We spent just a couple of days in Eleuthera and fell in love. This cottage was a wonderful home base. Clean, comfortable, great AC, kitchen, a quick walk to the shore line that was loaded with conch shells. We rented a car and explored on our own, which I highly recommend as there are so many places to see. The island had a couple of black-outs while we were there, but they didn't last long. If you want pampered resort style travel, try another island. Eleuthera is for adventure and raw beauty. We can't wait to return and see more!

Beautiful

My stay in Hatchet bay was beautiful & I was very comfortable there felt like I was at home! Nicole is a wonderful person & if I come back to visit I will most definitely come & stay at Nicole's place!

Perfect getaway spot

We really enjoyed our time and the house is on a quiet street within walking distance to the beach. Appreciated having the beach chairs and accessories. We didn't have any issues during our stay.

Stopped for some boat repairs, perfect place to stay.

Had to come to Hatchet Bay for a few days to work on a boat. Found this cottage easily and was easy to come and go. Great location. Information provided was helpful and worked out for all of our needs.

My family and I stayed for 2 nights in Eleuthera and the Seagrape Cottage was so clean and perfect for my family of 4. I really appreciated the booklet of information that came with it beforehand. It answered every question I had. I even printed it off and brought it with me and referred back to it several times. We loved visiting 5 of the many beaches Eleuthera has. They are gorgeous! And the one that is directly across Queen’s Highway from the cottage was our favorite. It has huge waves and my kids boogie boarded with the ones the cottage supplied. Thank you for being a wonderful host Nicole and Merielbys!

Perfect for our family

What a lovely property! Our family of 4 was so comfortable in this clean and cool house. Nicole was very helpful and not intrusive. The information provided by the owners was very helpful in planning our trip. Thank you for a lovely visit!

Plenty of room

Excellent location in the middle of Eleuthera. Use the Govenor's Harbor airport, and you can easily get to the glass bridge and North Eleuthera, as well as the southern parts of the Island. The house was clean, well appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. A very cool beach, (no waves) that was empty, is a minute's walk and had Amazing shells, kind of a conch graveyard with cool coral fragments.

The cottage was in good conditions. 2 out of 3 beach chairs were unusable. They should be stored somewhere inside the house and not outside.

Enjoyable stay in Hatchet Bay, Eluthera

We had the pleasure of staying at the Seagrape Cottage last week. If you are looking for a simple, comfortable, and charming place to stay on Eleuthera, this is the place. No frills, but everything you need. Located in a nice neighborhood, pleasant neighbors, cool cemetery at the end of the road, and across the street from a beautiful beach. The locals were a delight. The Trip Planner provided by the owner was very helpful, a Valuable resource full of information and recommendations for visiting Eleuthera that we will keep for future visits.Nicole, the property manager, was an absolute gem. She was Easy to talk to, down to earth, and quick to respond to our questions and requests. Very comfortable stay and plan to return next year.

Wonderful stay at Sea Grape Cottage!

This rental in Eleuthera was just what we needed—simple, comfortable, and exactly as described. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom, with well-functioning A/C units and a kitchen stocked with all the essentials. Everything listed in the pre-arrival document was accurate, so there were no surprises.The beds were comfortable, and the area was peaceful and quiet—great for relaxing. Nicole, the property manager, was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to any questions (not that we had many!). It was also lovely to meet her in person since she lives nearby.A small beach is just a short walk away, and the location is ideal for exploring the rest of the island. We did a pineapple farm tour just minutes up the road and spent our days discovering one gorgeous, nearly empty beach after another. Unlike some rentals we've stayed at, the access roads were in great condition, which made coming and going easy.Bonus: there's a fantastic restaurant called The Front Porch just around the corner.A wonderful trip and a rental we’d happily return to.

Great week

Just as described, clean and comfortable. One bedroom AC wasn’t working but Nicole did everything she could to get it fixed as soon as possible. But even when it wasn’t working the cottage was cool and comfortable with the other 2 running. The island was without running water for about 24 hours which of course couldn’t have been avoided but Nicole delivered 5 gallons of water to us which was very much appreciated. I loved the little beach right down the road and found that area to be awesome for snorkeling! We always had it to ourselves. We spent a lot of time exploring the island and the document Marielbys sent us ahead of our stay was very helpful and I carried it with us in the car. We used her advice about car rental and that went well. The WiFi was fast and dependable. Probably the only thing I missed having was a washer and dryer but certainly not a big deal we just rinsed out our suits and hung them on the outside railing to dry. Appreciated having beach chairs to use.
