As is typical with many mountain homes in our area, the property is surrounded by trees and has a gravel driveway rather than paved parking. Mountain terrain varies from property to property, and while this driveway may feel different to guests unfamiliar with the area, it is not considered particularly steep compared to many other mountain driveways. We also appreciate your suggestions for additional games, books, flashlights, and local area information, which we will share with the property owner for consideration. We’re sorry your visit didn’t turn out as planned and hope you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy the North Carolina mountains under better weather conditions in the future.

We do provide small starter soaps to get guests settled, but we understand how that may not have met your expectations. We’ll work on making this clearer in our listing and communication. We also agree that linens and an adequate supply of towels should always meet a high standard, and we’re addressing this with our team to ensure worn items are replaced promptly and towel quantities are sufficient. The patio had just been pressure washed but due to fall in the mountains leaves do accumulate. Light bulbs have been replaced. We do hope you will stay with us again in the future.
