We are a young family of four and this was an absolute perfect spot for us. So close to the beach, and the view is amazing. The general store down stairs is super convenient. Pool is great and they keep the grounds spotless. Reserve a BBQ and enjoy dinner on the grass in the evening, such a relaxing time. Close enough to town that you could walk, but it is a really short drive. The condo is great, AC works awesome and the place is very clean. The beds are so comfortable you actually wont miss your own bed. The place is well stocked, we never couldn't find an item we needed. The starter kit lasted us the entire time too! Easy check in and check out process. Glad to be back home but we already miss the place. This was our first time to Hawaii, and we will be returning to stay here again.

Wonderful views!

Very impressed with the top floor views. Check in process was easy. The apartment was very clean and spacious inside. The location was perfect and allowed access easy access to tours.

The view is fantastic. The location is fantastic for swimming, snorkeling, walking, getting to Kihei and Wailea. The interior of the condo is good, but not great. The "starter kit" (limited quantities of soap, toilet paper, etc.) and the quality of the bathroom amenities were poor (crazy that you can pay a few thousand dollars for a few days at the place, and they are trying to save a few dollars by giving you the cheapest soap, toilet paper, and paper towels, and no shampoo).

Location Location Location

This was about my 30th time to Maui and this property location is way at the top of my list of favorite places. I am already looking to see when it is available in 2022 for a week so I can come back. You will not go wrong booking this property

Knockout Views!!!

Lovely condo, spacious and very well kept. Looks like both bathrooms have been recently renovated, and both look fantastic. The views from the patio are beyond the written word, you have to be there, cocktail in hand, and admire the amazing coastline. Had 14 days in this suite - not even close to enough time! We look forward to another visit soon.

Location, location, location!!!

Want to wake up to sunrises and snorkel right off your beach? This is the place!! If you like to switch it up and try different beaches, this is still a great place!! You have a dedicated parking space, so there’s always a space for your car when you get back!!The unit has beach chairs and a soft side cooler for your expeditions. There was one boogie board and some beach umbrellas too! One bed is basically in the living room, so if you’re going with another couple…well…just know the set up.

Perfect location

Love this location! It’s as close as you can get to Wailea but still pay Kihei prices. This location is wonderful. You can hear the surf from the bedroom. Best beach and reef! This unit is a little tired, though, it definitely can use some updates, but overall very comfortable. My only concern was for the safety with the closet door in the hallway, it practically falls out, the beach chairs were broken and very worn. The management company was very responsive and followed up on everything

Great location and best beach

The place was great for us. It could use some updating. New stove which we didn’t even need. Refrigerator could be updated next. Coffee maker was great. Views can’t be beat!Has a pool but why go there with that beach. Rental stuff is right there and reasonable. 808 store was handy. Would be nice, but more crowded, if the restaurant ever gets done. We’ll definitely be back.

Home Away from Home

My family and I have stayed in this condo at least 6 times. Each visit has been a total joy. And still the owners continue to make improvements. This visit included a brand new stove and oven and a new dishwasher. Last year it was totally renovated bathrooms. They do everything possible to make our visits absolutely comfortable. I so enjoy the view from the lanai. I could sit and watch the whales all day long.

Great Location

We have stayed in the Mana Kai many times because of the location. The units vary depending on the extent and quality of renovations. Accordingly, they also vary in the rate charged. This unit is quite dated but clean and reasonably equipped. Comfortable beds. The nightly rate is relatively low compared to many of the more recently renovated units so the value is reasonable.The views from every Unit in the building are excellent.The management company - AA Oceanfront Rentals was very responsive and good to deal with.We would stay here again if the price is right.

not bad

Went to Maui for family vacation, wedding and birthday celebration. Rented this condo as a gift for the bride and groom. Checked in and there were ants piled up near the lanai sliding glass doors. We contacted owner via email and he was prompt and scheduled cleaning for the very next day but we cleaned ourselves. Floor was dirty. Bathroom sink clogged. Not sure if the housekeeper failed to sweep floor but we had too. In any event after the ant incident the rest of the stay for the newlyweds was fine. The condo is not upgraded in comparison to the other two units we had but we were able to comfortably get ready for the wedding, had hair and makeup stylist come to the condo. The view is amazing...so if you don't care about stainless steel appliances, Tommy Bahama furniture and sheets, and are ok with maybe sweeping up an ant or two this is a good value.

Thank you for your feedback. This is the first time in a long time we've had a complaint about the cleaning but surely we will check on it. They are known to be one of the best available. The issue of the flying ants coming in through open screens from the patio we are told was a rare happening at the Mana Kai but occurred right at that time. It's the first we have ever heard about it. I'm glad the staff explained and took care of the situation pronto. As far as upgrades go, we are doing upgrades every year and remodeled the entire kitchen (with expanded counter space) 3 years ago. Our beds are top of the line with memory foam mattresses. We do our best and will continue to do our best. Our vacationers return year after year.

Primo View/Location

The seller was in the process of transferring maintenance of the unit to a property manager so there was some confusion about accessing the condo and closing when checking out. Beyond the delay in opening the unit and lack of instructions about closing, this condo has a top floor view of Keawakapu Beach that is truly breathtaking. Great beach access with tons of chaise lounges to veg out and take in the sights, sounds and smells of all that is wonderful about Maui. It would be a cramped unit for more than two couples but there are two completely separate bedrooms. We couldn’t get either TV to work (instructions!) which didn’t bother us. Make sure you do an extensive beach walk from the Mana Kai and experience the best of South Maui.
