The Steeple sidder på et af de højeste sæt af capes på øen ..... storslået !! Vi er en meget eftertragtede 4. 5 Stjernetildeling med Canada Select / PEI Tourism.

The Steeple Cottage er beliggende på den smukke halvø Point Prim i østlige PEI. 'The Steeple' er tæt på halvøens ende og væk fra vejen med .7 km, der sidder højt på kapperne og kigger over Hillsborough og Orwell Bays. Direkte adgang til miles af afsondret strandlinje. Fantastisk til svømning, kajak og strandkørsel! Du har din egen private strand beliggende i klippen på vej ned til kysten.
Vores hovedstad Charlottetown er en nem og behagelig 30 minutters kørsel. Livlig downtown. Teater, resturants og natteliv.
Steeple har et par km af skovstier for hyggelige efterårsture.

Steeple Cottage

We loved our time at this cottage! It is beautiful inside. The location is quiet and secluded. We went kayaking and saw several seals! It was very difficult to access the kayaks from under the steps while walking on big uneven rocks. We did not walk on the beach because of all the uneven rocks on the beach.

You will love staying here

The house is amazing. The character and everything you need is there. The ability to Kayak is fantastic. I saw a seal when I was out Kayaking. The host is amazing and able to answer any questions. If you stay here, you will enjoy it.

Exploring PEI

We spent a week at this property It was a perfect place to be able to explore and enjoy Prince Edward Island. The accommodations were very nice, the property was incredible with the view of the water, birds and even a fox. The owner made it extremely easy to reach her. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

Great Stay

The Steeple Cottage is a great place to come and stay for a relaxing vacation and as a home base for the east of PEI. Melody was a great host, easy to communicate with and thorough in her guidance on use of the equipment at the house and her suggestions for what to see and where to eat. The house is certainly one of a kind, and the location and with a beach area and ability to get down to the water. We were also able to make good use of the steeple lounge area. The house has everything you need, including kitchen utensils, towels, and W/D.

Great Location

Private. Steps to play in the water and steps to the rooftop to watch the stars!! The cottage has everything you need for a wonderful and romantic getaway from the fast lane.

Beautiful escape with views that never end

Warm and cozy part of PEI. The property was perfect for a couple. The rooftop deck for morning coffee or an evening drink was truly a fairy tale setting, just beautiful! And, our hosts were as warm as the setting!

Steeple Cottage- A Slice of Heaven!

The property was gorgeous and peaceful! Melody is a friendly, accommodating and easily accessible host. Drinking our morning coffee on the rooftop each morning, overlooking that incredible view- just amazing!! We definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Terrific time

Checked all the boxes. Enjoyed golf nearby, kayaking in the Northumberland, and biking to the pub /restaurant at the point. Place I spotless and interesting. Sunsets and breakfasts at the top of the steeple were great. Highly recommended.

Sweet solitude

The Steeple Cottage was just what I needed to get away from it all. It was unseasonably cold during our stay so we were able to enjoy the view, local artisans at Kro in The Skye and Belfast Mini mills. Everyone we met welcomed us. Mel has created a truly special cottage by the sea.

The Perfect Escape

The Steeple Cottage is enchanting, the veiws spectaular, and Melody is a gracious host! We spent close to a week at this wonderful place and truly did not want to leave. The cottage is so comfortable and homey. The views of the water are incedible. A hummingbird flew right up while I relaxed with a book. We cannot say enough about how welcoming and helpful Melody was. We will definetly return.

Perfect private magical getaway

The owners are very welcoming and at the same time very respectful of your privacy. If you want the coziest, prettiest getaway and want to feel like you are alone on the island, the Steeple is perfect. Loved, Loved, loved our stay!

Beyond our expectations

Everything about The Steeple Cottage and Mel exceeded all our expectations! After a week of busy travel, spending the last week of our vacation here was the perfect decision. The cottage is surrounded by nature! From the wildlife, to the ocean, to nights on the roof top deck, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing get away! The cottage had everything we could possibly need and more ! Mel was an amazing host, making sure we were all settled in and giving us tips on local things to see/do. We didn’t turn the tv on once while we were there, we were too busy kayaking, sitting at the beach, seaglass collecting, exploring the area and just unwinding. Definitely recommend The Steeple Cottage and would love to go back soon. Thanks for everything Mel.

Garden of Eden

We stayed for our honeymoon, and this was truly an island Paradise. Mel has taken care of every last detail and provided everything you need, without wasting space in anything you don't! There were two old pedal bikes to ride down the point, two kayaks to paddle out to secluded waters, a brand new grill, a rooftop overlook for watching the sunrise and sunset, great views, great privacy, great everything. We will definitely try to come back for our anniversary. Amazing place to stay!

