One-of-a-kind beachfront estate with a primary and guest house. La Casona lies on three and a half verdant acres located in the heart of Santa Teresa. A Costa Rican-style home with wooden beams, high ceilings, and airy verandas. Chef's kitchen with a gas stove and stainless steel appliances. Watch the beach in the hammocks, daybeds, or deep pool. Have a Yoga lesson in our shala overlooking the waves. Enjoy the beachfront ping pong table and Flintstones style gym. Bedrooms have a balcony, deck, or terrace. All rooms have A/C, ceiling fans, and French doors. The main house has five rooms, and the guest house has three rooms. We are within walking distance to Banana Beach! Magical Beach Oasis

The property has two buildings, the casita (3 bedrooms) and the main house (5 bedrooms). Both of the houses have pools. The beach access is super easy just a path right to the waves. The property is super quiet other than the sounds of nature. The cleaning and security staff are amazing, always super helpful and kind. The concierge helped us book massages and taxis and even helped with groceries.

Paradise

5/5 stars We had an incredible time at Casona! The property manager communicated well and helped set up all our excursions and dinners. The property is beautiful, with plenty of space to enjoy and experience without leaving home, but also within walking distance from excellent restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. We enjoyed sunset ping pong and naps in the multiple hammocks all around. The beach in the backyard was so lovely; morning beach walks and early evening strolls led to a beautiful, relaxing stay. It's perfect for family, friends, or a romantic getaway. I will certainly be back. We loved Santa Teresa and can't wait to come back to Casona.

Most amazing place in Costa Rica!

Casa Casona is so beautiful in every aspect. The house with the open air main floor flows to the outside and pool area that is so dreamy. So much space to relax in the sun and shade. We ate most dinners at the outdoor dining area. The private yoga lessons in the covered area overlooking the ocean was a perfect way to start the day. We were a group of 10 and the guests house was perfect for part of the group. I can’t imagine a more beautiful house in Costa Rica - everything was perfect! The house is very close to everything in town and a 30 second walk to the beach. No car or atv needed. Delicious restaurants in town, grocery stores and great little shops….oh and the incredibly nice people everywhere. Mari was a great host. Highly recommend to stay here., you won’t be disappointed.

The Ultimate Beach Retreat

I cannot say enough about our wonderful stay at this piece of paradise. As it is beachfront you can literally walk out onto the beach from the backyard which is absolutely incredible. The sunsets are beautiful and we loved waking up and stepping out to the beach without having to pack up anything. The property is very private and spacious. We loved the lush tropical vibe and the attention to detail in the decor - everything was beautiful and also functional. The rooms each have their own character and the beds were very comfy. There are also lots of different common areas for hanging out and we barely wanted to leave the house! Even though the beach is right there it was great to also have the pool for another option. The location can't be beat as it is right off the main street so its very walkable. Some cool places we walked to were banana beach, Satori and Katana. The host was also wonderful; she answered all of our questions and had great recommendations. We have stayed at many rentals over the years and this is absolutely one of the best - could not recommend it more. Looking forward to our next visit as we will definitely be returning!

My husband and I were born and raised in Miami. We love to travel and have beautiful beaches, surf, and tons to discover. However, Costa Rica holds an extraordinary place in our hearts. We found Santa Teresa 20 years ago and instantly fell in love with the jungle's magic and the ocean's beauty.

Perfect for families and groups who enjoy the surf, the ocean, beautiful sunsets, and a magic town meant to be explored. The blue zone brings fresh air and breeze and the vibe of Pura Vida.

There are two homes on the property and two fantastic deep pools in the tropical jungle. You can watch the ocean during a yoga or meditation session from the private shall, day beds, or hammocks on the property. Then, check out the waves from the backyard, pop on your board, and jump right into the surf.
Private chef services, private yoga lessons, or sunset horseback rides are available upon request. The property is situated right in the middle of town, and within walking distance of the best restaurants, Santa Teresa offers.
