Wonderfully peaceful floating home. Fish right from the dock and watch the magnificent water fowl and allow the water to wash your stress away! Situated in the heart of Felida in Vancouver, WA close to lakes, rivers, trails, shopping and restaurants. In 45 minutes you can be in the stunning Columbia River Gorge and half an hour to Portland, OR. Something for everyone!
Please note that this property borders a railroad which passes through several times a day. It has no fence around the dock, and may not be suitable for small children.

It was so great. We sat in the living area watching herons, egrets, geese, raccoons, ducks and more. The house is so well equipped with all that you need. We had a great 4 days!

Relaxing and Peaceful

Our stay was wonderful. Upon checking in, we met the owner while locating our parking spot. She was very friendly! The house was perfect for our stay and had everything that we needed. I will definitely reach out back to her in the future.

Charming and Quirky

Just what we wanted: a spacious amount of room for 4 people, an unusual location while still convenient to Portland, and a responsive host. It's more "house" than "boat," but it's located on a pretty little stretch of water with a small current. We loved watching the geese family, heron and beaver across the way. We weren't expecting train tracks to be so close, or the trains so plentiful, but it soon added to the charm of the place. Access is easy, with one reserved parking spot. Others living in houseboats on the dock are friendly and welcoming. We were comfortable and refreshed at the end of our trip.

Adorable inside

The idea of a floating house intrigued our family and the concept was amazing. The house itself was big enough for us and everyone had their own space!! The inside of the house was a lot nicer than the outside. The property manager was easygoing!!! Be advised there are two train tracks that have trains coming and going 24/7 but other than that the place was amazing!!

Unique Place

We enjoyed the stay. Dog friendly?? Had to walk him up to the dock to grass area because it was just deck around the boat house. He people were very friendly there. The carpet and kitchen floor needed replacing. The house was well stocked with everything. Did enjoy watching the wild animals.

the inside worked out perfectly. The bugs were a problem and the decks weren't swept off of bugs ore cobb webs, also if we wanted to use the kayaks we didn't know how to inflate them.

This is our second time renting a floating home and we enjoyed our stay. This floating home is on a small canal. The inside of the home was wonderful with great beds and space. The outside of the home needed a good power wash and clean up. Swallow nests make a large mess on the deck and lots of spider webs on the windows. Also make sure everyone in your party can sleep through train noise as there is a crossing behind the home with train whistles every 30 minutes throughout the night. We really liked all the wildlife and watching the neighbor houses fishing. Parking was great and there are plenty of restaurants within a couple miles of the house. Overall it was a great experience, so much better than a hotel. I added a couple photos of the neighbors house looking down the canal.

Great Time

We went to this property as a local staycation (we all live in Portland). The house was clean and nice. The location is beautiful. We went to the Vancouver Farmer's market which was great and then headed out to the river. We were able to board our paddle boards and kayaks right off the property. They had two kayaks and life jackets available for us to use which was great. I had communication with the property manager and it was great. Extremely responsive. For the price, this place is wonderful. We will definitely be going back.

The inside of this house was spacious, clean and well equipped. Great movie selection. Not safe for kids - no railing around deck or walkway. Had to clean deck furniture on arrival, several fishhooks on table, boat steering wheel on walkway. Suggest inverting deck lounges and chairs to keep clean between renters. No fault of owner but swallows leave bird poop everywhere. Swarms of mosquitos at sliding door opposite kitchen so we didn't use it or the covered deck there. Deck on top of house does not exist. Please update post, as it is misleading. We loved the location and friendly residents - very interesting and diverse community. Had a great time paddling on the lake and down the river to Salmon Creek, which was quite shallow but free of blue green algae so we could see fish. We loved our stay and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Best experience. Amazing views, property, amenities, setup, love it all. Perfect for alone or family or a gathering. The whole area is like a gift. Kayak off the boat ramp, large firepit nearby. Great for family or entertaining. Little stores and food super near. Fish off the porch, top patio would be the best summer day hangout. Can't wait to come back again. Parking spot is behind the garbage can shed, purple sign. Neighbors were kind. This place had everything. Beautiful upon Beautiful.

I would leave zero stars if that were an option.We booked this floating home while traveling to our daughters’ hometown to host Thanksgiving, relying on the listing’s capacity and pet-friendly policy. While the home appeared acceptable upon arrival, the stay quickly became unacceptable.A cleaning person entered the home without notice while my husband was inside and brought two small children, creating a serious privacy and safety issue. Soon after, the upstairs toilet flooded, followed by the downstairs toilet. On Thanksgiving Day, raw sewage backed up through the downstairs shower, rendering that bathroom unsafe and unusable while we were hosting guests.Throughout this period, the host repeatedly contacted us in a panicked manner, requiring constant texting and phone communication for two full days, significantly disrupting our holiday and keeping us tied to our phones while repairs were attempted.The host suggested we leave but offered only a partial refund. Traveling with a cat and in the middle of a planned holiday gathering, relocating was not a reasonable option. The plumbing issue was not fully resolved until the day before departure.We provided photographic evidence of the sewage backup to the host and to VRBO. A 300 partial refund is inadequate for a stay involving unauthorized entry and sewage exposure. This property should not be rented until these issues are fully resolved.

The house is spacious and has some modern updates. The location on the water gives access to launch right from your stay and see some wild life. While that expectedly comes with mosquitos outside of the stay, we entered the house full of cob webs and many spiders with previously squashed bugs over the walls and floors. Also, for noise sensitive renters the train blowing its whistle going by regularly day and night should not be underestimated. With a bit more attention to cleanliness and the spider situation dealt with, we would stay again. For parking, stick to the hosts instructions rather than neighbors trying to give different advice.

RELAXING RETREAT!

This house is very well equipped all over! Super clean place with everything you can think of on hand. It was such a comfortable stay and I wish we wouldn’t have had so many plans so we could’ve enjoyed the house more. Rained a bit but didn’t experience any problems with leaks inside the house. The master bedroom and bathroom were super spacious and the other rooms a very good size. The house has seating areas all throughout inside and out. Everything was in working condition for us. The kitchen was well stocked with condiments, utensils, pots and mostly everything needed to cook our meals. This place is “Friendly-Town”. We felt very safe and saw people of all ages around the property, all so very approachable and always seemed happy to see us. We had great communication with Jodi, the owner’s sister who manages the rental. Shout out to the owners and Jodi, who made this trip extra special for my kids by making sure they had an extra form of entertainment for the water since the kayaks on the pics had been thrown out.

Location is only positive remark i can give, beautiful river & lovely birds, fowl & animals to enjoy. Unit was filthy, roof leaked, we contacted owner & supposedly nothing could be done so bowls of water had to be placed around to keep entire living area from being soaked. Bowls had to be dumped every 4-6 hours! Im pretty sure a wetvac could have removed the water & repairs could gave been done. Carpet had disgusting pet stains everywhere, floors didnt look as if theyd been swept or scrubbed for years. Mouse & rat droppings in kitchen cupboard. Window in one of the bedrooms had the screen partially on & a pound of disgusting dead flies, spiders & webs, scared my daughter so bad she was unable to sleep!
