Welcome to our home away from home, located in a quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Maryville. You’ll find everything you need to relax in our spacious, yet cozy ranch-style home.
Only 20 minutes to the Knoxville, Tyson McGhee airport and close to all the amenities of Maryville, Townsend, and the Knoxville area, you’ll find it a convenient base of operations for your explorations in East Tennessee.
*Tail of the Dragon... amazing! It's 30 minutes away... and there's a garage for your bikes!
*The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is 20 minutes.. or make a route adjustment and you’re in Pigeon Forge, Dollywood or Gatlinburg.
*UT VOLS! You’re a quick 30-minute drive to Neyland stadium.
**Hike, Bike, or rent a Jeep or UTV to explore. Tour Cades Cove and Tukaleechee Caverns... it's all here and right close by.
At the end of an exciting day, relax in the open living space. Catch up on the scores or news with hi-speed internet or TV. Or gather in the cook’s kitchen for a comfortable meal and conversation; the kitchen is well stocked with all the essentials (JoAnn is a great cook and likes to have everything needed to make tasty meals when we're in town!) The Keurig coffee maker (coffee and tea provided) makes the morning cuppa easy.
There are three bedrooms; Master bedroom with queen four-poster bed and en-suite bath, the second bedroom also has a queen bed., and the bunk-bed in the 3rd bedroom sleeps 2.
Can’t sleep or early riser? Relax in the den with a coffee and a book. Is your job joining you on your adventure? Set up shop at the vintage study desk and keep up with the demands of the office (USB connects you to monitor and keyboard).
The weather is usually great in East Tennessee, so relax on the private back patio and enjoy the large back yard. Be sure to watch for "lightnin' bugs" on a Summer's evening.

Located in Maryville, this vacation home is in a rural area and near theme parks. Palace Theater and Capitol Theatre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include 411 Biker Depot and Smoky Mountain Paintball. Tube Junction and River Rage Go-Kart Track are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Perfect house, perfect location

The house is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Although we were staying there to attend Dad's brother's funeral and burial in the cemetery that was just 6 minutes away, the location was very convenient for a quick trip to Townsend for dinner. The house has a lovely living/kitchen area that was spacious enough for our family to sit and share photos and stories. The entire house was very clean and up-to-date. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms convenient.

Great House in quiet neigborhood

We had a great stay. The neighborhood and neighbors were great. The house was the perfect size for 6 people and the owners provided everything we needed for the stay. I would highly recommend this house if you're in the Marville area.

UGA v Tenn

Great place about 35 minutes south of U of Tenn. The house sits just outside one of the best National Parks in the US, the quietness of the countryside of Maryville was welcomed.

Vært: JoAnn and Mike Tedrow

We are Mike and JoAnn and we love East Tennessee. Why? Our "kids" and grand kids live here! AND It's BEAUTIFUL! The people are lovely and the weather is great... most of the time.

SO, we bought this house for a place to crash when we come to visit. Our daughter helps us out by looking after things at the house when we're away and we have a wonderful team of folks to help us keep things running great.

We love to hike, tour antique shops and yard sales, and explore the region. There are some great destinations here!

We were excited to find this home. We live in a "distant state" and wanted to have a place to hang out while we visit our family in Maryville. Since we're not there the majority of the time, its an opportunity for us to share what we've found with you!

We have a nice, quiet neighborhood, a spacious yard with room to play, (the adjacent vacant lot is ours too), plus the house has a comfortable layout, and is in great condition!

This is a great location from which one can explore the wonders of East Tennessee and beyond. We're having a great time doing that!

As the saying goes... location, location, location! We're close to just about everything you may want to see in East Tennessee, but we're far enough away that you can get away from the "busy" part of the big attractions. AND... you don't need a 4-wheel drive or the ability to climb mountains to get here!

In our first year with the house we made a ton of upgrades to the house: new... heating/cooling unit, hot water tank, refrigerator, dish washer, fresh paint here and there, lighting upgrades and lots of pruning and work on the landscaping (with more to come). It's been fun, but more importantly, it's great to have confidence that things are in excellent repair.
