveway, parking spot and stairs entering the Cabin. When it rains or snow it's very unsafe! My brother is disabled and have difficulty walking and I use a cane the majority of the time. I feel that this property should list these things. Cabin had a lot of spider and cobwebs in the corners,along the base boards, windows and doors. The basement/garage area was very cold where the recreational items were located. I had to go purchase a heater just so that my family could play pool and ping pong. I feel the Cabin should have provided a heater. I would not rent this property again for my family; but I will still look for other properties to rent. Because the staff and office personnel were very polite and understanding and easy to work with.

Everything we needed

The cabin had everything we needed! The hot tub was great! We stayed very warm. My only complaint is the mattress in the downstairs bedroom is terrible!!!

Good in a difficult situation

Property management was great during a wind storm that caused the power to be out for several days. Nice cabin but if you have a hard time walking, it is not easily accessible.

Perfect Fall Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The kids had a few days off of school, so we headed up to Blue Ridge and this cabin was great. The location is very convenient to get to downtown BR quickly and we also got to explore McCaysville which is only about 10 minutes north as well and has shops and restaurants right on the river. We also got out one day for horseback riding close by and took the kids to one of the apple orchards which was a lot of fun. The cabin is far enough off the beaten path that its quiet and feels secluded. The basement 'gameroom' was the perfect place for the kids to play and give us a little peace and quiet. My only recommendation would be to finish and close off the basement and update the bedding and the TVs. Most of the remotes didnt work and it was tough to figure out the cable. Overall, we had a great time and the cabin fit our needs for a great getaway from the city. Thank you!
