This guest booked her reservation in early 2019 and continued to beg to reschedule her stay for one reason or another until the property she originally secured for her stay sold and after nearly three years, the new owners were unwilling to honor her reservation because the property was being renovated. We offered, at that time, to give her a full refund but because she could not find another property in that same price range, (rates increased over the course of three years), she chose to stay in this property. It is still ocean front with great views but is not as close to the waters edge as her original choice. The photos in the ad are quite accurate, As property managers, we do our best to accommodate our guests requests but there are some things, such as sales of properties that are out of our control. Our contract with the owners of the properties we manage ensures all confirmed reservations will be honored for a year, if the property sells. We are happy to hear that while this was not her first choice, she enjoyed her time in Maui and hope other travelers will appreciate the clarification of these unique circumstances.
