Excellent find - with a condition

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an excellent stay at Silver Sands - location was perfect with private access to the beach, which included chairs, umbrellas and towels. Pool was clean and a good size. Our unit had everything we needed - was clean and comfortable. One condition however - we were on the first floor (of 2 floors) and would not do that again. You could hear absolutely every movement above us during our stay, which soured an otherwise perfect vacation. Would definitely stay here again - but get a unit on the 2nd floor!

Perfect place

The location, accommodation and friendly staff made this the perfect getaway. Steps away from the beach in a quiet area. It is an older property but our rental was clean and had all the basics you need. We will definitely return.

A great place for family time

Our experience was great. Loved the unit we shared with our two daughters. The pool and beach access made the trip fun. Everything on the property was well kept and very clean. Our unit was well equipped, and we found it to be quiet. We took advantage of the free bike rental too. We give Silver Sands high marks!

I can't wait to come back! It was so much nicer than the pictures.

I believe the property manager's name is Brian, what an outstanding employee. So friendly, his recommendations on where to go were spot on, always a smile and the guy never stopped working! He was all over helping anyone that needed it from the time he got there until the day was over. Work ethic and attitude like that are rarely seen anymore. My grandmother was so impressed as well and she can be quite picky! 😉 I can't wait to come back.

PRISTINE BEACH LOCATION

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: great location; office staff helpful and very flexible. the interior is dated, there were some flaws....busted water sprinkler in ceiling, old grout in the tub, there was a fan in the bedroom to accommodate the air flow. but overall clean and efficient. nothing fancy, just the basics in a very nice, low key environment. clean landscaping and wonderful pool. beachside chairs and equipment available....PERFECT BEACH and SUNSET. well worth the money

Very nice, low key resort

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time I have stayed at this resort. The first time was in a balcony room and the view of the ocean is amazing from there, but due to back issues, I chose one on the ground floor. The room was immaculate, and I was very impressed with the lady at the front desk. I had a couple of minor problems which she immediately addressed (toaster was broken---got a new one, tv was messed up and she fixed it). My main complaint was the mattress. It definitely needs to be replaced with a more comfortable one, and so do the pillows. The bathroom could use an update, but it was fine. I was very pleased with the number of plates, dishes, pots and pans, etc. that were provided. This is not a huge, 5 star resort, but it's really nice if you are looking for a laid back experience at the beach. The pool is also kept immaculate, and the umbrellas and beach chairs are complimentary. I was very grateful that the resort has purchased some taller beach chairs, which is really helpful when one is recovering from back surgery and getting up from a low chair is painful.

Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Red tide was awful.

Left after one night and was refused a refund. Coughed the whole time and all the dead fish smelled terrible.

The red tide this year has been unfortunate for all of us. Our cancellation policy is standard. We encourage guests to consider purchasing our trip insurance during red tide season to mitigate the chance of an unpleasant vacation experience.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’m a repeat visitor and remain generally satisfied with the Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. However, your housekeeping service has greatly deteriorated over the years. Beds not made, linens/towels not changed even upon request, trash not emptied, toiletries and kitchen supplies not replenished, floors poorly swept.
