Come to Port A and relax at Sandy Starfish! This is a beautiful four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom in the Heart of Port Aransas! On the ground floor of this luxury townhome, you'll find a laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer. The two guest rooms are located on this floor. The first guest room offers a queen-size bed, and the second bedroom has two twin bunk beds. Both rooms have flat-screen TVs and a shared full bathroom.

On the second floor, you'll find a spacious living and dining area. There is plenty of space for your family or group to enjoy meals and relax after fun in the sun. Catch glimpses of the gulf and Laguna Madre from the second-floor balcony, located just off the living area.

The first primary suite is also located on this floor and offers a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom is complete with double vanity, walk-in shower and Jacuzzi tub. The sofa is a pull-out accommodating two additional people.

The third-floor balcony is located just off the loft and offers views of the Gulf and Laguna Madre. Sit and relax while listening to the waves roll in. The second primary suite is located on the third floor and offers two queen-size beds and walk-in closets. The en-suite bathroom has a double vanity, soaking tub and walk-in shower.

Sandy Starfish is located close to the community pool, which is heated during the winter for year-round fun! The townhome is directly off a private lane and comes with two assigned parking spaces, with overflow parking spaces available.

Absolutely perfect

Our stay here was perfect in every way. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. It was clean, cozy and updated. Location was great and the pool and hot tub were also clean and well kept. Plenty of linens, dish ware and little extras that made our stay comfy and worry free. Definitely hoping to return soon. Highly recommend.

Great place

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Sandy Startfish was great very very very clean. kitchen well stock with dishes and pans. We were not told that the community pool and hot tub was being redone.

We really enjoyed the location and layout of the condo. The variety of room set ups was great. The 4 bunk room was on the same level as a queen so if you want to be close to the kids at night, that would be the room to be in. Also there is no railing for the top bunks as the matresses are tall. The beds are firm and there are lots of pillows.The pool area was fun. The shallow end is 4 ft deep but it drops quickly so kids need to be tall or good swimmers or have floaties. The hot tub is hot but there is no signage or obvious location to turn on the jets. Property management said they'd find out the location but never got back to us, so we still have no idea if the jets work. The kitchen is nice with a small bar height peninsula. The appliances were nice and worked well. There are plenty of dishes but there was not a pizza pan or cookie sheet to be found. The living areas are comfotable and roomy but sound does carry through the stairwells.Overall we really loved the place and everyone agreed they'd stay again next year. The only issues were really with the property managers. Even though they'd sent the codes for entry ahead of tine, we could not get in at 415 pm as the entry code was not set. The call center takes a long time to navigate they did reset it eventually, but after driving and kids needing to pee, was a bummer. That with not returning info on the hot tub left a sour taste on their management process.

Sandy Starfish needs some TLC

The space and location was ideal, and worked perfectly for our vacation and family size. However there were certain areas of the house that needed some addressing and touchups. For example, the walls needed some paint in different high traffic areas, tile/grout work on the first floor bathroom was missing and could have easily created an injury if one wasn't paying attention, there was a lot of lids but very few containers or they didn't match, the living room tv made a horrible screeching noise when it was first turned on, remotes didn't work on tv's they should have been labeled, and there should have been some directions. Kitchen trash can only had one extra liner when we were there for 5 days, 4 nights. Thankfully I brought my own trash bags. There was an Alexa remote, but a Google Chromecast connector on the back of the downstairs queen bed room which didn't work, so when the weather was bad there weren't very many options where the tv worked for the kids to watch. Thank god we had our own devices and could connect to the WiFi. There weren't any games in the closet other than Connect Four, and many of those pieces were missing. The shuffle board table and foosball table were great, just had to be careful with one piece as was broken on top of one of the discs. The golf cart was a great convenience but there was no gas can provided to help top it off. Additionally it would have been nice if we were given an option on the golf cart rental size. We saw other golf carts that comfortably seated 6 passengers and we wish we would have been given that option. Overall it was a fun vacation and we would be interested in going back and booking another stay thru Silver Sands, but we may look at another house for our next trip. Thank you, Puja

Bunk beds

I forgot to mention that the condo sleeps 12. Well, the bunk beds are so unstable and dangerous that our kids could not sleep on the top bunks. This needs to be addressed before someone hurts themselves.

