Refined Living Surrounded by Beautiful Scenery and Amazing Wildlife

Welcome to our refreshing getaway on the Payette River in beautiful Garden Valley only 1 hr from Boise! Our new, tastefully furnished cabin is an ideal couple's retreat, girls'/guys' weekend or family getaway from the city. Explore the area or stay in and watch the snow fall, cozied up by the fire with some coffee and a good book!

A scenic nature trail along the river and 9 private stocked ponds to fish!

The Space
Completed in 2022, this modern 3 BR/2 BA cabin has a split master floor plan with a large open common area and all the amenities to relax and make lifelong memories. Highlights include the wood burning stove set into a custom river rock and stone fireplace, an 8' long live edge white oak dining table handmade by your host, tongue and groove pine natural finish ceilings, and stunning images of the surrounding landscape by local photographers.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire home. This includes the laundry room, pantry, and garage. We have tried to label and set aside our personal things as much as possible, but we do split our time between Boise and Garden Valley, so we ask that you please ask if there is something accessible that you are unsure whether it is for private or public use.

This home was LOVELY and the setting was just gorgeous. I sat on the porch daily, in awe of the scenery. The community is quiet, the nights were peaceful, the walks were beautiful. It was exactly the stay we were seeking.

We had such a nice stay at Travis & Ashley’s! They were such great hosts & their place had everything we needed, was sweetly decorated, and felt like home from the moment we stepped in. And the location was awesome! Was so peaceful, surrounded by nature & wildlife, yet only a few minutes from the lovely town of Crouch/Garden Valley which has awesome places to eat & drink (must try Tante Emma for dinner, Wild Bill’s for breakfast, Mud Room for coffee & Dirty Shame for drinks & pizza!). Plus there is a nice grocery store (Garden Valley Market) with whatever you need for your stay. One of the best VRBOs we have ever stayed. Thank you Travis & Ashley!

This home was exactly what we needed for a quick weekend in Garden Valley to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. The location, space, cleanliness and views were awesome. We will certainly be returning here when coming to visit my parents in the future.

Escape from the Texas Heat

The cabin was very clean and comfy with beautiful natural surroundings and views. It was a perfect central location for our day trips and adventures (hiking, fly fishing, white water rafting...). We would definitely book again.

Perfect little getaway!

We came up for a quick girls trip and as soon as we walked in the house, it felt like home. The decor and design is so unique! The location and views are an added bonus. We even were visited by a family of deer! We weren’t there long enough, so I’ll definitely be back for a longer stay!

Nice, relaxing trip

We met friends in Garden Valley for a relaxing getaway. The hosts provided a beautiful home that was very clean. I loved the decor and the floor plan and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch each evening. We would stay again if we are ever back in Garden Valley.

Excellent place! Watched California quail feed in the yard, turkeys feeding and roosting in the large pine out back, Swainson's hawk hunting in the flats, and mule deer feeding out front EARLY one morning. Travis was responsive, helpful, and accomodating.

Very nice! Beautiful, clean home. Comfortable and relaxing! Great patio and porch to help you relax. Close to a great park with walking trail in Crouch and the Starlight Mountain Theater. Owner is very responsive and nice. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again

Fantastic getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in South Fork Landing. The layout and interior decor are charming and comfortable. We enjoyed seeing and hearing the wildlife, including deer, songbirds, and even turkeys calling from the woods. We're so glad we brought our bicycles to ride through the neighborhood and along the scenic trails. We'll definitely be spending more time in South Fork Landing, Garden Valley, and Crouch.

Honeymoon

We stayed here for our honeymoon. It was beautiful and very clean. It snowed a lot but it was so wonderful to sit and watch the snow fall with a warm fire going. Saw Elk and a golden Eagle. The owners Travis/Ashley were great to work with. Easy to find and get too. Will definitely do it again.

Idyllic Mountain Retreat

How fitting that while my immortal avatar in the 2004 strategy classic Rome: Total War (the venerable Nicholanus Garcianus) was directing a hasty retreat across the Gallic countryside into the safety of the Alpine mountains (swarms of Gaulish troops hot in his heels), I likewise should find comfort and security in this Idahoan mountain countryside retreat. The views were scenic, the property properly manicured, and the dinner fare more than fair. My wife and I enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

Nice little get-a-way into the mountains

We had a lovely time in this little get-a-way place. The views were wonderful and the home was just what we wanted as in a VRBO rental. The area is a new build location so there is some construction going on around, but was very quite on the weekends and evenings. We did have rewash all the dishes and silverware as we noticed many of them still had some grease on them from the last guest. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and had some great memories captured as a family.

Lovely home away from home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay in this pretty, clean and quiet 3 bedroom home located just ten minutes from our goddaughters wedding held in nearby Crouch at Sixty Chapel. The king bed was comfy and since we ended up not having any of our adult kids stay with us, we loved having the use of both beautiful bathrooms to get ready for the wedding. The views from the front porch with our morning coffee were even more fun when a huge flock of turkeys cruised by! Didn't use the kitchen or laundry since our trip was so quick so I cannot elaborate except to say the fridge was clean and ready for our few groceries. We would definitely recommend!!

Clean and welcoming

Clean, pleasant house. Sofa and chairs in the living room are not very comfortable for relaxing. No other furnishings in the bunk room means an adult in the room must use a chair for placing anything next to bed. No luggage rack in this room, however, it is understandable because it is meant for children. The cleanliness was very appreciated as well as the of ease of use of the home.Much appreciated having hangers available for clothes No window coverings on the front windows was a bit uncomfortable, even light curtains would be nice. A pleasant stay overall.

This home is very clean and inviting. It is in a quiet neighborhood, so if you are expecting a stay in the woods with privacy, look elsewhere. The neighborhood has a strict 15MPH speed limit, so it is great for children and for walking the dirt roads in the neighborhood. The home has no homes out the back patio, so you can see deer and prairie dogs in your backyard. The neighbors are very close, however at the time of this review, there is a vacant lot on the other side of the house. The home is within walking distance to the South Fork Salmon River. And it is a quick drive the the one and only grocery in Crouch. Travis and Ashley were quick to communicate back.

We put down roots in Idaho a few years ago with our 3 growing girls. Travis owns a restoration company, while Ashley leads the Collective homeschool co-op. We love living in Boise's Northend between the Esther Simplot Whitewater Park and the Ridge to Rivers trail system. Some of our favorite things include traveling, rock climbing, skiing, fly fishing, soccer/football, good books and delicious food!

Our cabin in Garden Valley is only an hour away, providing year-round access to the mountains! It's our pleasure to share our second home with you when we are in Boise or exploring new areas ourselves. Herds of elk, migrating birds, local hot springs, world class rafting and fishing, and a wood-burning stove await!