Beautiful...stunning...secluded...restful...rejuvenating

PEI is the land of stories and now we too have our own PEI stories and the Steeple Cottage plays a large role in those stories (and memories). When we first entered the Steeple Cottage the sun was shining in through the old refurbished church windows, illuminating the insides with natural light. We looked at each other, knowing we had made the right choice for our vacation. It was beautiful; one might even say it was literally breath taking. As we spent the next week there we came to appreciate even more the unique features of the cottage whether it was the view from the bell tower, the unique king size bed in what we came to call affectionately the “cave” with its beautiful painted murals, the outside “chubb tub” and shower, or the great indoor shower. We took great delight in all its unique features whether it was sipping that first morning coffee while looking out through those magnificent old church windows across the Northumberland Strait as the sun slowly lit up the seascape, catching the occasional shooting star as we sat upon the bell tower gazing dreamily up at the night sky, watching the local resident bald eagle glide upon the air currents above, or walking at low tide digging for claims (mostly unsuccessfully) but mostly enjoying the walking and talking with no one around in a remarkably beautiful and secluded setting. One of the best surprises was the outdoor tub. I confess we both found it shall we say somewhat odd (really – a tub outside) but after my first “bath” laying there in the warm water as the sun shone down upon me, well I was hooked and so was my partner. We both loved simply laying in that tub in the afternoon with the light shining down upon us before the sun disappeared behind the trees. While there were kayaks and bikes to be used, we opted for a more quiet and uneventful stay. We simply enjoyed the time to unwind in the seclusion that the Steeple Cottage offered. In a world of franticness it offered us an island of tranquility and we made sure we made the best use of our time there to unwind. It was a time of rest, rejuvenation and provided the perfect opportunity for us to step outside our busy lives and reconnect. Mel and Val were the perfect hosts. They were always there to answer our questions, or occasionally would check in with us to see if there was anything we needed while remaining respectful of our space and time, never intruding. I hope we can return there again next year.

This is a comfortable property in a beautiful location. Highly recommended. Unique building with steeple to view water. Well equipped kitchen. Close to a great restaurant.

Incredible Oasis

This was our first trip in many years. We were not disappointed. The cottage is amazing and provides everything you need for a wonderful experience. The property is gorgeous and the owners very friendly and helpful-Mel and Val are amazing! Mel and Val have truly provided a once in a lifetime experience; they have not forgotten a thing! We highly recommend a vacation to this island paradise! The outside shower and bathtub was an amazing experience. The serenity, solitude and privacy were of utmost importance to us and the Steeple delivered! Well Done!

No ordinary place

After reading all the reviews there really isn't much we can add. They simply state the truth about this place and the hosts. If you need a break from the rat race at home or some time to reconnect with the one you love, this truly is the place that can make that happen. Thank you Melody and Val for sharing your little piece of paradise.

Perfection!

We came to Prince Edward Island for our 40th wedding anniversary and we could not have found a more romantic place to stay! The steeple cottage was amazing with so many unbelievable details. We felt like we stepped out of the real world into a fairytale one. We loved watching the amazing sunsets and having campfires after the sun went down. We would walk the shoreline and did some kayaking and the red cliffs come alive with brilliant color at sunset. We would sit on the rooftop deck and the screened steeple room for all of our meals and just to relax and have a drink and look at the amazing view. We took time to explore the island and to go play on the wonderful beaches but we would always look forward to the time when we could be "home". We have done a lot of traveling and staying in VRBOs and B and Bs and there really has never been another place like this one! Thanks Mel and Val for being such friendly and caring hosts and for sharing this wonderful place with others. What a gift you are giving to us! Amazing Privilege

We recently had the amazing privilege of spending a week at Steeple Cottage...and of meeting the wonderful and unbelievably creative hosts Melody and Val. It is a very beautiful and peaceful spot...many hours can be spent just enjoying the views and the silence except for the birds! Hearing how this beautiful property came to be is a definite must! It is totally comfortable...nothing has been forgotten to create a romantic ambience and comfort including the fireplace for a rainy day/night.There are many things to do (kayaking, biking),enjoying the private beach,clamming,...and nothing is too much trouble for Mel and Val to ensure your comfort! A place that will live in your heart and memory for a long time!

Hi, Welcome from us, Melody and Val. We hope you'll decide to stay at 'The Steeple'. Val and I are both from P.E.I and have grown up at opposite ends of the Island, therefore we have a working knowledge of this wonderful Island from one end to the other. We have been living in Pt. Prim for 25 years. When You stay at The Steeple you'll be on the same 25 acres as our house (you get to be closer to the shore!). Plenty of space and privacy for both of us, the woods create a 'living barrier', your privacy is as important as ours. We are close enough but far enough away. If you have questions or looking for suggestions on where to eat, sightsee etc or wonder when the best tides are to dig some clams or where you can buy some lobsters right from the wharf, we'll be glad to help and share whatever knowledge we have.