Not a good experience

Everything up to check in was great. Then we arrived at our condo at 4:30, when we got there cleaning crew was still there. Took another 30 minutes to finish cleaning. They finally left, and we entered the property. This condo was filthy! Sand all over the floor, a pile of dirt in the kitchen pushed into the corner. Fans had an 1/4 inch of dust on the leading edge. Garage smelt like something died. Dishes had food still stick to them and we rewarded anything that we used before using. Bathroom on first floor shower door was broken and never shut. The bottom of the shower enclosure was rotted and nasty. Garage fridge never cooled but the freezer worked. Living room was not as advertised and the only sits 6 adults we had 11. Could not get comfortable. The beds were hard as a rock and did not sleep for 5 nights. Linnens had sand in them and always felt dirty. We have paid a lot less and have stayed in nicer units. This one is terrible. TV in living room never worked. The bottom floor always had a dead musky smell to it. Was really disappointed for the amount of money that we spent. Embarrassing with our first time to Port A family. The golf cart broke twice and they brought us two additional units . One occasion the golf cart broke down in middle of an intersection. A silver sands employee saw the whole thing and had them bring us a new cart. These were not safe in my opinion. Needless to say I owe my family another vacation because this one was horrible. Sad to say but it was really bad. Hopefully it's just that unit and not a indication of what to expect from Silver Sands. We have rented other properties and never had an experience like this. Enjoyed out stay

We enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and felt like home away from home. The only down side was we are a family of 7 and our go cart was only for 4.

Great place

Everything was wonderful at the Sandhill townhome. Only problem was that the WiFi didn't work. I called multiple times for someone to come out and fix it. Yes, someone did come out and they said they needed to come back so manager can sign in their spectrum account. However, no one ever came back. Other than that it was a great view. Townhome was spotless and it was more than enough room for all of us and I loved the bedrooms were all spaced out and away from other bedrooms. Beautiful!

The only thing we couldn't get to work was the Wi-Fi. The kitchen wasn't cleaned when we arrived. There were still crumbs on the table and all over the counters. The rest of our stay was great and we enjoyed the townhome.

Enjoyed Port A

We rented this amazing house for the weekend for an Easter getaway with extended family. We enjoyed stayed and loved the atmosphere this place added to our stay. Very clean, walk away from the pool and a 2 min. Golf Cart ride way from the beach was perfect for our family. Highly recommended staying here.

We picked the house for the hot tub in the winter. It was on a time and only available after dark. House was beautiful and well stocked. The view was ok.

The condo was wonderful. Very clean and accommodating. My grandkids were a bit bummed that the heater was not on in the pool and was not warm enough to swim in. They did all pile in the hot tub though. Other than that, the stay was great.

Family ties

My best friend and I had always vacationed to Port A together with our children. We have 5 together. After a six year respite for high school, college and life, we needed a place that could accommodate our adult children and any plus ones. This place was perfect. It does have three floors so that's important to know if you are traveling with older adults since the living space is on the second floor. Here's the layout: the first floor has two rooms and one full bathroom. Second floor has the living room, dining room, kitchen and half bath. There is also a master bedroom with private bathroom. The top floor has another master suite with two full sized beds and a private bathroom. There is also a shuffleboard and foosball table on this floor. That was a great place for all of us to hang out after a day on the beach! The kitchen was nicely stocked and we requested the Golf cart for our use which was a Godsend and sat 6 for transport to the beach. Only suggestion would be to double the bath towels in the condo and add more trash bags and dishtowels. Overall, we will definitely come here again as long as my knees hold out!

Started with chaos, ended in bliss!

My daughter did the initial work and left the rest up to me, without letting me know. The day of our trip was a disaster, as I deleted all the VRBO emails. No one knew anything. We were lucky the staff at Silver Sands were patient and understanding and helped us find the place and get into the house after hours. Everything else was great!
