Private, Quiet Studio With Mountain Views

The studio offers privacy, peace and quiet, and a chance to relax and rejuvenate in the Green Mountains of Southern Vermont. The town of Brattleboro with shops, art venues, pubs and restaurants is twenty minutes away.

We've converted our music studio into the guest suite, adding a modern kitchen and bath (shower only, no tub). The carpeted living space is well heated in Winter and has air conditioning in Summer. Recessed lighting adds to its understated charm. With 100 mile views of the mountains, the studio also offers full drapes for our guests who like to sleep in.

The kitchen features a modern electric stove, microwave, half-size refrigerator, coffee maker, pots, pans, cutlery and dishes. We provide spices, tea and coffee, and some yummy Vermont treats.

Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed with new mattress and luxury topper, and a small couch which folds out to a single bed. A twin-sized air mattress with full beddings is also available upon request. The studio is accessible by stairs, with a private entrance. High-speed internet and TV are included for our guests who prefer not to unplug.

The neighborhood features lots of wooded walking trails and the historic Green River covered bridge. Outdoor recreation nearby includes hiking, biking, kayaking and swimming in Summer, and downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and ice skating in Winter.

With almost no light pollution, constellations and the milky way can be seen overhead just outside the front door. Due to family allergies, no pets are present on the property, although you may see local wildlife during your stay including turkeys, deer, and porcupine.

The historic Latchis Theater in downtown Brattleboro shows art and feature films, and the Vermont Jazz Center and Stone Church host many concerts. Marlboro Music Festival, The Putney School, and Landmark College are about forty-five minutes away.

** We observe strict cleaning policies, making sure that all shared surfaces and beddings are disinfected for the comfort and safety of our guests.
** No smoking or open flames are allowed on the property.
** This property is pet-free due to allergies
(although you might see deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife during your stay).
** We live up a dirt road which can be challenging to travel after a snowstorm. Snow tires and all-wheel drive are highly recommended during the Winter months.
** We have recently upgraded to highspeed internet!
