Spacious Condo in the Heart of Hilton Head

The Moorings 2BR condo in the beautiful Hilton Head, SC is located just steps away from the beach and the very popular Dunes House beachfront restaurant (open weather permitting). This complex contains buildings that are two stories with pool and lagoon views. There are many amenities for your convenience, including large private decks. There is also an onsite pool that is open from April through September.

Modern and upgraded condo with a fully-equipped kitchen, plenty of sleeping arrangements, and beautiful views.

From lagoon views, beachfront resort-style pools, marina views with easy access to restaurants, and more, we have it all at this award-winning Hilton Head Island resort.

The beautiful beach and world-class golf are only the beginning. The best place for Hilton Head bike rentals and water sports is right here, along with a full-service marina, award-winning tennis and pickleball center, and a sweeping 11-mile lagoon for kayaking, fishing or simply getting back to nature on a boat tour.

Parking
• Parking is limited to 1 vehicle (2nd vehicle is possible only with prior authorization and an extra charge).
Parking fees are:
1-2 nights $20
3-7 nights $35

Things to know
• Traveler must be at least 21 years of age to make a reservation
• State Identification Card or Driver's License copy will be requested upon booking
House rules
• NO SMOKING in the unit/house as well as the balcony. Any violation of the smoking policy will incur a $1000.00 fine plus the cleaning costs necessary to remove smoke odors from the unit/house and/or linens.
• Please note: We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, as well as stolen or damaged items that occur while on the premises, its facilities, or parking lots
• State Identification Card or Driver's License copy will be requested upon booking
• No parties or events: Violators will be charged a $200 - $500 fine
• NO PETS ALLOWED. Any violation of this policy will incur a $200.00 fine

Nice place

Very nice, newly renovated, very clean condo near the beach and pool. Also very walkable to other community amenities - general store, restaurants, stream fishing, bike rental, etc.

Amazing location, beautiful condo!

Absolutely loved our time at 53, the moorings! Very clean and updated. 4 minute walk to the beach, 1 minute to pool. Can't wait to return!

Great Condo in Palmetto Dunes

We’ve been staying at palmetto dunes for over 20 years. It was nice to stay it an updated condo that appeared to be recently renovated. Everything was nice and close enough to the beach where you don’t have to have a bike trailer for all your gear. Would definitely return next year for a visit to the same place.

Great Place

We had four adults stay at this newly renovated condominium. The interior, decorations, furniture, appliances and amenities are all new, and are all top-notch. The location is excellent - walking distance to the beach, pickleball/tennis facility, general store and Robert Trent Jones golf course. We've stayed at a lot of places over the years, and this was one of the very best. We will be back.

Great central location

Normally we have a car on our HHI holidays. This past April we flew into Savannah and took a taxi ($120 )to Palmetto Dunes. No need for a car for four days. Biked everywhere. Ate out for all meals. Breakfast at Starbucks, lunch at the Dune’s House, biked to Shelter Cove for supper. The beach is 100m from The Moorings. We will rent here again.

Enjoyable Stay

We stayed for 12 nights and felt home away from home in this accommodation. The condo is really clean, quiet and feels like a new apartment (apparently recently renovated) with new appliances. Everything worked well. It is also very convenient with only a few min walk to the Dune House (beach) and very close to a big shopping center. For golf lovers, this could not be a better place as there are three top notch golf courses in the Palmetto development and all within a few min drive (almost walkable distance). Don't forget to bring pickleball paddles if you like to play as there are so many places to play and it is very popular. The communication to our host was very good too. The weather was not very cooperating during our stay, rained for a few days, and that made a nice place like this even more important. Overall, we are very satisfied.

Can’t beat this location!

Our group has vacationed on Hilton Head Island two years in a row and you cannot beat the location and convenience of Palmetto Dunes! This condo at the Moorings was a great central location for everything in the resort and was just a quick walk to the beach with a beach side restaurant right there! The condo was very spacious; great kitchen; comfortable beds; an all around great place to stay! My only complaint is with the management company that responded to my messages in the vrbo app and the directions for checking in and getting parking passes. The information email made it seem like one parking pass was free with the booking & additional passes would have an additional charge, but trying to secure multiple parking passes was a hassle and I never spoke to the same person twice, so I had to repeat myself a lot. Upon arrival, it wasn’t clear where we should go to get the passes, and then we had to pay for all of them, not just the additional passes. Such a small thing to complain about in hindsight. We had a great time and it really only took an extra 10 minutes to secure the passes we needed and get checked in. We will vacation at Palmetto Dunes every year, and this condo at the mornings was an awesome place to be!

Great condo, not so great property manager

Condo and Palmetto Dunes were wonderful! Condo was clean, very spacious, close proximity to the heart of Palmetto Dunes and beach access. Balconies on this condo is facing the lagoon so it was very private, which we enjoyed. We have no complaints about the physical condo or Palmetto Dunes itself, our complaints has everything to do with the property management company, which is managed by a company called Hosteeva. We were not sent check in information, it was about an hour until arrival and so we called the number and it sounded like a call center. The lady said they haven’t sent it because they did not receive a picture of the person who booked it and their ID. Weird. So while my husband was driving I take to take pictures of his face and ID to send to them. 2nd.. we messaged to find out if there was a coffee pot or keurig and received a message from Gary saying he replied to my gmail. Weird. So we had to go searching for said email. Why couldn’t he have just responded to the message? 3rd.. On the VRBO app it says check out is 11am. The night before check out we receive a text saying check out is 10am. We planned our trip to check out at 11am so that’s what we stuck with. At 9:30am a cleaning lady showed up knocking on our door asking if we were checking out today. We told her we were told 11am and we’d be out by 10:30am and she seemed very irritated with that. Even if we were leaving at 10am, she still showed up 30 minutes early and knocked and was irritated.
