Pristine Log Cabin on 600' of Lake Shore.

Enjoy this authentic log cabin on a private 2 acre lot, 600' of lakeshore within 25 miles of Itasca State Park. Fish from either dock, kayak, or relax by the lakefront firepit. The cabin has a main level bedroom, loft with 2 queen beds, open floor plan, and 3 season porch. Garage loft has a full bed and queen sleeper sofa and additional TV. High speed internet allows for streaming your favorites or ability to work remotely if needed. Long Lost Lake has a 10 mph speed limit and very little traffic. Perfect for a weekend getaway or quiet family vacation. Cabin is within 15 minutes from public access. Docks and Kayaks are pulled by mid October.
Plenty of winter activities as well. Snowmobile, cross country ski, snowshoe, 4 wheel, or ice fish.

Cabin was clean, beautiful and well-furnished. The area was very quiet with great views across the lake and of the fall foliage. Good access to the north entrance of Lake Itasca state park (about 25-30 min drive), which was the main reason we visited this area. It was lovely to come back to this cabin after a day exploring the park. The host was very quick to respond to questions and very helpful.

Picturesque Cabin

If you’re looking for a quiet, serene, breath taking view, do not hesitate in booking this cottage. The kitchen is fully stocked and the grill is great! The rooms are perfect too! But by far, the view is what makes the entire booking. Being able to watch the animals scurry along the lawn and see the stars late in the evening was amazing.

Perfect private spot!

We had a blast fishing off the dock, kayaking and having bonfires by the lake. We brought our boat but the kayaks were perfect. Lots of space for kids to run and no neighbors! We also really enjoyed the log cabin!

Great Vacation Week

There is not much better than sitting on the dock watching the fish underneath you. Kayaking was fun, caught many bass and saw a northern hanging out at the end of the dock. We saw eagles and loons everyday and lots of humming birds! The extra fridge in the garage was appreciated. The bonus room above the garage looked great, we did not use it but it is a large space. The shower was too small for our friend to use a shower chair although the rest of the main level was wheelchair friendly. There are 3 steps to enter in the main door and 1 step if entering in the screened porch area. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen. I would bring additional kitchen washcloths and towels. The washer and dryer were much appreciated. The Host was very responsive. We will likely stay again next year!

Cabin getaway

Cabin was wonderful for our family getaway. Had everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked, has games to play, nice fire pit and kayaks.

Private cabin near Itasca State Park

Clean, well organized and fun for the whole family. There were outdoor games available, kayaks and a Great lake for fishing and swimming!

Amazing experience

Our family of 8 stayed and loved our time at the cabin! We day tripped to Itasca two days and enjoyed coming back to make meals, swim and relax by the fire. There was so much space we all were able to find a favorite spot to unwind before heading back to school this fall. Everything we needed was there. It was absolutely perfect!

Perfect family lake getaway

Everything we could want in a lake cabin. Beautiful setting with water views from the deck and screen porch. Nice mowed yard with easy access to the dock and kayaks. The owners provided all the amenities that made us feel welcome and comfortable: sunscreen, bug spray, firewood, beach towels, clear instructions for all appliances, etc. We had a wonderfully relaxing time playing on the water and watching loons and hummingbirds. We'll definitely stay again the next time our travels bring us this way.

Peaceful serene property

Very well kept, clean property. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. We fished, played in the water, listened to birds, watched wildlife, kayaked and played games. We even enjoyed campfires with few mosquitoes. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were great! They had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

If you want peace and quiet this is the place to go. My whole family wants to do it again.The cabin was just perfect for the 8 of use.The host was very accommodating for use first timers. Thanks to them we had a super time!!!!!!

Scenic Setting with Stellar Accommodations!

We had a fantastic experience at our VRBO log cabin on Long Lost Lake. The log cabin was beautiful and cozy with scenic views of the lake from almost every window. It was impeccably maintained and extremely clean! The check in process was flawless and the cabin had everything we needed—USB outlets in the bedside tables, an office area in the great room for remote working, new and quality cookware, dishes and small kitchen appliances , as well as laundry detergent, lotion, hair dryer, etc. — the owners even had a stocked coffee bar and a spice rack for our convenience!! It was chilly during our stay but that didn’t stop our fun. The hosts supplied an assortment of board games for our use and the large, oversized garage was able to accommodate a bags (game included) tournament when it was too chilly to be outside. We also had access to a grill (that looked brand new!) for all our outdoor cooking needs. Once we arrived, there was no need to leave as we had everything we needed. Our hosts, Mark & Lisa were awesome to work with and thought of everything for us to enjoy a fun weekend with another couple in a gorgeous setting. We would highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back!

We love the peacefulness of Northern MN. Long Lost Lake is truly quiet and has very little activty on it so you can enjoy the serenity that the the 2 acre parcel provides.
Then you put a log cabin on the gently sloping lot and we couldn't pass up the paradise that is Lost Log Cabin.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

Fishing, hiking, kayaking, 4 wheeling, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, come enjoy the great north. Gentle slope down to lake No Steps!!
