Stunning Views from every room at this Private Villa !!!

Tucked Away is perfectly situated in the hills of Calabash Boom with expansive views from Coral Harbor to Norman Island, the BVI's and beyond, just minutes from the village of Coral Bay on St Johns quiet East end with great little shops, grocery stores and a variety of dining options close by. Both The East End and North Shore Beaches are just a short drive a way.
The house is just spectacular from the moment you drive up to the island stone parking area that greets you, the tropical gardens that welcome you as you enter the front gate, and end your day relaxing in the jacuzzi (which is brand new - replaced November 2024) on the private deck under the starry sky overlooking the boats in the harbor.
As you enter Tucked Away you will be in a bright and airy freshly furnished living room with a soft upholstered sofa and two super comfy stuffed chairs, end tables and lamps. The interior is very spacious and the screened in porch extends the indoor outdoor living space where you can enjoy morning coffee, drinks, dinner, or even yoga.
The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pot and pans, utensils and a gas range. Whether cooking inside , or grilling with a view from the deck and an awesome breeze, both are one of the many great experiences that await you at Tucked Away. The view from every room will truly take your breath away!

Perfect spot in Coral Bay!

We LOVED our stay here! The porch / hot tub was a favorite every evening...perfect place to relax and watch the stars come out. Sunrise from the master bedroom was pretty hard to beat. The road up to the house is quite a journey but not unlike the rest of the island and totally worth the trek for the view!

Our Favorite Place

We’ve stayed here at least six times and keep coming back. Beautiful views and very private. Dena was proactive in alerting us of a local road closure this year. We will be back.

Wonderful Experience

The property is terrific and just as described. We have stayed at VRBOs all across the U.S. and have never had a better experience with a host than this trip. They made SURE that we had a great time even when we had major travel issues. I can't say enough about how above and beyond they went for us!

Living the dream

This was our second stay at this St. John property, and you won't be disappointed. This home is exactly as advertised—if not better. It is conveniently located near hiking trails, great beaches, and excellent restaurants. The house was immaculate and well-stocked. Dena was very easy to communicate with and stayed in touch throughout our stay. Trevor met us at the house to ensure we got checked in okay.

Nice view-skimpy amenities

No kitchen towels, only 4 bath towels for four guests, a mouse or rat ate a roll of toilet paper in the master bedroom. Shower pressure and volume was poor. Nice view but the place needs a lot of work, especially for the price charged

Amazing Views, Comfy Beds and the Best Property Managers!

We had some significant travel delays on our arrival and were going to be arriving too late to get a rental car and car ferry from St. Thomas. Dena and Trevor were so amazingly helpful and generous to get us to the villa after our late evening arrival-and even picked up first night groceries! They helped us figure out a rental car the next morning, too! Communication and willingness to help was so appreciated-they’re lifesavers! Waking up in the morning and seeing that view was so worth the travel mess! Over the week we enjoyed the brand new hot tub, grill, full moon on the deck, gentle breezes, board games and tropical birds! The house has everything you could possibly need for a beach day (coolers, sunshade, beach chairs, floats, dry bag) and most snorkel gear (check the stash before you rent your own!) The beds were so comfortable, I don’t think I even tossed or turned once the whole time! Also really appreciated the washer and dryer! The Calabash Market at the bottom of the hill was also a lovely surprise. Go visit the owner Mohammed for delicious homemade hummus, stuffed grape leaves, baklava, etc. They also had every essential we needed! We got ribeyes to grill from him one night and he seasoned them for us-yum!For those who like plants-the groundswere beautiful with so many interesting trees and plants! Probably the biggest monstera I’ve ever seen. The walk up to the front door felt like being in a beautiful jungle. Saw Antillean Crested Hummingbirds too!

We loved it!

My husband and I stayed at Tucked Away this past week and loved it! This was our first time to St John and it was so beautiful. The place had an incredible view. We loved watching the sunrise from the porch. Highly recommend! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Perfect Spot for R and R

Tucked Away met and exceeded all our expectations. Perched on the slope of a Coral Bay hillside, the view immediately asks you to sit and pause. This rental is located on the quieter side of the island and offers easy access to area beaches. Grocery needs can be easily filled in Cruz Bay, but there is also a very well stocked Calabash Market very close by where daily fresh fish and meats can be purchased. The amenities for beach accessories: totes, soft coolers, a shade tent and beach chairs made time at the beach easy and comfortable. Communication with the manager of Tucked Away was always very prompt and very helpful. This spot was a find and we will be back!

