Cozy lake house with a hot-tub!!

Welcome to our cabin on the Wisconsin River! Our home is located in between Madison and the Dells.

The Space
The home has three bedrooms, with the first being on the main floor and the other two upstairs. We have a full kitchen and grill outside for your use to prepare meals. The kitchen opens into a living and family room with river views! Outside, we have a large yard with a fire pit and a deck with a year round hot tub overlooking the water!

Activities
There are things todo all year near Dekorra. For the summer months, the Wisconsin Rivers offers great boating and fishing. The home has a boat launch at the end of the street, and a children’s park next door with a basketball/tennis court. We also have a dock in the summer months should you want to fish there (Please note we do not allow boats to be tied to our dock, there is a lot across the street to store your boat overnight). Devils Lake State Park is also only a 40min drive away.

The winter months offer just as many activities outdoors. Our hot tub is open all year and we provide heaters to help you get outside even when it’s cold. Devils Head Resort (30 min) and Cascade Mountain (20 min) are short drives away and offer great skiing. Columbia County snowmobile trails are also available nearby!!

4 adults for 3 nights in December.Owner communicated very well.Clean and comfortable house, right on the river.Only two minor quibbles:Water pressure in one of the showers was fairly low.And we didn’t have access to the garage.Would stay here again for sure.

Nice lake home. Accommodating hosts. Very comfortable. Great place to stay with nice views. Very convenient boat launch right next door. We visited in August (supposedly when river levels are lowest) so there were some shallow parts which made it more difficult to make it down to the lake with our pontoon. River current is fairly strong so I wouldn’t suggest swimming (especially with young kids). I would stay again, but maybe in early summer for better boating opportunities.

Great place set up well for a family everything was in good working order and really easy to use and navigate. The river is beautiful and area is great for families so many things to do in a 30 min radius. The one mistake we made was trying to rent a boat to keep at the house, i would not try to get to Lake Wisconsin via the river with your own boat. We put both our young kids upstairs at bed time an had the whole place to ourselves wich was a great layout.

Hot tub on the WI River!

Get location on the WI river. Beautiful views! There is a public park right next door with a basketball hoop and tennis/paddle ball court. There’s a public boat launch right next door too! Only 35-40 minutes from the Dells! We had a blast!

Great Spot!

The location on the river was amazing. The views were beautiful. The hot tub was a big hit with our crew. Plenty of space indoor and out. We also loved the fire pit! Great spot!

Mother-Daughter weekend

Every year we get together for a long weekend. We enjoyed this location. There were beautiful sunsets, had a bonfire one night. Had game night. and just really enjoyed our time together. We didn't know if there was any wood for the bonfire, so thankfully I happened to have some in my truck. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful views of the river over the Christmas holidays. The place is quite large and very well stocked with comfortably fit 2 to 3 families with kids.

Nice lake/river house stay

Family came for a three night stay after Christmas and had a very nice stay. Loved the hot tub - particularly with the view of the Wisconsin River. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Close drive to Cascade Mountain where we went tubing and had a blast. Enjoyed the stay- thank you!

Fantastic location for a relaxed outdoorsy weekend

We had a fabulous girls’ weekend here! This is not your typical cookie-cutter VRBO; this is a charming, homey, and very clean older Wisconsin lake house! The location has plenty of space and amenities for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Lake Wisconsin area. Conveniently located right on the water, within walking distance from two waterfront bars, a public boat launch, and many fantastic hiking spots, this was a nice home-base for memorable adventures. Small drawbacks were the lack of a coffeemaker (there was Keurig, but we couldn’t use the special coffee we brought) and the abundance of air fresheners (we understand that lake houses may need these at times, however!). Beds were comfortable even with the plastic mattress covers.

Relaxing family time & outdoor fun

We fit comfortably (probably had more room than we needed actually!) with 4 adults and 2 kids. Enjoyed fishing off the dock and fire pit nights. There were a lot of public beach areas around the home that were a lot of fun for the kids. We didn’t swim in the Wisconsin River (water moves fast!) but waded, played in sand, caught fish, and watched turtles. The hot tub (complete with sky lights and Bluetooth speakers) was a great end to each day as the nights were still a bit chilly. There is a public boat ramp and parking lot immediately next to the property so it would be very convenient for those with kayaks, boats, and canoes! We saw many enjoying the river for that. On the other side of the house, there’s a public park with a large playset for kids and a basketball-pickle ball court and more area for fishing. House was stocked with everything we needed with simple instructions for working all the TVs & other amenities. Wi-fi worked great. Kids and my husband enjoyed the old fashioned arcade game! There’s a grocery store10min away and a Wal-Mart 20min away so easy to get whatever you need. We enjoyed Hookers Resort restaurant just a block down the road. I’d highly recommend a day trip to Devils Lake State park. Well worth the 40min drive and $16 parking pass to see some amazing trails and enjoy a beautiful public beach area. Overall a great place to relax with the family!

Nice house w/ deck, hot tub, and fire pit.

We had five people stay for an extended weekend. Enjoyed the house, deck, hot tub, fire fit, and water front views. House is clean, w/ all the amenities you would need . Also w/in walking distance of Hooker's Resort and the Pour House.

Fantastic

The house was the perfect stay for a ski weekend at Cascade & Devils Head. The house was clean, had all necessities & the hot tub was a fun bonus. There wasn't much around for dinner - so plan ahead. Would definitely stay again!!!

Cute river house!

We rented this home for a ski weekend at Cascade mountain. The house was just as pictured and very seculuded and private. The kitchen had the basics although I would bring larger pans/pots if you are cooking for a large group. We loved the hot tub and our kids loved the arcade machine and board games. Overall a great stay!

Great stay

We stayed at the cabin to go skiing at Cascade Mountain, which was about 15 minutes away. The cabin is in a quiet area right on the river, and we had a great time staying there. It was perfect for our family with lots of space and all the amenities the owners provided. Communicating with them was also very easy. Would stay again!
