Arkitektens Privat tilbagetog bygget i 2008 med åben grundplan og en væg af vinduer mod søen. Den første sal opholdsstue har ahorn gulve og en udsat bjælkeloft. Læder sofa og stole i stue med ny HD, LCD fladskærms-TV, Blu Ray DVD-afspiller, trådløst internet service og CD-afspiller. Køkkenet har knudret el kabinetter, granit bordplader med en gas kogeplade, mikrobølgeovn, diswasher og alle rustfrit stål apparater. Veludstyret køkken med en Vermont Castings gas pejs at tage chill af kølige nætter. Første sal bad har en flisebelagt bruser (ingen karbad). En vindeltrappe fører op til loftet soveværelse med domkirken loftet, ovenlys og loft fan over queen size seng. Bygget i pine kommoder og pine perle bord paneler. Kabel-tv med fladskærm LED-tv med dvd-afspiller. Nyd den udendørs fra den blå sten gårdhave eller cedertræet og aluminium dock med svømme stige. To kajakker er fastsat gæst brug. Gas grill på terrassen. Belægning begrænset til to personer på alle tidspunkter. Parkering er begrænset til ét køretøj. Rolig beliggenhed på nordvestkysten på Ferncliff Road.
Denne hytte er så tæt på vandet du har lyst til at du er på en husbåd. Beliggende i den bredeste del af North Bay of Lake St. Catherine har en fantastisk udsigt mod syd.

Great little getaway!

The location, accommodations, & check-in were wonderful. We loved sitting on the dock in the morning with a cup of coffee, listening to the loons bringing in the day, and in the evenings with a glass of wine watching the sun set over the tranquil water. Everything we were looking for in a weeklong stay !

Nice cottage directly on the lake, exactly as depicted in the listing. The lake was gorgeous. Lots to do in the area, hiking, biking, orchards and farmstands and lake activities.

We had a great time at this cottage! It was a perfect retreat for my wife and I. While it is on the smaller side, we had everything we needed! The view of the lake is AMAZING both from inside the house or on the dock. Lots of amenities like kayaks which are easily accessible. The communication with the host was perfect - she was quick to respond to any questions that I had. Highly recommend this home for anyone who is considering it!

Perfect place for two. The home was lovely and the views and location were spectacular. Host was very accommodating and easy to work with. We will be back to the lake and can think of no better place to stay!

Excellent Lake Getaway

Beautiful well equipped cottage with a wonderful quiet location on Lake St. Catherine. Hiking,biking, walking trails, and golf near by. We relaxed ,read and swam on the wide dock. Plenty of food options too!

So much kayaking!

My husband had a wonderful time on Lake St. Catherine. The cottage has everything you need. Even if you're sitting inside you can hear the crash of the waves. It was breathtaking.

Extremely relaxing and private. The owners were wonderful and very responsive. Perfect layout inside and out while being cozy and comfortable for 2. Great dock for relaxing on or docking your boat with almost 4’ depth at the end of the dock with a gradual dropoff. Great for swimming, tubing and fishing. We caught 4 species of fish with luck every day. We highly recommended and would definitely consider visiting again.

Ultimate Relaxation Lakefront Property

This property is exactly as described in the overview and in the pictures. House was immaculate and stocked with everything you will need for a great vacation. Wonderful location right on the lake with spectacular views. Great communication from the owner.

Perfect getaway

The house was exactly as pictured. Clean and well maintained. Loved the open floor plan and all windows. Nice quiet place to sit on the dock and enjoy the leaves and the lake. Highly recommend!

Ideal small cottage for a lake vacation

I stayed at the cottage for a week in August, as a base for visiting family and friends, hiking, and relaxing by the lake. The cottage was exactly as described--pretty, well-designed, and comfortable--at a beautiful and quiet location right on the lake. Linda was quite responsive. The place is small, as described (one bedroom), but perfect for my needs

The cottage was exactly like the pictures.

Everything was great. Our vacation was very relaxing. The lake was beautiful. The house was perfect. You always get a great view of the lake because of all windows. We had our concerns about the spiral staircase before we got there, but there wasn't a problem at all. The owners built a great place for anyone to stay. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a calm and relaxing vacation!

This incredible place was exactly the sanctuary my husband and I needed during our July 2026 stay. We buried my parents that week, making it a very difficult time for us. However, we found peace, beauty, and quiet in this lake home. I grew up in Wells, so being right on Lake St. Catherine was a joy. Sitting on the dock, seeing the mountains and waters I grew up with right there...what can you say?We had everything we needed — a stocked kitchen, a gas grill, and plenty of room to relax. The spiral staircase is something to keep in mind when packing, and if you have mobility issues. However, Linda made everything super clear in the listing, and there were no surprises. Keep that in mind if you need to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom on the first floor.The bathroom was also well stocked! The shower was perfect! There are plenty of fans, which you will need during the unfamiliar hot summers Vermont has compared to when I was a child. So, make sure to use them! We enjoyed the loft bedroom despite no adjacent bathroom. We found the bed very comfortable!It was hard to leave this little piece of heaven when the time came. We lost most of the first day due to travel headaches flying into Albany, so the time we spent at the lake house felt even more precious.My husband loved the kayaks! We both enjoyed the zero gravity loungers on the dock!Linda sent lots of great information before we checked in. Can't wait to return!

