We tried to make the cabin as comfortable for our guests as possible- and that is why we put four king beds in each bedroom. So glad to hear about your experience. Thanks for your feedback.

We take pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable cabin, and we provide all guests with a direct 888 number linked to our mobile phones so we can resolve any issues immediately. This guest stayed for the entirety of their 4-night reservation without ever contacting us, reporting any cleaning issue, or giving us the chance to address a concern. It was only after checking out that they reached out to demand a full refund for their entire stay, while simultaneously refusing to speak with us directly. VRBO support noted this as atypical behavior. This renter’s pictures and comments were immediately sent to our contracted, licensed professional exterminator who maintains our pest free perimeter around the cabin (it is even visible from the parking area). They cited the interior cabin as pest free last only four days prior to this guest’s arrival and identified the particles this renter found in the bathtub as outdoor dirt, not rodent or even insect droppings. All of this guests’ comments were sent to our cleaners to address, including low clearance areas, hard to reach places and also hard water spots (pictured). Standard policy is that stained, damaged or worn items are discarded and replaced as discovered year-round. We or our cleaners usually catch damage. Do note that damage like the exterior ceiling fan broken by a prior renter (pictured) may take a little while longer to fix if/when it is difficult to match up. Ironically, our cleaners reported that this specific group left the cabin requiring extra cleaning including on the hardwoods and some sort of oil stain on one of tan comforters our cleaners have now washed 4 times and the stain remains. Our cabin is a beautiful, rustic property situated in a wooded environment, featuring authentic tongue-and-groove cedar throughout. Even though the outdoor furniture is wiped or sprayed down between guests, particularly the exposed furniture on the sundeck (we also have furniture underneath the covered porch) is most susceptible to dropping leaves (as pictured)- or even wildlife visits. Given that this group included a full house of couples to celebrate a birthday- we hope the rest of the party was able to enjoy the beauty around them! Or maybe the trouble wasn’t really with the cabin. Just a thought. Good luck with that 😊

Thanks for your feedback Julia. We were just there for 2 weeks with our friends and family and the temperature outside was extremely warm on many of the days. I actually had to close off some of the vents in the rec room, lower level bedroom and the 2 main floor bedrooms because those guests were mentioning that it was too cold in those rooms particularly at night. The master which is upstairs is the only room that can get warm but that is easily controlled by simply closing the bedroom and/or the hall entry door that leads to the master during the day. That keeps the warm air from going up to that room. If that's done, the master is absolutely fine temperature wise. In addition, the A/C unit can freeze up if the thermostat is turned too low and because it's a rental property some guests aren't diligent about shutting the outside doors while the unit is running.
