The property was exactly as described online. We loved the pool area, and the location was great. The house is spacious and can accommodate a lot of people. The beds were very comfortable, and we enjoyed having three bathrooms. The rental home also included bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards. We would definitely stay there again in the future.

Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tipsy Turtle. We had lots of room for our family of 5 to each have their own space. Loved the pool and fishing dock. An amazing place and we will definitely come back!!!

We found management easy to work with and quick to respond when an issue came up. Pricing on the house was very good, even with exchange to Canadian dollars. My only real complaint was the shower in the ensuite bathroom had mold around the base. It should really be looked after and the sooner, the better. We loved the Tipsy Turtle and as retirees we hope to be back soon ...

Loved the house and pool although No stairs from the porch to the back yard was challenging with our dog.

Best vacation ever!

What a beautiful, spacious vacation home! From the welcome basket of goodies to all the great amenities, our time at Typsy Turtle was amazing. Our group (ages 16-72) used all the water toys! Kayaking and paddle boarding right from the dock was the highlight! We used the bikes almost nightly for a relaxing cruise to nearby Sombrero Beach. House pool was refreshing at the end of the day. Location to restaurants and grocery made for convenience. The house has everything we could need. We will stay here again!

Disappointed with Management for this Stay

We have rented several different properties in Marathon over the past 4 years. Always has been perfect. This is the first time we have experienced such poor communications with the property manager. We made several phone calls over our 3 week stay reporting a broken pool chair (which we temporarily fixed ourselves), broken blinds, overgrown bushes and lawn around the pool area and 1 broken bicycle. The only issue that was resolved during our stay was that the landscaper finally came to trim the bushes & mow the lawn. Management office would never return my calls. We spent the entire vacation with only 1 rideable bicycle (when the listing indicated we should have had 2 bicycles). Following our stay, I kept contacting the Property Manager who did provide a refund equal to a bike rental for the 3 weeks and she indicated, 4 new bikes had now been purchased for the property.

Madeline, As I mentioned on the phone, you should use the check-in app to communicate quickly and promptly. We have three people who watch this check-in system. This is how you got your check-in instructions. If you had followed these instructions, your communication would have been much quicker. From our reviews, we have excellent communication with our guests; obviously, you don't know how to follow instructions. There are two phone numbers on our reservation confirmation, including mine. I only got your call on the last day you were here. The lawn people come every two weeks. The pool people come every week. I'm sorry that you didn't like the lush landscaping. I am also sad that you had expectations that may not have been met. We try very hard to exceed those. Our office is right in Marathon. If you were that frustrated, you could have stopped by, and we could have shown you how to use the Check-In app. Bicycles have been replaced with not 2 bikes, but now we have 4 bicycles. This home does not deserve a 3-star review. The house just had new flooring put in all the bedrooms and the owners are constantly doing upgrades to amenities and to this home.