Lakeside Retreat

This peaceful cottage at the water’s edge exceeded our expectations! Access to the lake is only steps away and we fully enjoyed all the outdoor spaces. The dock was perfect for morning coffee and lounging in between swimming and kayaking. The patio was handy for meals and organizing biking excursions. We prepared snacks and meals in the well stocked kitchen and appreciated the lake views from the open dining/living room areas. Being in a serene atmosphere surrounded by nature was just what we needed to relax and rejuvenate. We highly recommend this place and plan on returning!

Magical

From the calling loons at the end of the day to the tranquility of the morning light, if you want to have a magical getaway, this spotless, modern cottage is for you! We enjoyed great fishing, paddles in the kayaks and nearby attractions, restaurants and quaint shops. No problems or complaints…owners are friendly and organized in every detail. LOVED IT!!!!!

Total relaxation

This home was fantastic. You are literally right on the water. Quite peaceful and very relaxing. Fantastic place for two people to enjoy. Great area to explore and nice local restaurants. The kayaks are a definite plus. The owner is very quick to respond and answer any and all questions. You can find no better place to sit and look at the lake and watch the boats. Another plus was all the neighbors we met were very friendly and had great suggestions on places to see. We will definitely return to unwind and recharge.

Leaning Cedars Lake Cottage Getaway

Once again (4th time renters), my husband and I had a relaxing stay at this cottage. It’s perfect for a couples getaway. The cottage is exactly as described but better. Lots of natural light because of all the windows and although no air conditioning, we never felt like it was too warm, and we’ve been there during heatwaves with high humidity. The kitchen, though small has everything you need. There’s even spices, olive oil and balsamic vinegar so it’s pretty easy to do your own cooking. The one large bedroom is a spiral staircase, so if you have difficulty with stairs this may not be for you, but we didn’t mind it a bit. The hardest part is getting the suitcase up and down, but otherwise no issues. The dock is great, getting morning sun but nice and shady in the afternoon. We loved kayaking in the early morning when the lake was oh so still and quiet. The floating loungers were great to relax on the water and cool down. We saw ducks, geese, herons and a bald eagle, so lots of nature to see. I’m sure we’ll be back again. P.S. My husband thinks the cottage needs a name like many of the others around the lake, so he’s decided to call it Leaning Cedars Cottage, hence the description of this review.

Awesome lake house at the water's edge.

My husband & I had a perfect week just chilling out in Lake St. Catherine & watching the Olympics. This home is small but very beautiful & well-appointed. My husband fished from the dock catching (& releasing) a northern pike & bass. We waded into the lake daily from the stony shore & spent hours just bobbing in the water-it was wonderful! We cooked all of our meals there finding everything we needed in the kitchen. The multipurpose oven was new for us but performed nicely. We originally hesitated to come due to the spiral stair & only 1 bathroom. We are in our late 60's but found the narrow stairway surprisingly secure to navigate. One suggestion for anyone who may be a light-sensitive sleeper is to bring a sleep mask. The many windows & skylight keep this home light & bright. We had a couple hot days but the fans kept us comfortable. We tried the kayaks but they were too small for my 6' husband to use, so we we mostly enjoyed the swimming. On our 1 rainy day we enjoyed the TV, a puzzle, & reading. It was really a wonderful relaxing week! The host is very communicative & attentive. The instructions for the house are well-developed, comprehensive, & clear. The neighborhood is quiet, the lake is gorgeous, & we wish we were still there!

Beauty and Character

We had an amazing week at Linda’s property. The views and surrounding landscape couldn’t be beat, especially in foliage season. Linda was kind and communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Very much hoping I find my way back Sooner rather than later!

Poultney lake front cottage

We rented this wonderful waterfront cottage for our annual fall Vermont visit. The location is hard to describe in words since it sits right on the water and you get incredible views from every where. You wake up and see incredible sunrise and you go to bed seeing a sky lit with stars everywhere and its reflection on the water. The cottage is equipped with everything you would need and it feels very homy and cozy. We loved hiking and biking and had an amazing week . Will definitely recommend to our family and friends

Beautiful and peaceful vacation

We were able to spend 5 nights at Linda's lovely lake front home. It's well appointed, clean and thoughtfully planned out. The views of the lake from all the windows plus the Oct Fall foliage in VT were spectacular and an added bonus. Quiet street in a quaint VT town with friendly people we met along the way. Day trips to Manchester VT and Saratoga Springs NY just an hour away. Great vacation to rest, relax and recharge. Don't hesitate to book Linda's beautiful cottage for a peaceful time away from your busy lives.

Lake St. Catherine is a beautiful lake and the surrounding area has so much to offer in terms of outdoor activities. We are avid skiers and love to play golf, hike in the woods and mountains and take long bike rides. The nearby Slate Valley Trails provide a wide variety of mountain biking/ hiking trails. Lake St. Catherine is the perfect environment for us.