Still Amazing

We love staying at Tucked Away! This is our second time at the property and it was just as wonderful as the first time. It is very quiet and very tranquil with stunning panoramic water views of Coral Bay and beyond. Very clean. Very cozy.

Calabash Boom

We really like this property and have stayed there 4 or 5 times over the years. It is very private and has an incredible view. The location is great for exploring the Coral Bay side of the island and is fairly easy to get to if you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Although you could get away with a two wheel drive if you wanted to. Accommodations are comfortable and we enjoy the hot tub after a long day on the beach and in the water. We did have an issue with the AC, but it was fixed and wouldn’t stop us from going there again.

Terrific view

Tucked Away is a colorful cottage with tiles throughout. The row of chairs on the deck were wonderful for admiring the view. The set-up with the screened porch middle was perfect for two couples (one queen/one king) or a family with one to two kids. The king memory foam mattress was divine. There was plenty of left over liquor and sunscreen in the cabinet and a hodge podge of kitchen tools in the drawers. We enjoyed the better beach chairs with a cup holder and back support. The hot tub had discolored sides but was functional. We had difficulty locking the sliding doors and closing the wardrobe. The cottage shows its age in parts but I would recommend as a good value for the money.

Amazing villa with beautiful views

The pictures don’t do it justice. The views are amazing throughout the entire villa. The property manager was extremely responsive to our every need. Great amenities from a hot tub and washer/drier to beach towels, coolers, and beach totes. We had a fantastic stay and can’t wait to return!

Absolutely Perfect!

Tucked Away was the perfect spot for our family of 5. My 3 kids, ages 13, 11, and 9, had the best time. The pictures if the view don't even come close to the real thing. The view from that patio is one of the most beautiful views I have ever seen. Dena, our island host, was amazing. The day of our arrival she met is at Starfish Market and we followed her to the house. I cannot recommend this house enough. It was work for kids of any age! The house was completely stocked. We didn't feel like we were missing anything!

Paradise

We had a terrific time at Tucked away! We had everything we needed to make are vacation wonderful! The views were amazing and beaches were very close. Dena was so awesome! Not only did she make sure we got to the home ok, she recommended places to visit and was always available to answer questions. This was an unforgettable trip.

Tucked Away and enjoyed the stay

Beautiful property and perfect for our application. The property Mgr. Dena, went out of her way to accommodate our travel delays and get us there after hours when we arrived. The house is a short drive to the best beaches. The views from the balcony are beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Obsessive View

Choosing "Tucked Away" for our stay on St. John was among our best decisions ever. From beach chairs and towels to the Scrabble Board we had everything we needed. We could have cooked and grilled all week long in the well accessorized kitchen. Although, too many great restaurants close by to experience. The bedrooms and attached baths are perfectly situated. Every room is beautifully decorated. What I loved most was the entire side of the home with the ocean-facing view. We enjoyed Dena and Trevor who took great care of us. For us Tucked Away set a high bar for our next VRBO.

Truly Tucked Away!

The property is on the more quiet side of the island with an amazing view of the Coral Bay. Located high on the hill tops of St. John and surrounded by green trees and thick green foliage, you are truly tucked away in peaceful and quiet nature getaway. The only thing you hear outside during the day are singing birds, and singing tree frogs at night! The villa had everything we needed: from towels and all toiletries to coolers and beach chairs. There were a dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer as well. And did I mention the hot tub? Extremely spacious and airy floor plan, with the master bedroom’s glass walls overlooking Coral Bay. Although it were only the two of us, the property can easily accomodate 4 adults in its 2 bedrooms, and maybe even an additional person on the living room sofa. Both bedrooms have well working AC units. The property manager, Dena, was unbelievably courteous and helpful throughout our entire stay. She would promptly answer any questions we had, and she even guided us to the villa rental upon our arrival to St. John. Communication with both the manager and the property owner was a breeze. Because St. John is a very mountainous region with most narrow roads winding up and down, make sure that you rent a jeep! You will need it if you plan on driving around the island and to drive up to the villa. It is located very high but then again, you won’t get views like that from a hotel at Cruz Bay. Would definitely recommend the villa. Five stars!

The privacy and security Tucked Away offers nestled in the hillside is one of the best features. You truly are in your own little slice of heaven. The home offers the main living space with open air onto the screened in porch allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds , with easy access to bedrooms with AC and bathrooms on the main floor!
